This house is criminally underrated and I’m glad you’re giving them the limelight they deserve. Wazamba is one of my favorite incense fragrances and now I need to get my nose on a few more, especially Musc Tonkin. I really enjoy musky animalics so this one sounds right up my alley. Thanks again!
Some of my favourites from this house that you didn't mention are Cuir Ottoman (delicious and elegant leather with iris, labdanum, benzoin, tolu and vanilla that's not animalic at all) and Aziyadé (again, delicious oriental spicy with plum, dates, pomegranate, orange, almonds, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, caraway and tobacco).
Both GORGEOUS choices. I would add Tabac Tabou (a journey of a fragrance) and Fougere Bengale, and you have my top top fragrances from this house. And the amber and the incense are both pretty good as well
I've been gravitating towards greener fougere type of fragrances lately and I have to say, Corsica Furiosa is so so amazing, on my to buy list along with another masterpiece Mousse Illuminee. Don't get any tomato from it tho, did blind testing along with some other samples from Luckyscent, the one that ended up smelling exactly like a tomato was Cardinal from Zoologist, but I was so sure that it's Corsica Furiosa because I knew that there's a tomato leaf note in there :D On the other hand I get nuttiness from it, buried somewhere in those beautiful green notes.
Mal-Aimé sounds lovely. I love aromatics. I was also brought up around gardens... both my Grandma and Aunty, with whom I spent my childhood weekends and school holidays, had allotments and grew fruit, veg, flowers and herbs. Love those scent memories 💚
This is probably my favorite house, all around. He does such amazing things with immortelle. In addition to Immortelle Corse, there's Fougere Bengale and Tabac Tabou, both of which are fantastic. Fougere Bengale is tough at first, but I've come to really love it.

I really want to like this house but for some reason we don’t get along that well. Based on the note breakdown I should love some of their offerings, but for some reason it never works out on skin for me … 🤷🏼 As always thanks for sharing Sebastian!

Just got three samples from Parfum d'Empire today. I've now sniffed them on test strips and I have a feeling I'm gonna love this house..! Corsica Furiosa smells amazing, can't wait to test it on my skin! The other two are Wazamba and Acqua di Scandola (my first ever marine scent), and I think Wazamba may be a favourite too. Smells like what I hoped Filles des Aguilles would smell... Exciting..! I hope they do well on my skin, because then I probably will order some more samples of some you've mentioned here.
Great video! I have a more recent version of Ambre Russe as well as a sample of the original formulation. Have to say, it might be oxidised but still, the older version retains its fizz for longer, has a more heady feel and a bigger amber trail. Also smells more old school, not even sure which version I prefer!

Ooh! 😮 Been looking for a new hay-like fragrance - with moss, too? The notes sound perfect for a warm sunny day (I do have a favorite hay fragrance, but always looking for another!). Musk Tonkin!! - been looking for an alternative to the yummy heavy musky animalic honeyed and unfortunately discontinued Absolue Pour Le Soir… And yes! Quality Greek resin mastic is so nice to chew. Ambre Rose… def have to try as ambers are such a fav (juniper and dried fruits!)!!!! Thanks, Sebastian, for another great intro to a special house!

I WILL smell Ambre Russe in 2023. I promise. 😄 But yeah, Vetiver Bourbon piqued my curiosity when I first saw it pop up on Parfumo. Rooty is how we like 'em. 😎 Tabac Tabou the only decant I have from the brand and it's an interesting warm narcissus frag. Only heard great things about Marc-Antoine's work.
The majority of these fragrances, with the exception of Le Cri De La Lumiere, sound like they are masculine offerings. Anything that's unisex or even feminine targeted from the brand?
Oh noooooo. For me Musc Tonkin is the most rotten indolic jasmine mix with some animal secretion. Just like an indolic overripe blooming sambac jasmine flower freshly picked from the schrub. Delicious is a weird way to describe it.

I adore this house! I haven’t been let down once. They are quite classic with an innovative edge. I think my favourite is Fougere Bengale.

It's an acquired taste for sure and only for the faint of heart! :)
