The problem is not what men of God don't like, you are missing something here. It's about defending the Word of God. God is not interested with preference of men but what he approves as his word he will fight for. Mathias are you a defender of the bible or a defender of Abel?

Dr Abel Damina may not be completely correct in saying that you war or wrestle by preaching the gospel of Christ alone without prayers. He's not right in his teaching That, it's by standing with the word of truth that you war, not by kneeling. Now, when Paul said in Ephesians6 from verse 12 that: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Paul was not writing to preachers of the gospel alone in Ephesus. And when you check his style of writing that chapter, it was not suggesting that it was through the preaching of the gospel that you bind the wicked spirits in heavenly places, principalities or powers. Because he continued in verse 13 to tell them of an evil day that would come(of course there's always an evil day in the life id a person generally) -which was why he wanted them to withstand all the power of Satan and then stand firm 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; He then comes with the preaching of gospel of peace in the next verse 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; He afterwards talks about the faith of/on Jesus Christ as a shield, with the understanding that it is capable of quenching the fiery(burning) dart( missile, javelin, arrow) of darkness 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Then, he comes up to say in the next verse that they should have all these with them as convictions, and then, with all these at their disposal, they should pray especially in the Spirit. 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Let me give you a practical example of what Paul meant: Paul, on several occasions, he wanted visiting the churches, but he was hindered by Satan. 1Thess2 18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us. And Paul didn't overcome that by preaching as Dr Damina teaches, rather he made incessant prayers to God concerning such matters, which is the warfare against the powers stopping him. Now, in our time, for instance, you can discern how principalities and powers operate. You can decide or being led by God to organise a crusade. And principalities and powers that do not want people to hear the word will begin to work through men and women, even amongst believers to stop that crusade. Apostle Paul tells us that it's not those flesh and blood we should wrestle with but we should understand that there are powers behind them, stirring them up to do what they are doing in the negative against the preaching of the gospel. We should rather engage them with all the armoury of God at our disposal which must not exclude prayers. For instance, in my location some years back, we planned to host a crusade. And had made all necessary arrangement for it. But at the 11th hour, Catholic church in connivance with the community declared that no crusade should hold within the town for 6months or thereabout. And Catholic church was ready to scatter our crusade. And the person the devil used to stir that up knows me very well. In fact, he's a close kinsman who is a preacher too. What would you do in that situation,? Would you go and start preaching to them, since they don't want to hear you preach? Now, with the understanding of what Paul said in Ephesians6, we knew it was the devil warring against the church through him&them. We went into prayers and overcame. We held the crusade, the power of God moved and nobody stopped us. All the people they mobilised scattered, getting to the venue got confused and couldn't do anything. How did we achieve it, it was through our kneels. Not through preaching of the gospel. Dr Damina is known for coming to say things that are not scripturally balanced and some not-too-informed believers will be hailing him. Most times, he's wrong. And he has people that do not go back and study and compare scriptures and allow the Spirit to teach them. Now, let me ask you, if principalities and powers, through Federal Govt of Nigeria, where Dr Damina lives, bans his church from operations or himself from preaching(God forbid), how would he get unbanned? Will it be through preaching the gospel without praying or will he pray to God? If he prays, it means that he recognises that principalities and powers are fighting his ministry or the church, then it makes his teaching on warfare is in error. May the Lord Grant us understanding

We wage war on the devil and his kingdom primarily through prayers. Then all other activities of the kingdom such as preaching, healing the sick , deliverance etc come as a result of the victories we have won in prayers . Surely any child of God who walks by the spirit will know this for certain, because of the daily interaction with the spirit of God. Be warned christians, many people take pictures with men of God in order to use them in future to validate their ministries yet their doctrinal stands do not agree. I sincerely believed the WEAPONS involve preaching/teaching and prayers. No where does that passage put off the place of prayers kindoff. We can always promote the preaching/teaching of the word without putting off prayers. For those that seems to understand what he said, can you give more scriptural references to the fact that spiritual warfare is about preaching/teaching and not done on our knee (prayer I guess)?
