The truth is that at first I didn't pay much attention to this song and I just concentrated on playing, but now that I listen to it in more detail, it's a very good song. Also, 3:16 I love that fade out that part has and then it comes all out with the drop
1:19 is the the first really good part imo 1:52 is probably my favorite part (And the part that it repeats it near the end) I can't stop listening to this remix lol, it's such an amazing banger!
I agree with you. For me, the "nostalgic" feels are coming from 2:17 (the piano-like sound). My only explanation would be that the melody is fairly slow compared to the fast beat you hear along with it. Because the melody is slow is what reminds us of our pasts and how much we want to delve in it, but the fast beat just shows how fast we're moving past the nostalgia. The gradual decent of the melody would also capture the nostalgic feeling, but I'm not really sure how I'd explain this one (I guess that the gradual descent "completes" the melody, which can also mean the complete recalls of your nostalgia). 3:17 would also be one of my choices for feeling nostalgic. The beat gradually fades in, but the older melody we've heard in 2:17 is in the background now, with more focus on the beats along with a newer melody that's louder, which probably shows our focus in the present instead of the past. Until 4:15, it's all been a build up to the climax of the song, releasing all the previous stuff we've heard from the beginning to where it is now. From this part, you can clearly hear both the melody and the beat working together to create this climax, as well as the voice samples adding on as well (This'd probably explain that "mixed" nostalgic feeling). These are just my thoughts and I thought it'd be nice to share.
For the past few years, I've been running to a lot of Sharpnel music, including this song. During your run, if you pace yourself with the tempo of the music, it's a killer. Here's a good way to feel alive: get out in 100+ degree weather and give 80% up to the slowdown, 30% during the slowdown, then 100% after it until the end. chain this song with others like "Over the Fullereneshift", "Gate Openerz", "Back to the Gate" ect. and practice the same.
Osu songs hits hard, im not play now, but still hits? and why it s so underrated? Every songs i listening it s bangers but it s to much underrated like why?
J-Core afaik is relatively niche, so you're not gonna find many people listening to these kinds of songs. I definitely agree that most of DJ Sharpnel's works are really good to listen to. Even outside of rhythm games I just vibe to their songs since the 2000's feel just make me feel at home.
Hell no, it may be an acquired taste to some, but that shouldn't discourage anyone from enjoying the music they like! I have been listening to DJ Sharpnel since 2005 or so and by now, I got nearly his entire discography on CD - that's how good it is! No other artist or band has left quite such an impression on me.
@@ELHV That is awesome dude, I still am listening to him, he's such a great artist and I find it awesome to know that you've been a fan since 2005, such an awesome ride it must have been to see many of his songs being released
@@retinas Unfortunately I wasn't as invested then as I am now, so I ended up missing out on a lot. I only really started catching up around 2-3 years ago when he had already shut down his label and stopped doing actual live performances ;/
1:57 really is the best part
