@@motorpsycholj Agreed. Euclid has to be last, but I freaking can't wait for them to get to it. I'm an old dude who just discovered Sleep Token five days ago, and Euclid might be my all time favorite song. It's a masterpiece.
“Sundowning” can be interpreted to refer to a group of behaviors that are consistent among people with Dementia. They are often placid by day, and as the evening progresses and night falls, their behavior will become more erratic. It can present as confusion, restlessness, aggression, anxiety, fear, etc. I’ve always took this to be like Vessel comparing the onset of night for *him* to be a change so radical that it’s like Sundowning. The Night, in the dark while he sleeps, is when he is graced with the presence of his deity and only then. So it makes sense that even with the intense emotions that come along with seeing the Goddess, all showcased throughout the discography, he welcomes the night. It’s like heaven.
fun began in album "One" and "Two" truly my favorites are Fields of Elation, When the Bough Breaks, Jericho and Calcutta. Of course everything since then has been fanfuckintastic too XD
@@butsid to be fair, TMBTE does have some songs that aren't as "spicy" maybe, but it is gold in its own way, I believe that album is what drew them the most attention.
4:31 in answer to your question, you should look up “Sundowning disorder.” The name of the album heavily ties into the meaning behind those lyrics. A quick summary, though: “ Sundowning, also known as sundown syndrome or sundowner syndrome, is a group of symptoms that many people with dementia experience in the late afternoon and early evening. It is characterized by confusion, agitation, restlessness, and anxiety, which can worsen as the daylight begins to fade.”
saw them recently and when they opened with it I was so incredibly stoked. too many people are sleeping on this one (pun not intended) , no one was singing along in the crowd lol
Loved the insight to the lyrics. Pretty sure guys hit it on the nail. Look up the word ‘sundowning’ Incase you didn’t think to. Helps put more perspective to this song and album. Looking forward to the rest of the journey!
Excellent reaction my dudes. I'm so glad you have taken this journey. Watching you guys react to this is like reminding me of the first time I heard these songs. I'm jealous. Enjoy! 🤘
This song does tell you alot. Remember, the album is entitled Sundowning, which is a state of confusion/anxiety towards the end of the day into the night. I interpret this as him saying that feeling of confusion comes down like heaven because he is able to escape his "Normal" which is worse.
So I'm going to jump ahead alot here. But after listening to all these albums I feel the tangling endlessly is within himself. He has a split personality in a sense during the day where he lives happily with angels on his side yada yada. But then the night comes and this alternate, darker personality grabs hold. He is intertwined with this and at the end of the third album he speaks of breaking free of it. However he ultimately cannot as they are entangled. This song from the first album and the last song from the last album continue a type of groundhog day scenario that I think alot of us can relate to. But again I'm jumping ahead. I enjoyed this reaction and my interpretation I'm sure is not shared by all.
This is the song that I found to embody the lore/concept of "worship". I genuinely appreciate your insights into the lyrics and intent, and like you, I have always had difficulty with the part of the song and just rely on the melody and build-up. Like you said, sometimes you just gotta let it be what it is🤷♂
Also, in my opinion, in order to achieve manhood you need to experience a rock bottom. For me it was cocaine addiction. Every individual has their own. But I TRULY believe without getting to a place with no help and a true need for help from others, no male can achieve manhood. You guys are excellent. Keep going! Bless 🙏🏼❤️✨
Last video I suggested discord but my comments seem to disappear I know a lot of people think this was written about sundowners syndrome but actually it’s not. Y’all are getting good at deciphering the metaphors 😁
TMBTE is definitely the most easy digestible which would explain its popularity. It’s my least favorite album, but it’s still really good. I’m happy for the band. They deserve all the love they’re getting.
Now wait till you hear "Euclid", which is one of the most beautiful songs ever. Enjoy the ride.
Shhhhhhhhhh #nospoilers
Save Euclid for last

Great explanation!
The night is where he is safe. No one will bother him. It’s heaven😅
Just came back to this and thought after you mentioned the glitches, “glitches in the code or gaps in a strange dream” from Ascensionism
Right!!!! I'm enjoying connecting the dots!
@@UncleTrebor the way he connects everything is crazy! Genius song writing
Respect going from the beginning. Sundowning is where the fun begins
No…. The fun began at the beginning and hasn’t stopped.

Don’t forget Thread the Needle. Such a beautiful dark song.
The fun starts on the ep's One and Two, and ends on This Place Will Become Your Tomb.
TMBTE is a pretty bland album.

Yeah we def didnt know it was a medical condition as well... It fits perfectly in the rest of the imagery.
Y'all, this starts a journey. Listen to this hard. Worship.
The beauty of this song is that it bookends their trilogy album project perfectly. There are many call backs and references to TNDNBTG in Euclid.
all of their music is based around the lore of the deity "Sleep", so lyrically, they will all come around to this lore.
I have found with sleep token the imagery is always so beautiful
this is the most beautiful sleeptoken song

Yaay Sundowning, where all the beauty is, I love this album so much ❤
Here we go ! The true journey begins. The singles are good and all but the album songs top tier!
This is a real journey, you are really giving it your full attention and I love that. Excited to see the rest of this
He loves the night because that’s when the deity of Sleep appears in his dreams
You guys are gonna love the way this album plays out
Hype for the individual go thru all the way up to tmbte ! Keep um coming fellas
It definitely deserves that attention!
Welcome to the trilogy guys ❤
Glad to be here!! Thanks for the support

So excited for yall's Sundowning journey!! Offering nneexxxtt🤗
Glitches in the code or gaps in a strange dream maybe? There was a Glitch in ascensionism too, if you remember correctly 😉
Yeah you right!!
Man. I clicked on this shit so fast. Let’s fucking go!!

Couldnt have said it better... This channel sharing my experiences and lessons from my journey from the rock bottom.
By the way you guys interpreted the lyrics. You’ll cry at the journeys end.

Look up the definition of Sundowning as well 😎
This song, in my opinion, is about Sundowner’s Alzheimer’s…where you lose your consciousness and wits once the sun sets
Keep in mind this album was called “Sundowning”
Looking at it again... You're probably right
I know you guys are on your own ST journey, but pls save Euclid for last
Oh thats not doubt! We just have to get there before the next album!!
TMBTE is definitely the most easy digestible which would explain its popularity. It’s my least favorite album, but it’s still really good. I’m happy for the band. They deserve all the love they’re getting.
I can definitely see that happening by the time we get back to TMBTE... Dope journey either way
And normies say Taylor Swift is a "poetic genius"
lmao
LOL Don't hate on Taylor! She def is an S class songwriter... Maybe not as of late but...
