18:58 That final time skip was how the "mere 10 years" of their adventure would seem when compared to the 1000 years that passed when she lived in that area and watched civilization grow.
Flamme and Fern are also a different species. Humans in general are shown to be much more active and energetic than elves. This point has been brought up multiple times. Further, in Fern's case she is holding back far less. Frieren notes that holding back mana actively makes her more lethargic than elves generally are and she is specifically, yet in the current era she conceals and restrains her mana in her sleep. Meaning that, if she's still tired by doing so, she gets by on less rest. She's been doing this a millenia, which potentially means a millenia of less restful sleep. Perhaps the bullcrap is everywhere because the bullcrap has a point.
@@firsealtonberry9712 Ohhhhhh now we are on the land of literal theories, because not a single word is spoken about differences between human and elven species, beside their long lifespan and how it makes them indifferent. Hell, it's literally spelled out "multiple times" that elves are just indifferent, but it has nothing to do with their energy or activity... it's the main theme of the show, but you managed to miss it, grats i guess To make your "multiple times" argument even worse, it's actually never said or shown that elves are less active or energetic "in general" just because of their species... quiet the contrary, for example Kraft is anything but less active or less energetic. Hell even Serie is out there running a whole world wide magic organization and ruling over magic... doesn't sound to me like less active or less energetic. Let me point out again that the only thing currently holding up your bullcrap theory is that in your mind elves are different, meanwhile in the show it's not just never mentioned, but there are multiple cases to prove you wrong. Your "but Fenr holds back less" argument is another made up bullshit, because not a single time it's mentioned that the amount makes a difference in effort. Also Fern does it since age 4 and still manages to effortlessly do it.... Frieren never "notes" that holding back mana makes her lethargic, another made up lie. Frieren says the very first time doing it that "it's tiring". But i guess you missed again that during the Aura battle she says she is doing it since 1000 years and "it's second nature" now to her, doing it effortlessly. Did you actually watch this show or just a recap? I wonder... Perhaps the bullcrap is in your head... literally
this episode of frieren showcased that you don't need over the top animation for a "fight" to be 'really good', we thought episode 9 was peak with fern and stark fight scene animations. ep 10 just did a mic drop which dropped our jaws to the floor 🤣🤣
Yeah if you remember when Frieren went hunting for the specific flowers to cast around Himmel's statue, the spell that she learned from Flamme. This is one of the only shows where the flashbacks don't seem just like exposition but really add to the story and make you connect with the characters who aren't even around anymore. That's why this is one of my favorite episodes, because I was really hoping we'd get to see some Flamme/Frieren backstory (Flamme is a character in a few other anime and is always a mage who's crazy powerful). That and the "just a feeling" hits different after.
and the fact that Frieren is way older than Flamme(even hesitated to call her master at first) and Flamme has way more larger mana pool for a human. Flamme's knowledge is ahead of her time.
Draht wasn't able to see through Frieren's mana. He was cocky because he can only see her suppressed mana. That's why he didn't believe Frieren when she said that she's far stronger than Aura.
5:00 If I recall correctly, Fern was using basic magic spells that used less mana during the fight, and adding the fact that she mastered it resulted in it being on par, if not even better than advanced spells. Basically, that sore loser of a demon is calling Fern a cheap mage that uses a BS tactic.
The king doesn't want you to know this Serie, but the elves are free. You can just go to the forest and pick one up. I have a loot gremlin elf apprentice, Serie.
Cant wait for you to see the last few episodes. All-Powerful mages and Frieren just goes insane with planet- destroying spells! Lol cant wait!! Thanks for this. Subscribed!
This is such bullshit. Those names ARE NOT JAPANESE NAMES. Therefore while they may be pronounced that way in Japanese that does not mean it’s the correct way of saying them, it just means the Japanese pronunciation is wrong. And we don’t have to adhere to incorrect pronunciations. I’m not going to walk around calling cake “cake-ii” because that’s how people in Japan pronounce the word . It literally was a blink of an eye for Frieren 😮

I thought it was a way of saying "...and the rest was history"
"She said it was tiring to always do that". Good observation - now remember that Frieren is always tired, sleepy, lethargic...
