Thanks a ton, Jason!! 🙌😁 Yeah, the availability is tough on this one.. The nice thing is that it can be played with a standard deck of cards at least. The designer Sean Ross has said there is a new version of Haggis In Development right now, but that it could be years away for release.
I like how I watched this video and didn't give it a second thought that you were wearing a costume and had ketchup on your nose. I didn't even realize that it was released on halloween until the pumpkin around the one minute mark.
Hahahaaa that's right, i never brought up it's Halloween! Shoot, how confusing, sorry! The ketchup was placed there by the background Salacious too haha!
There used to be a pretty decent iPhone app for this game but it is no longer supported. I found out when I tried to reinstall it on my phone only to find out that it is lost and gone forever.. Thankful I have a copy, and thankful for BGA implementation!
One of the first games ever on BGA and I played it so to death I even have won 2 Haggis tournaments!! How bout them apples...er um..How bout that Haggis?
how do you score points? 1. points for captured cards during the trick play (odd number cards and JQK) 2. points from haggis (odd number cards) 3. cards in opponent's hand * 5 4. opponent's card points (odd number cards and JQK) 5. bets sum up all above. Am I correct?
@@ClaudeAndTaylor it was confusing, that the printed rule in the box said; count point cards that were captured during trick play. capturing haggis and opponent's hand did not happen in the trick phase, but clarified rules on bgg helped me out. 😀

I had been playing this game so wrong! Until I saw Taylor’s video! Didn’t realize about taking the haggis :-(

I bought this one several years ago but have not found many people willing to play! I liked the plays it did get.
Oh totally! I've had to play mostly 2 player because of that. Super worth it, though👍
