Gary I watched all the videos been through the campaign 4 years ago. I thought I seen the whole campaign now I realized I missed some sites guess I'll have to go back. Last time I was in Atlanta they had not opened Atlanta Historical Center. After watching the Gettysburg videos in July will be going back next month. Enjoyed them for you and teams good work.

Wonderful series of videos. Sherman’s campaign ultimately to the sea is so fascinating it almost gets overlooked by the monster campaigns in the east but is well worth deep investigation.

Thx guys. Which of your recent videos includes Hood's evacuation of Atlanta? Episode 30 ends with the siege and as an afterthought a mention of the evacuation. Is that all? Jonesboro? Thx.

Bring the good old bugle, boys, we'll sing another song
Sing it with a spirit that will start the world along
Sing it as we used to sing it, 50,000 strong
While we were marchin' through Georgia

One did something bold with resources and little resistance the other saw if he destroy his army against at least equal force behind fortifications and succeeded. You could blame Hood but one way or another Jefferson Davis had have something to do with it, either he hatched the Hood plan or told him he is free to do what he wants with his army. And 6 months later he could have used Hoods intact army in North Carolina or Virginia, maybe there was a desertion problem and they needed a plan earlier then the next spring.

This series has been great, but I feel lile not enough attention was paid to Chattanooga, Lookout Mtn, Missionary Ridge or Stringers Ridge where all the earthworks, magazine and hut spots still remain

So like the Ancient Romans to William Wallace.... William Tecumseh Sherman used the Scorched Earth Policy changing modern warfare by extending the Battlefield to the enemy's infrastructure....
