Yes, if you want to go slow on a mountain pass, just make sure to let those who want to go faster pass. For example, when the road gets straight again after a couple of corners where passing is not possible and you’ve got some cars behind you, it is common courtesy to remain slow, signal right (if there is no oncoming traffic), and let them pass. It’s a bit like NYC: You don’t want to be walking on a sidewalk slowly, three abreast, during rush hour (we all know the expression “ meanderthals”).😂 So, as the road straightens up, let people pass. They will be most grateful :)
I love your channel content. I so want to be there. So I am a sports car driver. Is it really likely that if I drive spiritedly just on visible open and uncontested alpine pass roads that I will get heavy fine? I see videos of motorcyclists doing aggressive passes. Don’t they get fined? I took sports car through Austrian alpine passes last year with no issues. This concerns me to the level I might not want to drive in Switzerland. I love cows.
@@SwitzerlandInsider I pulled trigger. I fly out July 1. Driving Geneve to Zurich, driving/hitting the main spots and Alpine Passes. Thanks for your advice!👍
Hi. I’m planning to visit swiss on 15 Sep for 3 or 4 days. I am travelling with my wife and 2 kids less than 12 years. Do you advise me to buy the swiss travel pass? I will start from Zurich and after swiss I am heading to Paris by train. What are the area you advise to visit in Switzerland?
Yes should be alright if you dont drive at 6am after snowfall, but all the roads are cleared regularly when it snows (which it does only on a couple days a month).
As general advice - don't rent a car unless driving around the country is on your list. Finding a parking lot inside a city is very difficult and extremely expensive. You risk paying as much for the parking as you pay for your hotel. Paying for Uber is the solution. When driving off the Hyway - be careful - the speed of changing speed limits comes so fast - you are bound to run into speeding tickets. And the Swiss will use "Collection Agents" in the US to make you pay your fine. Or else - you will be on the list of "delinquent payers" when you arrive next time in Switzerland.
You are the best swiss friend , swiss king you are , ...
Love your videos! well done mate
Glad you like them!

Hi, is it’s safe for tourists to drive from Zurich to Grindewald at February with a rent car?
