Such a beautiful beach - loved photos of your beach finds at the end, and wow! the big dipper over the lighthouse - awesome! Probably a rare sight that would sell if you could make prints. So glad I found this video to watch this morning - thank you.

Thank You Nancy. I hope it brightened your day. We recently took a trip to the mountains of NC and stayed at JuneBug Retro Resort. You might enjoy that video also. Hoping to get back to Cape Lookout soon for another beach camping trip. Cheers.

Hey I appreciated your video and wanted to ask how the bugs were during your trip? Planning to go this weekend and that was my only concern other than the wind blowing 10-12. Thoughts?

@@johndiaddorio3165 During the day we had no issues especially with a blowing wind. Might not even have issues at night with wind blowing. We didn't have a strong wind at night so noseeums were an issue at night. Pack some spray in case.

@@johndiaddorio3165 Happy the video helped some. I made it because I was searching for as much info before our first trip.

We took the shuttle boat out of Harkers Island. We didn't take our vehicle over so did not take a Ferry. Hope this helps.

What time of year did you camp at the OBX? Im planning a solo trip but don’t want to go when its blazing.

How was the wind? Just seems like a lot of annoying wind there, with nothing but your body and tent for it to smash into. I'm planning my trip there but am a bit worried about the wind.

We definitely had to plan the trip according to the wind. The previous trip when we camped on Shackleford was very very windy and the tent was bending down all night. The stay on this video was great. No issues with the wind.

You can watch our video of our trip to Shackleford and you will definitely notice a difference in the wind intensity. If I remember correctly the wind was over 25 on that trip and around 8-10 on the Cape Lookout trip.
