Great tutorial, it made the process quite understandable, thanks. The bonus is painting NMM with metallic nail polish on, that's a nice touch, it gives a kinda side-by-side comparison :D
Thank you, I hope it helps! :) I'll have some NMM content for complex shapes as well, not just swords soon ^^ Someone commented on my last video about the nail polish matching what I was doing, so I figured why not? I can try and do that for each one 😁
@@Roll1ToExplode I love the idea ! I'm eager to see the next NMM video, I'd love to try some on my next army, I only used true metallic paints until now
I'll be trying to do a few for each metal types to cover common shapes that you'd come across. I'm still far from an expert but all of my Dark Angels are non metallic in an effort to help me practice on it thoroughly ^^
@@Roll1ToExplode I just finished painting my Red Corsairs, some trimmings could have been gorgeous in NMM gold, I love Dark Angels, I don't know if fallen can still be played in chaos Astartes, I'd love to have some
I do a fair bit of gold NMM trim for my Dark Angels with the kitbashed pauldrons and such that I give them, so I can try and take care of that one in the near future :) I'm not sure if they have their own sub faction or not right now, but I fully intend on making a CSM renegade fallen collection regardless. Either they'll have rules or I'll find a way to fit them! ^^
Thanks so much! :) I love the TTC range, they're my main paint line, not sponsored or anything though lol. Just watched your video on explaining the move. I was really confused for a sec, I didn't realise you'd moved! Re-subbed :)
Thanks so much! :) If you have anything in particular you'd like to see please let me know and I'll add it to the list ^^ There's lots of Dark Angels related content coming, and it'll all be on their own short videos so that it's more easily searchable for what you want :)
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it! 😁 There was a lot of feedback about it being nice that my nails matched my tutorial in the previous video so I thought I'd just keep up with the theme ^^
Thanks for this! I’ve watched a number of NMM tutorials and this is the first one that made it seem less intimidating instead of more so. 😬 I’m about to paint an NMM blade on a pirate’s cutlass, which has a single edge instead of the double edged blade of your terminator there. Anything different or am I just basically painting the bottom half?
I'm glad it helped and wasn't as scary! :) It's the same concept for single edged blades, if it has a cutting edge and a flat body you can do the same steps as this guide and it should still look fine ^^
@@savagesam666 aw I'm sorry! The two thin coats paints are all convertible to citadel paints if that helps at all? :) They're basically the same colours but the formula is better so they dry smoother, they're nicer to work with, they don't have chalking issues like some GW paints etc
No problem, here's the conversions The GW paints don't apply as smoothly because TTC have a drying retarder in them, but you can still do this :) Doom Death Black = Abbadon Black Wizard Grey = Dawnstone Carcharodon Grey = Administratum Grey Trooper White = Corax White (I'd highly recommend buying trooper white instead, Corax is awful to use) White Star = White Scar

What did you use as a primer? I like that color a lot!
