Same here added light RFP1 17” wheels to mine and a PRL motor mount. This drastically changed how the car drives no more road noise, better acceleration easier on suspension. The stock motor mount gave to much engine flex causing jerky shifts from 1st to 2nd.
My dad just bought a ‘25 Accord Hybrid Touring in October of ‘24. His is not a part of the recall thankfully. And hopefully, no other recalls will happen. So far, the car’s been great and he is loving it. He’s been averaging 45 mpg.
If I were in that position, I'd do the standard break in for 1000 miles or so (varying speed & load as much as possible), before "submitting" to recall service. Initial break in while idling would be horrible for a new engine. Update: Oh, wait. These are yet-to-be-sold vehicles. No way I'm buying these, then.
It’s good that you are fixing them before they are sold to customers. A leak on the high pressure fuel pump would end badly. Anyone remember the Ford Pinto? The car the exploded from butt stuff. They said it was cheaper to pay out lawsuits than it would be to fix it.
It's videos like this (and these great comments too) that make me happy i drive an old 1995 honda del sol with 200k (which still looks/runs like new). Back then, honda built amazing cars to last.

Honda has *ALWAYS cut corners* - I suffered in the past with 2ng gen. Acura MDX that had many cheap Honda parts built into the design that plagued me for years! they still make excellent cars overall especially when you compare their products to the domestic BIG 3 (often problematic) offerings
Is a Honda hybrid fuel pump different than a fuel pump for a non hybrid Honda? I just had my 2018 Honda 1.5L Turbo CRV fuel pump changed under the recall and it took 1 hour.
@@graceham1 yes most are different although if there was in question a possible defect by the manufacturer of those pumps from x date to x date then its possible they can all be recalled in those dates thus affecting various models sometimes all (not in this case)

Last I checked (2024 model year), Sedans (including Si) sold in North America were made in Ontario, Canada, whereas Hatchbacks (excluding Type-R) were made in Indiana, USA. So them having different suppliers is plausible.
Is there a fire risk with the new hybrids? I have seen a video of a brand new CRV burning down. We own 2 ‘22 Insights and I can’t praise them enough. Knock on wood zero problems with them. Thank you again for the videos.
@@Jvcxov9 the only known fire risk could be from the pumps which we are actively testing. The cr-v you saw burning to me sounded like it had a mechanical failure causing a fire from that failure.
Honda: To fix our high-pressure fuel pump issue, we gotta prematurely damage the engine. If I had one of these cars, I'd demand a free extended warranty.
after all the recalls and problems ive had on my 23 accord hybrid ex-l, they have for sure lost me as a customer. I will never buy another honda as long as I live. honda fell off in 2019 and everything before that is pretty much still awesome. Are you familiar with the lemon law? Or is there any buy back program? I want out of this car, i dont feel safe at all esp since it stays in my garage which is right below our bedroom. Im wondering if honda will buy it back without shafting me. Ive had this thing cut off on me in traffic before and need to be put in the shop. I have a few recalls already and now the more time goes on I feel like drivin my wifes 15 year old 200,000 mile toyota more every day. I hate this car so much it hurts
@@randyosburn533 this is a one time thing and In a climate controlled environment. I’d be more concerned in near freezing temps. Although yes you shouldn’t idle your car for long hours on a consistent basis.
Whoa 24 hours? That is crazy. I just picked my 24 Sport up last night. They said they did the sniff test, but I am pretty sure that my car did not run for 24 hours in the shop lol. Is this something new from Honda? Err wait hold on. This if for yet to be sold vehicles only? Is that correct? FYI they said mine was fine.
@@mark8684 i explained it in my previous videos. The pump could leak (very very small chance) potentially causing a fire. All we have to do is test the pump thoroughly with a hydro carbon meter.
Unless it's plug-in, all the energy from hybrid vehicles comes from their GASOLINE ENGINES. Hybrids just recapture the the energy that otherwise get turned into heat from friction turning brake pads into dust. Direct injection issues and high pressure fuel pumps problems are gasoline engine issues, it's just that this model of fuel pump ended up in a hybrid. The biggest problem I had getting used to driving my wife's hybrid was dealing with a joystick and a screen to change the radio station because I was born on knobs and buttons, but that's the same problem with all new cars, gasoline, diesel, electric or hybrid.
Honda is not what it used to be. The old Honda new vehicle test procedure was to drive it for 15 years and then decide of you wanted to drive it for another five.

How long does it take to assemble a brand new Accord at the factory again? 😂. By the way, who’s paying for the gas while doing all this idling??? The customer will notice this.
The last generation of Hondas. These recalls will cost millions. The prices will be pushed to next generation which will be wiped out once the Chinese EVs hit the market. Most if not all the major car companies including Foreign and domestic have fallen off a cliff. when you consider what a stellar reputation many of these companies had with a rather long run of being noted for their reliability, longevity, value and dependability “WHAT HAPPENED”? Now what do we we have, what I would identify as overpriced, poorly engineered, electronically flawed, unsafe, unreliable, sometimes rolling mostly sitting in dealerships either unsold or waiting for flawed parts that never show up, or not available at all. @ yeah these are unsold vehicles. Our only option (not that I agree with it) is the running idle procedure.
IMO it is ridiculous that a manufacturer would design something that would require this kind of diagnostic procedure.

My 2024 CR-V sport L said it was part of the recall and now it’s not showing up when I do the search or on the Honda link app anyone else notice this?

Turn the heat to full blast and lower the windows. That will force the engine to run more often.
