8:07 a Player hit very hard Emi Martinez without any reason.... glad that Emi hit him back at the end of the game... Incredible how dirty and foul does Brentford played against Villa.
Ref was a shambles. On the bright side the midfield trio was on fire 🔥. Damsgaard shaping up very nicely indeed
Whenever a team lose they moan about the referee. Brentford were quite rightly reduced to 10 men due to a disgusting foul on Bailey. Villa deserved to win in the end. When your team is beaten you need to learn to be gracious in defeat and not be bad losers.

A good battling performance from the Bees despite losing a game which we should have won!
As much as I like Ben Mee that was a pretty reckless challenge and, basically, you are asking for trouble if you don't get the ball.
I listened to the game on the Bees Homepage "Audio Live Commentary" and our commentator and Jonathan Douglas, the ex-Bees hardman, called the red card decision absolutely correctly.
There were some debatable decisions including Neal playing for the penalty shortly before Villa's equaliser.
In the eyes of the applicable footballing law he was fouled by ex-Bee Ezri Konsa and the referee should have given a penalty and had we gone two-nil up we probably would have won the match.
At the end of the day it was not to be, but all in all there were some very good and positive performances. Saman, Mads and Ethan to name but three.
Let us hope that we can bag a few points during the last two games of 2023!

Hopefully our injury list problems will have reduced somewhat by then and there is a certain, Ivan Toney, due back on 17th January.

Having looked at the footage again. Maupay definitely out shithouses Martinez and that’s hard to do. The ref was about to deal with Martinez as he was walking towards him. But then 2 Bees players waded in and it all got ugly. Kamara lost his head and was rightfully sent off.
For Franks to say Mee’s tackle wasn’t a sending off was laughable

What is that supposed to mean? All three goals were scored fair and square. It's not Villa's fault that Brentford had a player deservedly sent off for a disgusting tackle. Brentford fans need to accept defeat with class and not be such bad losers. Sore losers always blame the referee. Aston Villa are the better team and they proved it.
