    If you are going to Istanbul and looking for a good Istanbul travel guide, a good video for travel to Turkey, or good travel videos for Istanbul, this Turkey 4K Travel video is for you. In this Istanbul Turkey travel video I give a comprehensive overview of the best places in Istanbul. My Turkey 4K Travel video covers my top 25 favorite places in Istanbul in the most famous parts of the city such as Sultanahmet, Eminönü, Karaköy, Beyoğlu, Galatasaray, Üsküdar, Moda and Kadaköy. Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world. There is so much to see and do in Istanbul. So if you come here, do this in istanbul: Visit the famous Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in Sultanahmet, the fascinating Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar where you can find many attractive souvenirs, the historic Galata Kulesi, or Galata Tower, for the best view in istanbul, Istiklal Caddesi and Taksim Square where Istanbul comes alive at night, the beautiful Süleymaniye Camii and the brand new Çamlıca Camii, the two largest mosques in Turkey, have a Balik Ekmek fish sandwich down at the Golden Horn in Eminönü or take a boat ride on the Bosphorus from Beyoglu to the Asian continent side of Istanbul in with the lively parts of Üsküdar, Moda and Kadaköy. Try Kumpir below the Bosphorus Bridge in Galatasaray or have dinner in Istanbul in one of the many excellent Turkish restaurants in Karakoy Istanbul with a beautiful view of the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus and the sunset in Istanbul. If you still have some energy left, experience Istanbul at night, follow my Istanbul travel vlog and snack some Turkish delight or Turkish ice cream.
    This Istanbul travel video and comprehensive travel documentary is part of my mini series of my visit to Istanbul Turkey where I cover tips on what to do in Istanbul. I hope you will enjoy this Turkey travel vlog and leave me a comment in the comment section. What would be the best Turkey travel video for you and what is your favorite Istanbul Travel guide?

    Thanks for such a wonderful city guide - it brought back memories from a trip to Istanbul about 20 years ago and reminded me why I need to go back soon. It is such a fabulous city with a rich history to explore. One of my best memories is having a cup of apple tea on the almost deserted platform at Marmary station late at night, waching the Orient Express getting ready to leave - magical.

    Thank you for your nice video. Last week I was in Istanbul and ticket to Topkapi Palace was 650 TL to all places. Near Marmaray station (Orient express), Suleymann mosque and spice bazaar. I was in super hotel Petit Port. On Bosphorus was really holiday time. I wish come back and to see Camlica Camii as new and big and Grand Bazaar. Food breakfast was fantastic, also people. Istanbul is for me lovely city.

Love Istanbul so much, an enchanting city full of culture, oriental food, beautiful nature and amazing mosque! I was there but after watching your video I realize that there are still A LOT MORE to explore. I love cat, Janus 😊 There is a cute and famous cat in Hagia Sophia, Gli:) What do you think, how many days should I stay in Istanbul to discover all these places? Thank you Janus for keeping your upload schedule and for all your effort to provide always great videos. Looking forward to the next one:)

    Fantastic video
    Istanbul is definitely one of my favourite cities I have visited. With the exception of the Marmaray Railway Station, I did visit every tourist site on your list including the Bosphorus Cruise which we stopped at Dolmabahce Palace, Rumeli Fortress, then onto the Bosphorus Bridge to the Asian side and went to Camlica Hill and then to Camlica Mosque before we headed back to the European side. Rustem Pasha Mosque is close to the bazaars (and Spice Bazaar) hidden away which is worth a visit. I would also add Sultan Ayup Mosque and Pierre Lotti Cable Car. Tried the fish sandwich and had a proper Turkish breakfast in one of the restaurant close to Galata Bridge. Many of the sites like Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Gulhane Park are easily done in a day then you can go down to the bazaars, visit Rustem Pasha Mosque, go along the Galata Bridge and head to the top of Galata Tower about an hour before sunset. Sulemainye Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Theodesian Wall can be done in on another day

    Another fantastic video - beats the old lonely planet guides "hands down" . I am interested to know which area you stayed during your trip? - I have been to Istanbul several times around 20 years ago but I am planning on taking my family - including two teenage kids. I have previously stayed in sultanahmet due to its proximity to everything touristy (plus views of the bosphorus from the hotel rooftop cafes') but I am also looking to provide the family an authentic experience.
    Also last time I was in Istanbul there was a major issue with the taxis ripping off tourists - has this been cleaned up? at all or is it safer just to use Uber ?
    Thanks again

    • @januslog
      @januslog  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you very much Mark, I really appreciate! I stayed at Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu. It may not be the most authentic experience as these are indeed the more historic and also touristy parts of town but I enjoyed the proximity to all the amazing sites and restaurants. Alternatively you could stay at the Asian side but you’d have to take the ferry boat or metro all the time. I didn’t have major issues with taxis but make sure to use the official (yellow) ones and that they turn on the meter 👍😊

    • @januslog
      @januslog  Рік тому +2

      The wall can be seen and visited almost throughout. In my view, it’s almost too “preserved”. It must have been restored to its original state quite a while ago. Maybe start with the big portals that are now gaps for the major through streets. For pre-Ottoman sights I’d also recommend the hippodrome and cisterns, and of course the Hagia Sofia.
