Sir, thank you so much for your videos. I look up to you for making content like this, and even if it's 5 years back, it's still very useful today, and I'm doing all-nighters of everything I've forgotten in AS because nothing quite made sense to me in year 1, but suddenly now, everything just makes sense. Thank you for that. I think our teacher was SO excited in teaching us the ins and outs of everything and giving us too much information that it kind of didn't have much context or needed relevance 😭, but this is so straight-forward and to the point, and I love that, and it actually makes sense. Our class and our class groupchats have all recommended and shared this channel to each other, and I hope this channel reaches others who need it too. Thank you, so much, Sir. I was having quite the anxiety thinking I just couldn't do chemistry because nothing made sense, but now it's starting to, and I'm relieved:) I will keep trying too!
hi @Allery Chemistry thanks for these videos InshaAllah im gonna watch these videos then do tons of questions followed by a practice paper i haven't revised for chemistry and my exam is in days i pray it goes well ameen
May Allah bless you wherever you go and grant you halal means to be able to treat your loved and dependent ones with respect, womenfolk, the orphans and widows. This is what aqa say. “The sample X is dissolved in a volatile solvent (eg water or methanol) and injected through a fine hypodermic needle to give a fine mist (aerosol). The tip of the needle is attached to the positive terminal of a high-voltage power supply. The particles are ionised by gaining a proton (ie an H* ion which is simply one proton) from the solvent as they leave the needle producing XH* ions (ions with a single positive charge and a mass of M, + 1).”
When filling in the energy level diagram with the arrows to represent the electrons, don’t the arrows have to be single headed because double headed arrows represent 2 electrons and each orbital boxes can only have 2 electrons in them not 4?
Hi, I've been doing some past papers and on one of the questions it asks how the ions are detected, are they detected when they gain an electron at the plate or lose one?
They are detected when the ions gain an electron from the negaticely charged electric plate and cause a flow of current which is proportional to the abundance hence they can be detected
At 18:50 I thought for the electronic configuration bit, it should be 1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^6? Because you only put the 3d orbital after the 3p orbital if it's fully filled up? Am I wrong?
why is it that when the ions accelerate towards the plate, they say its so that they all have the same kinetic energy but then they arrive at different times.
i feel like an egg revising this before my a level assessments
how did it go
How did it go
3 years later doing exactly the same

This is the most comprehensible and well put together video I've ever seen for this topic thank you so much

I have exams in a couple of days and im on top of all revision thanks to your videos. You explain everything so well. Thank you!

THANK U SIR..U R REVISION VIDEO WHICH COVERS EVERYTHING IS REALLLLY BENEFICIAL DURING EMERGENCY DURING EXAMS..THANK YOU FOR U R EFFORTS!
This playlist is a life saver, I have exams in 2 days. Thank you so much for all your hard work !
No problem, pleased it is helping you!
how did you do???
4 years later, I also have an exam in 2 days lo
I also have an exam 2 days later😂😂
ive ruined it now but i have an exam in 10 minutes
You are contributing so much for our society @Allery Chemistry, keep it up! (You're saving my exams by the way!!!)
You're welcome 😊 Hope the revision is going well

I really like how you make it seem really interesting. It makes the information much easier to remember!
I’m just going to leave this comment here so I get reminded two years later when I’m studying gynecology✨
revising all the topics for as paper 1, one day before the exam, thank you for all the videos i managed to cover nearly all the topics
I’ve got 5 months till my alevels and have only started to take my revision seriously
, your videos have been super helpful thank you so much!
You're welcome 😊
Best Chemistry teacher out there!!!
YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH I ACTUALLY LOVE YOU
hi there, i read else where that the electrospray ionisation causes the gain of a proton, not the gain of an electron, so im just a bit confused
This is what aqa say. “The sample X is dissolved in a volatile solvent (eg water or methanol) and injected through a fine hypodermic needle to give a fine mist (aerosol). If you could work through AQA spec like this before the exams that would be A M A Z I N G!
All of AS will be uploaded before then with a bit of luck! 🙂
Allery Chemistry I'll take anything haha!
Thanks again as always!!!
No problem.
I agree really good!
Could this be used for OCR A, as i notice many things are similar or will there be seperate ones?
Will you have time to upload the revision for AQA year 2? So useful! Thank you very much!
You know for the electron configuration example of iron that you did , it is wrong from the end because 4s comes before 3d
Hey your student here, I was wondering if u could do the same for chemistry edexcel I would be so grateful for that
Yes. Edexcel will be uploaded soon too.
These videos are amazing, will you be uploading year 2?
When filling in the energy level diagram with the arrows to represent the electrons, don’t the arrows have to be single headed because double headed arrows represent 2 electrons and each orbital boxes can only have 2 electrons in them not 4?
Thank you so much , It was informative and very well arranged so that easy to understand.
i am forever grateful for this
No problem 😊
Hi, isn’t the TOF example you used electron impact and not electro spray ionisation?
14:56 correction this should be M+ and not M+1 as molecular ions peak - allery chem
He said this in the description

i think you're right
Hii is this specification still valid for 2024 exams?
Yeh, this current spec has been going since 2015 - coming up to its 10th birthday soon.

I hate life and i jsye chemistru i wannt to nd my self i hate school i haye alevels alecels make me depressed

Thank you very much, this is really helping me to understand the course better
Glad it was helpful!
@@AlleryChemistry German sausage.
is this the new spec?
Yes it is! :-)
thank you so much your videos are very helpful. Will you be doing revision like this for A2 chemistry aqa as well?
No problem! I haven't made any A2 slides yet unfortunately.
Are you planning to? These are great btw!
Yes I will be however not until next year as I only do this part time
Fair enough, these are brilliant revision resources and makes the task much easier! Thank you!
You're welcome!
Can you move arrange the playlist so that it is in order please.
Will look into it!
These vieos are so useful! Thank you so much :)
for the electron configuration for Fe does the 4s2 have to be after 3d6??? Or does the matter of those two not matter?
lol I also noticed that, I think he is wrong
No, it's an exception since the 4s level fills up before the 3d (which requires more energy). So, he's right
does this cover the whole of atomic structure syllabus?
is the History of the Atom there in the 2020-2021 spec?
yes it always was
does this playlist include both paper 1 and 2 topics?
do we not need to know about the electron gun way of ionisation?
we do
Please would you be able to do foundation tier topics?
will you do this for a2?
Yes however not until next year as I only do this part time.
12/09/2024 first week of year 12 It’s good to start studying early
shut up💯💯🔥
😅😮
Excuse me will this be on GCSE's or is it for A levels?
a level
lol 4 years late
can you a video like this for organic AS please
Uploaded tonight!
is this gcse or a-level please? thankyou!
It is for the current A Level specification 👍
Please can you make them into a flash card is possible
these are GOLD
Hi, will you be making revision videos for the aqa year 2 content as well? Thanks :)
why is it that when the ions accelerate towards the plate, they say its so that they all have the same kinetic energy but then they arrive at different times.
because they have different masses
Is this straight from the spec too
Is this for the current spec?
OCR?
Some Uploaded tomorrow.
thank you
You're welcome
Is this for AS exams?
this video was so helpful thank you so much I finally understand this topic :)
thank you thank you thank you
