This is my fifth time through and I’ve never gotten tired of it. The quality of this radio program is unsurpassed, in my opinion.
Just finished all of them. Thank you. It brings back my childhood.
@@otrarchive I've listened to each episode many times. That adds up to the last several years. Listen before I go to bed every night...Winds my mind down and relaxes me! Enjoy! Kurt in Santa Rosa, Ca.
Yes, this was the final episode of the radio series, as broadcast on June 18, 1961.
Love gunsmoke radio. William is great for radio. Arness was great on tv. But William had the voice n style.
Thanks for all of them!
Greed and injustice abound since beginning of time.
Marshall Dillon - a lawman who exercises common sense in enforcing the law. 8 Sep 2024
Little sad the final episode is just a re run episode. Wish it was a special goodbye episode or something
It's a rerun? May I then ask, which episode in the series is the last one in production?
This is the *second* version of the July 15, 1956 episode- not a "re-run". In the first, Will Wright was the "Judge"; in this edition, John Dehner appeared as the "Judge".
Season 9, (42) - "Letter of the Law", written by John Meston, broadcast June 18, 1961! Note the PSA at 21:27 to get your Polio shot. Replace the word "Polio" with "Covid" and get your shot now!
An aunt of mine was already the mother of four when she was stricken with polio in the late 1950s; it rendered one of her arms useless. My aunt otherwise recovered and bore two more children.
I love Gunsmoke, both the radio shows and the b/w TV shows. Thanks for posting these.
