I was hoping to be the 3rd Brewmaster Monk to ever tank in the history of WoW, but now I am having doubts about the spec.

I think all the monks are in the same guild because in my guild we have 2 brewmasters, 4 mistweavers and 3 windwalkers this tier.
We recently did a 13 AA with a MW 3 WW and a BM. Was good fun
i really wish they would look at more than just damage when buffing and nerfing. It's their only mindset in changes. Class is underperforming, buff damage. maybe its underperforming because it needs a buff to its defensives.....

Can we just get Bliz to hire an ex pro arena player to be responsible for balancing PvP, because just adjusting the damage knobs is not enough. So many specs need a redesign
Enhancement shaman needs a more consistent pressure build with Windfury + spirit wolves being the core of it. Holy paladin needs a bit of a redesign but you could solve about 60% of their problems by just simply removing mana cost from WOG. Hunters don’t need more damage they need more mechanical rewards for outplaying opponents. These are but a few chronic issues in the PvP balancing
I think defensives for casters across the board 2bh. It’s just cancer getting melee trains.

Ven hit the nail on the head with Unholy and DK in general, its damage was acceptable. The biggest issue DK has is its survivability, it just flops to pretty much every class in the game and lacks the mobility of the meta or even half meta melee to escape a bad situation.
Every xpack DK goes back and forth between either feeling unkillable and always running at you or making their healer wanna /afk with the amount of damage they take without being able to mitigate or get away from it.
As a devastation I have never understood the angle that dks are squishy, I don't even bother having them as a kill target, my main damaging spell immune to them with AMS
As a DK I'd rather have had survivability focused on more than damage

@@jeffbarbary5616 Actually this is kinda right. Lack of utility and def cds are the problem, not the damage (same in PVE). But instead of thinking and reworking Blizz just always add some damage here and there, so the problems remains the same for the class.

The confusion on the buffs/nerfs for rogue was because of the word “to” vs. “by” for anyone still confused.
“Reduced by” means a lower number is a buff as it is being reduced by a smaller amount, while “reduced to” means it’s a nerf as it is being reduced to a smaller value.

The nerf to Garrote wasn't necessary, i mean sure it was top of the dmg charts out of all ur spells, but it should be cause ur trying to keep them silenced as long as possible, But it didn't need to be nerfed, Im thinking Sin is taking a huge hit from this nerf.

Band aid tuning as always. Tuning classes through damage is so silly. The design is full of flaws in so many specs. Also no DH nerf shows their incompetence.
Improved Garrote is a nerf. It says reduced to* 20% from 30%. If it would have said reduced by* 20% from 30% then it would be a buff

The wording confuses people, it’s just double negatives. It’s a 10% buff, they just reduced the amount from 30%to 20%.
Just to clear it up for everyone compare these two sentences. Improved Garrote damage bonus reduced by 30% in PvP Combat. Improved Garrote damage bonus reduced by 20% in PvP Combat. To and by are interchangeable depending on scenario, to means its moving and by just means its reduced by this amount. Its a 10% buff by just fucking reading it and thinking. Jesus. They use by when implementing a new change. They use to to signify the number is moving to a different one. Not that hard.

holy paladins need their mana regen to come back to what it was in season 2 after rework. i literally dont want a single paly healer on my team be it RBG or 2s,3s. they lose all mana fights and no way to pull of a win in a competitive environment, unless you rocking a "set up" comp for 1 shot.
I top in Rbg's above monk all the time, albeit I'm the only paladin that isn't garbage I've seen in 2 season sand I've only seen like 5. Problem is a bad Mw can double a bad Hpally. Reverting HS mana cost or taking mana req from WoG would be nice
@@Earthfurry717 it is harder to play paly than a monk that is correct. in RBG still doable, you can rotate healers for drinking and etc. in arena though, paladins run out of mana before anybody else and almost never a chance to drink. just the nature of the bracket.

I find the cycle ww goes through where people think its OP early in the season and then completely forget about it once everybody has gear really funny.
Like rsk getting a big focus for doing 400k in the tournament vs full geared 1.6 mil hp pools meanwhile I've been seeing 400k frost bombs and feral bites on live in mostly greens vs 1.3 to 1.4m hp pools and no one bats an eye.
Cuz those abilities take alot of setup.

2: The whole point is a ton of specs are able to put out a 400k hit... ya'll don't seem to realize that 400k is not as large of a number as you think it is this season. Numbers are going up substantially, a 400k vs a 1.6m hp pool is only 25% of their health pool. Its the equivalent of doing a 250k hit last season vs a 1 mil hp pool. Lots of specs are capable of putting out that large of a number or the equivalent via multi hits.
This is why blizzard has squishes, because once numbers get big enough they start to lose all meaning to people.
Fury warriors are out the gate. Getting 2 shot by then in solos

It is very stupidly written but the Improved Garrote change is a nerf: the bonus to Garrote damage from talenting into Improved Garrote used to be 30% in PvP (down from 50% in PvE), now the bonus damage is only 20%. That is a nerf.

450k Kingsbanes were kinda sill, 5 of the top 10 in 3s mid last season were rogues and they had THREE good specs. Sure it's unfortunate that all 3 got nerfed since then but Sin still seems viable and I'm sure all 3 will still see play.

They're just harder to play, instead of hitting a wall you can used while stunned, you have to Pre Bearform stuns and go into a form that you can't do damage in, to tank damage and heal. It's just a weird and harder playstyle. Doesn't need a buff.

Only coward classess like rogues and hunters i can add all pet classess too (hiding behind your pets is not a fight like man, its more like cowardice play. I am not Ok with that Mage and Huters to work with super range and kill everything. At least remove Stealth from Mage and Hunter.
If Evoker had 40 yard range they would be unstopable. It's one of those classes that are just hard to balance when you have 1 button doing 200k/ticking damage and doing 50% of their overall. It's like ret.

@@Earthfurry717 I somewhat agree. But what good does this high damage do since 95% of the time I'm a primary target? I am constantly under CC. Especially meele clases. A warrior jumps at you and stuns you. On top of that, there's always some rogue that won't let you do damage.

disc might be fine for the top 1% but as someone who sits around rival/duelist most of the time I feel that it is kind of weak, the changes seem good for pressure but unless there are comms for landing cc, its semi impossible to get a fear onto a Monk/Druid/Holy priest if you find yourself working alone.

Demon hunter 60 million dmg. 140k dps. Outlaw rogue 20 million dmg. 60k dps. NERF ROGUE! Blizzard is a joke. i dont even like outlaw rogues but Blizzard is CLEARLY riding some Demon Hunter peepee.
Hunters -all 3 classes need a rework to put them in line with all the other specs. Damage is not a good enough change to balance for them. They do too much damage and have a crazy defensive as turtle. But no survivability besides that cool down, worst kick in the game, and a 3min CD on a middle of the pack wall. Also, 10% buff to improved garrote. Was a 30% decrease, is now a 20% decrease.
So lets simplify it for those who think garrote got nerfed again. Garote is doing 100 dmg. We nerf it 30% so dmg is 70.now we change that nerf from 30% to 20% so dmg now is 80. 30% - 20% is 10%(buff) 80dmg>70dmg
No changes for sub rogue? Geez. That's one spec that actually does need a dmg buff

What are you talking about. With the fix to our set bonus we are hitting by far harder
resto shaman healing potency is @$$, you literally have to build all out mastery. similar to assa rogues/ferals back in season 2. like tier for resto shaman was bad in S3 and is bad now in S4. you are way better off, not getting tier and just craft verc/mastery for every slow you possibly can. this is also one of the reasons why resto shaman, even though strong, not really popular. 2nd would be the fact that they are mad bloated. like stone skin totem literally needs to be built into something else. like like bunch of other abilities. i have 34 binds for resto shaman, i feel like piano player, and comparing it to let's say holy priest with 25 and fury warrior with 20. yeah it's a significant difference. and problem is, for shaman to be good, you can not optimize talents for less bloat.
just an example from my casual @$$. in season 3 i couldnt break 1500 on resto shaman, like no bracket, no solo shuffle. until i decided to min max and run tests and had enough sparks to craft replacement gear. i completely ditched set and got mastery/verc everywhere i could. all of a sudden i went 1900 in 2s and 1800 in SS.

Another expac where survival is completely ignored. Doesn’t help that our S3 set is meant to be kept as a permanent set for M+, as even our S4 top I’ll 4 set isn’t nearly as good, but no I’m glad they keep BM hunters hitting 3 abilities and topping dps charts with the beasts cleave, kill cleave and pet melee dmg as their top 6 damaging abilites
I think Survival is pretty good, It's just not popular, I think it's being slept on tbh.
When they nerf plate armor, ret paladins got buffs to the toolkit and that compensate the 30% armor nerf and they are fine ,while dk was paper in season 3 + the dmg was shit and your only hope was the second dps in the lobby wasnt monkey and dont screw things so you somehow win ! Now omg omg they are buffing them the end of the world is coming , no ruki they are doing the same thing that went with ret paladins ! But when frost mage is living god you cant even touch him with so many roots slows and shits and in the same time 1shoting you with ray of frost, frost bomb or or jucy glacial is ok right ? Alright from an affy main, Oblivion buff does nothing because 99% of the time you won't be able to get it off because you need all dots on target + Dread touch buff while having 2 shards just to channel it. Oh and do all that before kicks are back up. Agony nerf is actually pretty big because its our best dot. Drain soul buff is whatever. The only good buff we got was the 5% soul rot. Shadow bolt build isn't good because its a decently long cast if you don't have the proc and most affys fake kicks with drain soul, which you don't have if you play shadow bolt. I agree with Supatease on buffing drain soul execute and leaving our dot dmg the same. Trying to convert affy into a ST budget frost mage slowly over time is just dumb.
ENhance Shamans DID NOT need a heal buff.. they healed enough as it was.. them dudes are hard af to kill if any sort of a good player. lol MM didn't need a dmg buff either but i'll take it, we needed survivability. not being able to drop Dots/bleeds with feign death really fucked our survivability so hard, like so hard. And don't even get me on the ability to kite DH/War, or the lack of. you might as well just sit there and lube up before the match starts, lol.
Guys, these are very small nerfs for most people. You're not "Unviable" now. My spec got a 15% buff to an ability that is one of my top heals and I'm still going to be beaten out by every healer. The only real changes here are that you're going to see more Hunters and less Rogues and Rsham is still king.

The need to speed the games up, game feels like a pve encounter. Me as a healer I don't usually lose because of not using my abilities correctly, but if I can get a drink off

I normally play enhance and recently started playing elemental and I noticed that elemental feels more tanky cuz of the shield. So why not have your shield in the off hand to do dmg kind of like a prot pally or be able to use a two handed pole arm and do big damage all the while using the troll dance as your movement guide with a duel buffed weapon. It would look like a fire dance or whatever from South American tribe😮

You’re wrong on affliction Ven. No aff lock runs oblivion, it’s a crappy substitute for deathbolt. Aff also more or less requires the three pvp talents it runs (jinx, rot n decay, multi UA) just to feel viable in 3s / shuffle especially with it being a single school caster (only one in game I think).
So no, this is a nerf, albeit a small one. Aff needs an overhaul.
Yeah, the only real buff was Drain Soul but getting a 15% buff on a spell that does 5% of your overall damage doesn't make up for a 15% nerf to a spell that does 25% of your damage. Idk how people see this as a win for Aff.

Holy Paladin has been garbage for awhile, besides this buff, for the last 2 seasons we've been getting nerfs to our mana left and right via Daybreak, Blessing of Winter, Holy Shock ANd Base Mana Regen. Welcome to the club.

I do think theyre a bit scared or out of touch with as an example nerfing DH. Its the final patch, and a spec with only 1 dps spec. Meaning if its overnerfed its kill rest of xpac. Same idea goes for many other specs, i think theyre a bit hestiant to nerf alot of specs that need it.

Assa "might" not be op in arena in your opinion, but they are op as f in rbgs. Arms tier set is leaps worst than s3 in pvp. That said, rogues utility kit is so impressive that they will always have a spot in competitive pvp.

Affli got nerfed overall, agony dmg is much more important than a tiny buff to drain soul and soul rot neither of which do much dmg, and you have no space for Oblivion so that's irrelevant, and Venruki himself put both Arcane and Frost above literally every lock spec in his tier list
They always look after warlocks in PvP crept in SLS... every other expansion they have being in top 3 dps PvP spec's....
