A truly excellent band. Some of the most intelligent music and lyrics that I have come across in recent years.
I wish he would have talked about the meaning of Suffragette Suffragette. The lyrics are so intriguing.

Two for Nero was the first EE song I listened to - met them through Spotify on the Wild Beasts Station! I love their whole discography but Man Alive is simply a jewel. I can't ever get tired of it, everything sounds great, the lyrics are amazing, production on point. You can almost feel how connected the band is and it's magical to hear everything working together so smoothly.
Oh, and Tin has to be my favourite EE song ever. It's simply perfect. Actually, it's my favourite song, together with Weird Fishes by Radiohead. Both bands are a huge inspiration to me, as a musician ❤ srsly, thank you very much Everything Everything.

Gorgeous album from start to finish. Intelligent, thought provoking, intense, grandiose and so much more. Progressive Pop/Rock with a futuristic flavor

So I remember sitting in a flat in London, playing on my little DS humming all these songs, not really knowing that songs even HAD meanings but loving the music and its sound whenever they were played in the car or room. And there is me now, appreciating the meanings so much and even crying at times (Final Form) when I listen to these masterpieces and really seeing the emotion and finally being cool with listening to the whole entirety of Get To Heaven; I always liked Cough Cough a lot but something about it always bothered me a bit and I think it was the lyrics because I thought it was saying something along the lines of this "bad" being fine but now I like it even more knowing the reality.
This is really interesting to watch. And Man Alive is one of those albums you just never get tired of. Hope they do this for Arc too...
I remember the very first time I ever heard this band. The Very first song that literally hooked me the first time I ever heard it, and buy hooked I mean on the entire band without hearing another song, was Kemosabe off your “arc” album. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The video blew my mind in ways that most people wouldn’t ever think. Because literally we are walking upside down from the minute we are born and I thought to myself, either this gentleman knows what’s going on or he’s gotten extremely fortunate and doesn’t know it. Lyrically it is spot on. Either you know the meaning of “life” or I am a monkey‘s uncle. I found many of your other songs extremely esoterically prophetic as well. Name a song and I will tell you what it means. You know what you’re talking about it’s too bad only 1% of the whole world population could understand it or appreciate it. Just behind John Mayer, everything everything has become my favorite musical artist. Well done Gents!! Bravo. PS-if it were ever possible I would love to possibly talk with all of you. I know that sounds lofty, but other dreams have come true and it never hurts to ask. Cheers mates!

If I'm not mistaken, they saw a Metallica documentary wherein James Hetfield or someone mandated that they all wear scrubs for the duration of the recording/ writing process while in the studio. He described it as "digging deep": possibly an extension of the metaphor of "putting your heart in the song" or whatever. Very cool guys (them and EE).
These guys are the next Radiohead and no one seems to realise.
