The Labrador Retriever is a great family dog. They can also be a fantastic first dog.
Loyal, friendly, with high energy and extremely sociable.
They are easy to train, food orientated and very active.
The Lab has a short coat yet still sheds a substantial amount.
Because they are food oriented, they are prone to obesity and diabetes.
There are two main types, working labs and show labs. With the difference being that working labs will require a much higher activity level than show labs.
The working lab is smaller and leaner, whilst the show lab is stockier.
Overall, the Labrador Retriever is the perfect furry friend for the next 10-15 years!
