I was raised in a church of Christ for 16 years, and this is what they preach: baptists are not Christians because they don’t do baptisms, you have to hear, believe, confess, repent and be baptized for salvation, if you keep sinning you can’t come to church anymore and no musical instruments in church or your not a true Christian Church. my mother left church after preacher held up a bible and said “we aren’t going to use it anymore.” My dad was kicked out of the church for a particular sin that he couldn’t stop. Yep, I lived in fear I wasn’t saved for years, but they wouldn’t baptize me because they didn’t think I was old enough or ready. They finally baptized me when I was 13.
I believe on the death and resurrection of Jesus for my salvation, bit I heard one say that the thief on the cross was a different dispensation as concerning water baptism for salvation, that's why the thief didn't get baptized.

pastor could you help to understand please, I got such a argument concerning the death of Jesus Christ. Some people are saying JESUS died on Wednesday and he must risen on Saturday not on sunday. pastor how can I understand and found right answer for such arguments.

Amen brother God bless. 1Cor 1 has been very useful to me in disproving water baptism as a prerequisite to gain salvation. I believe that God absolutely showed in scriptures by the thief on the cross receiving salvation with only confession and belief as you said matches Romans 10:9 is the ultimate proof salvation is from God, by God. Trouble is people are to proud to admit they had it wrong, or they arrogantly cling to tradition or they are forever learning but never coming to the truth for lack of humility.
