@RRS1980PL Coś w tym jest. Dzięki za przytomną i dowcipną uwagę! Rzeczywiście, sądząc choćby po tytułach piosenek, żyło się dość wesoło. Do Pańskiej listy dałbym jeszcze np. "Czy pani Marta jest grzechu warta", "Tej nocy znów mnie będziesz bił, aż będę twoją", "Nie bój się mamy, bo mama też nie była święta" czy "Pamiętam twoje oczy dzikie z rozkoszy nieprzytomne". To pierwsze z brzegu, jakie przychodzą mi do głowy. A byłoby tego dziesiątki razy więcej :-)
@barbcard There is a romantic story about her. In 1920s she was performing in the Polish and then Italian and German silent movies. It is said that in Rome the Italian throne successor fell madly in love with her. The fact is she returned to Poland enormously rich and the rumors circulated, she was paid by the Savoy family to get off and never show up in Italy again. She kept her word as long as the Royal family was reigning. When monarchy collapsed she went to Rome where she died in 1960s.
@genia106 Genia, these dope-hits can really drive one crazy! Just see first few: some time ago I uploaded tango "Nicotine" and English waltz "Opjum", now we have tango "Morphine" and I also have in stock another English waltz "Kokaina": Dawniej ty, a dzisiaj kokaina/ kocham ją, bo ciebie przypomina... meaning in English: Then it was you and today it's cocaine/ I love it for it resembles you so much)...
Hello Grzegorz - frame .33 - Vera Bobrowska looks stunning and from researching her tragic life story - she was - indeed - a powerful and destructive narcotic for Wlast/Gold - talented and outstanding duo. This magnificent Tango has that Spirit of Love/Obssession they both felt for her. At any rate - they wrote tons of gorgeous Tangos like this one - for her. Don't forget to click on my story on my chanel page - it has a spirit of this totally fabulous Tango. Thanks a million!
@dzheger Hello D., the 0:40 is another photo of Vera Bobrowska. She was famoust first, of her beauty and melancholic sex-appeal, and second - that little madoline (or a banjo?) she's holding in her hands. It was her favouritre accomaniment in her solo performances in Morskie Oko, e.g. her greatest hit "Where's Your Heart" was sung by her to a delicate piano and her playing on that micro-mandoline.
Helena Makowska is absolutely sultry, more seductive than a swarm of opium poppies. Ah, Morfina, more alluring than kokaina...not that I would know,of course.
J'adore votre travail 240252, comme vous, j'aime beaucoup ces musiques du passé !

The girls need some Time at the detox clinic!
Who's singing? Sounds like Aston!
This is Janusz Popławski, he sings for Columbia label, and in late 30's for Odeon :)
