Yeah, especially with the haters mocking his every woe..... all drivers make a mistake at some point, especially the last race in Laguna Secas showed this. I love Grosjean as well, he will do amazing things this year, chin up!@@legolorian3271
Thanks indycar, like the 30 minutes videos. Watch full race yesterday, Penske/Newgarden, show. Grossjohn makes way to many mistakes, sought it out romain or this time next year you'll be back in France, picking grapes.
With Newgarden being a master of ovals and now winning on a street course at the beginning of the schedule could spell trouble for all the other teams. His work in the gym seems to be paying off huge dividends for his driving.
Thanks for the highlights by NTT Indycar and Toutube.NBC should have free broadcasts with commercials and pay per view coverage with uninterrupted viewing that has better camera work worth the money. Why does Europe have better broadcasting ?
It's seriously so annoying. Just talk about the series instead of having a weird complex about it and comparing it to F1. I see it everywhere. Indy, WEC, Rallying, etc.
@@elysianpositron661 It's actually so frustrating. Like it's ok if you prefer IndyCar or another series to F1, it doesn't need to live rent free in your head
It's like trying to discuss a video about alligators only to have half of the comment section discussing how much bigger and more aggressive salt water crocs are. LOL
Ok race. The green (red) tires were wayyyyy too hard. Hope the rest of the season has higher wear on them. Also this race would be better at 90 or 110 laps. 100 means fuel saving all race and 2 stops.
Is there a Dirty Air issue in IndyCar as well nascar? I'm curious because it's too overwhelming to win in first place. Or are Penske and Newgarden good at it?
Indycar dramatically reduced downforce going into the 2018 season, so overall the series is well-balanced on that front at the moment. This track is incredibly difficult to pass though, and it wasn't helped by the lack of tire falloff this year.
because it's an American sport, do we hear much about NHL? NFL? no. i still watch Indy car of the Sky F1 channel..the reason F1 is so prominent in the UK is nearly all the teams are based here, plus with the British teams and drivers. not hard to understand why
I think you need more British Indy drivers then. Indycar has been big in Sweden ever since Ericsson and Rosenqvist moved there in 2019, and Ericsson got huge when he won the Indy 500
Racing was a helluva lot more exciting in the 60s and 70s as far as I am concerned and the run what ya brung days said bye-bye along time ago & I'm tired of the cookie cutter cars.
@@matthanna7162 yeah it seems like a lot of die hard IndyCar fans are really defensive about it. @@Apexsuxss usually i'd agree with you as indycar has great racing, but this was a bad opening race, fuel save and a car train, Newgarden led for 92 laps out of 100, P2P was pointless again due to no-one using it for the 2 stop strategy, i just hope we can have a great race next time
The Dallara chassis is good, the design is great, Chevrolet and Honda engine is ok, average speed still fk fast…Mayb Indycar will update chassis in 2 season later
Camera work didn't help. Wherever was a battle, they just focused on a car that was all alone, or they switched to an overview of the city...... pathetic.
Half an hour of "highlights" oh do behave, unless you are including the adverts and the wedding pictures you ain't going to fill half an hour, this was the worst race I've seen and I've been watching since 1993!
Thanks to the Indycar broadcaster and everyone involved.
I love indycar. one of the best racing series out there
This wasn't one of the more exciting races though.
Newgarden sure had some great restarts in this race 😂😂
I wonder what could’ve happened 🤔😂😂
Great way to start the season!
Also bring INDY back to COTA
Not happening unless they boot Texas off the schedule
Bring Indy back to Cleveland too
@@TheMrtgamerThey should, it sucks
@@TheMrtgamer Texas is off the schedule this year because of the Olympics, and with the crowd sizes the last few years, it might not come back period.
I love indycar racing 🏁 🏎 🏎
Thank you Indycar for being so great on UA-cam! Now get a video game!!!
You can drive older indycars in that driving Sim that all the racecar drivers use. I forget the name but the basic program is free?
Thank you for posting this race video! 🙏🦂🥂
watched live but excited the season started and just wanted to watch the highlights
20:07 No offense but i'm starting to think that Grosjean will never win a race in this series. He made too many mistakes
Life is tough being a grosjean fan
The happiness I had as a Grosjean fan after qualifying only to see the shocking pitstops from Juncos + the mistake from Grosjean...
Pain.
It will come!!! I'm sure!!! But in this car, it's more difficult. We need to wait for another street track I think....

You guys are one of the best youtube channels when it comes to racing and fan service. 👏👏
The best racing on the planet. 2024 is go.👍😎 My only criticism of Indycar is the season is too short.
Happy new racing season 2024 in Indycars by a tifoso and Formula 1 fan (since 1997, please) 😁😁😁😁😁😁

i don’t know if it’s been mentioned but pato o ward is now the official winner after josef newgarden was disqualified
The NTT IndyCar Series is the best in the world better than F1
Definitely, love the Indycars and Supercars, good racing, not predictable racing.
Sorry but MotoGP is even better than IndyCar.
Sorry, but MotoGP clears.
If this was an international championship I would watch it but, it’s only in North America. Which makes it difficult for Europeans to watch
As a noob, what's the difference between Indy and F1?

dirty air exists in all motorsports
Technically, you can't win in second place or lower

Bloody Palou. Can't make it out of Round 1 Quali and he's getting 6th place. Cue the Breaking Bad "he can't keep getting away with this!" meme.
Way to go Josef!
Great race! Grosjean continues to cement his reputation!
Sadly, IndyCar is totally ignored by the UK racing media who seemed to ne fixated on boring and predictable old F1...
its mostly cuz , indycar stays around america only .Unlike f1 which is more open to most regions

Sky F1 shows the Indycar races so naturally it's growing with F1 fans and everyone is starting to realise how exciting the racing is!

Not the greatest race, but Indycar is a thousand times more entertaining than F1! & the drivers are so much more likeable.
Why does it always have to be about F1? It's ok if you like IndyCar better that should stand on it's own.
@marcellakilgarriff I think it's because Indycar is the poorer relation, so I have an inferiority complex to F1.

Are all of the no 51 pit crew ok after the fire?! It showed the flames going out on the car but you could see a couple of the crew on fire!!
They're fine. Since they're using a version of ethanol instead of gasoline, water dilutes and kills the fire in the drop of a hat.
5:55 Cheating? 20:24
Are the cars hybrids this year?
Not yet, the current plan is to introduce that after the Indy 500.
@@UNHchabo Nice! I expect that with the electric motor, they’ll be able to use it to start the car after a stall. And also use it to reverse.

are these cars v6?
Yes, 2.2L twin-turbo V6.
