@@yeagerist4979 that is also giving up your life for the purpose of something greater good. However I think Buddhist especially Hinayana philosophy would still disagree as 'love' or any sort of inspiration is actually a way to bind you to the world and a hindrance to the path of liberation.

The ultimate act one would say, the greatest gift you can give, another chance at life. I wonder what the rabbi was think when he did that? Did it torment the man who had accepted the rabbis offer? Idk I think any1 in his shoes would probably do the same but later would feel guilt. Did he diverge from the divine plan? Many questions arise
