Witness the power, dedication, and skill of Olympic athletes as they compete for their chance to shine on the world stage.
Break. Climb. Skate. Ride. The Olympic Qualifier Series is the ultimate stage for Paris. The two-part festival-style series will make its first stop in Shanghai on 16-19 May. The final leap for athletes to secure a spot in an Olympic Games. The results here will help determine which athletes qualify for Paris 2024 in breaking, BMX freestyle, skateboarding, and sport climbing. The Shanghai event will be a celebration of sport and culture, with music, fashion and art combining with the sporting competition to create a festival experience. It's a chance for fans and athletes alike to go watch and try different sports, experience epic moments together and meet a lot new people.
Athletes in BMX freestyle, sport climbing, and breaking will compete for a maximum of 50 points at each of the events in Shanghai and Budapest, making a maximum possible total of 100 points per athlete. Points from both stops will be compiled into a ranking for each of the sports, that will determine which athletes earn quota places for Paris 2024.
For skateboarding, the points system is divided into three parts: results from prior competitions and the results from the Shanghai and Budapest Olympic Qualifier Series events respectively. One-third of the points are allocated from past competitions, while the remaining two-thirds will be up for grabs in Shanghai and Budapest. The combined points from all competitions will give the final ranking. - Спорт

i think each of these guys should get the opportunity to showcase their talents before they drop in. The juggler had an advantage which was reflected in his score.

Sad to say. I've only heard of one name in the group that I know of. I follow skateboarding regularly and I'm surprised I've never heard more of these guys.

If the commentators tell me how much they would accept to say nothing during this contest I’d match it with some. British accents are awful and to call out every trick as they believe it to be Is brutal. Always fly Boeing guys….
One problem is one of the commentators is a former olympic skier who has no background in skateboarding. The other perhaps has the accent that you find "brutal". Just so you know we often find American accents to be way over the top, but it does add to the atmosphere I must admit. Though there's one guy who commentates on Xgames skating, Gary I think, who is the most unprofessional commentator I've ever heard in my life.
@@formulaic78 skateboarding is supposed to be unprofessional and skateboarding is an american creation it should be americans announcing it. how would YOU feel if you had americans announcing futball?
@@fademusic1980 wow. That's quite the pronouncement. Sports should only be commentated on by people hailing from the country of origin. People all over the world will be so pleased when a British guy turns up to commentate on their national soccer teams. As baseball came from rounders I wonder if British people should be mandated to comment on the "world" series too?
@@formulaic78 we commentate the best on it out of all yall, you could at least have actual skateboarders commentating. the olympics already catches enough flak for having the entire skateboarding portion be run by world skate which are a bunch of ROLLERBLADERS!!!! They could add some authenticity by having the people announcing it be from where the thing came from. Should sound like xgames not "beans and toast innit? care for a crumpet"
@@fademusic1980 I agree with that as I said in my first comment. The former skier really has no idea what's going on. But the British guy sounds like he knows full well, even if you can't understand him:)
