People say that Bioshock 2 is the black sheep of the family. That the creators of the original series choose to ignore it because it wasn't their baby. I, however, feel like maybe the relationship between Booker and Elizabeth was at least somewhat inspired from Delta and Eleanor. A badass, gunslinging unstoppable force and a walking crime against nature that has been imprisoned all her life work together they dismantle the oppressive force that has wronged them in many ways, and no matter what, the unstoppable gunslinger dies in front of his daughter to ensure her future and the future of others who were wronged. God dang, Bioshock has the best endings and plot twists. The first two endings were so sweet (if you saved the sisters that is) and then there is Infinite, killing everyone we know and love, brutally. This was a great ending, but geez. I forgot how awful Atlas was. Could there be a universe where Atlas didn't kill Elizabeth? A place where Booker and Elizabeth could live happily without anything bad happening to them? Now then, what the heck was that fake Paris about?
Elena Garcia well there will always be the universes where Booker never gave Anna away (granted it's not Elizabeth and would have grown up to be a different person. But Elizabeth and Anna will always technically be the same person) so Booker and Anna would always have their happiness, even though it's just not the same, it gives me a slight bit of happiness after all that happened it infinite/burial at sea. And the way I see fake Paris is that it was the universe Elizabeth went too when she felt guilty about using Sally to kill Comstock thus killing Sally, but even in that universe (whether it's an actual universe or just Elizabeth's imagination) the guilt overcame her and she had to go back.
+Elena Garcia * Spoiler alert* I'm pretty sure that this instance of Elizabeth was the last Elizabeth, as the Comstock killed, if I remember correctly was the last Comstock so Elizabeth is kinda doomed... Sorry for the bleak view but just a thought
+Elena Garcia i'm just going to say i don't give a damn what really happened. While it was a great story, great DLC volume. I still wish I didn't play it just for how it ended. It was fine when she just disappeared at the end of Infinite. But for Elizabeth one of my favorite video game characters to go through all that hell only to be tortured and killed in the end even knowing her actions only changes the actions in some cases where Jack would save the little sisters just bugs me too much. I will accept that Elizabeth just randomly lived the rest of her days in Paris with a Puppy. I'll be stubborn and say screw anything that tries to convince me otherwise.
+Elena Garcia i chose the brutal ending since i harvested most of the sisters since i wanted more adam i only saved 4 and that was when i was turning into a big daddy
Just watching all expression fade from her face makes me wanna ball my eyes out, love this game and i hope they dont fuck up the next one when it comes out.
Why did she have to die? Dude that was really just her choice, she chose to save Sally, and in doing so sacrificed herself knowing Sally would be fine. She would've lived if the big daddy didn't kill her and booker, or if atlas wasn't so damned corrupt.
Man. What really hit me was when the big daddy started crying as well or making those sounds. I grew up with bioshock and it still remains one of the best games ever made.
Only video game character that got me to care for them. Only character to make me cry for them. All these years later, simply remembering her makes me sad.
I mean extended 'Dewitt'. Coz Jack's dad totally treated his son like trash, I thought Jack would be better off joining the Dewitts (likely as Booker's son-in-law :D)
These songs were always so sad, but this game series was my fiances favorite. Now that she passed away, they make me a blubbery mess. They remind me of pain, but also of normalcy.
I like to believe she went to her booker in the dream paris together, to find him there waiting for her and the beginning of the game also is their end forever happily. It's the only way I can sleep at night after replaying it
"From the day we all bought Bioshock: Infinite, the day we pressed start. The day we entered the lighthouse. Were the days where true memories, were about to be made." -Luke Vandegrift
I just finished burial at sea a few days ago and damn I still feel the emotions. I want to believe Liz to survive the events, but I want her to be justified in her actions and her fate.
I remember this part, it made me cry. It started off with a guy sent to a city, then it ended with our dying protagonist in the city of the deep blue sea.
When this dlc came out i waited 3 years to play it simply because i didn't want the story to end. When i beat it and got to this scene i remember turning off the xbox and realizing that its over. I have yet to play the game again and probably never will simply because the game was that great.
Elizabeth is not dead.....being there is an infinite amount of worlds, there MUST be one where she is happy with her Father and still ends up finding her powers again. The Lutece's could still find a way to create Tears....nothing is keeping that from happening.
Not necessarily, being that she's aware of her existences across dimensions, and they of her, truly they're all one in the same at that point therefore she is still alive within them all that still do or would exist.
You don't know this for certain, there is literally no way to prove so. No matter what spin you put on it, with an explanation that of time travel and crossing dimensions...then yea, no way to prove it either way lol also the fact it's a video game hahahah =P
jeez... just finished the game and well... that moment with sally singing hit me like a truck... felt so bad for her... yet so happy that Elizabeth got to know in her final moments, that sally would be saved... but still, didnt stop me from shedding a tear...
Something unique is that not all games get unhappy endings. To me, this ending felt like the time Booker died, but instead of it being Booker, it was you.
TheGuavaberry vita- chambers are only programed to seek out Andrew Ryan's DNA signature. in Bioshock you find an audio log by Suchong that says Ryan ended up banning the use of Bathyspheres and vita chambers and had them coded to only accept his DNA (hence why Jack is the only one who can use them) in Bioshock 2 there's an audio log from Sinclare that mentions the same thing how the vita chambers were regulated by Ryan to only work for his inner circle but after the attack on New Year's day he had them coded to only seek out his DNA. Also in Burial at sea 2 you can look at a chalk board that says the same thing that the vita chambers are coded to Ryan's DNA only.
+UbinTimor I'm stupid and am only in the process of playing the original, but isn't it possible the vita chambers in Fontain's sunken department store were hacked? That way anyone could use them.
@@EpicLuigi24 doubt it, since the main frame for the commands to vita chambers all over rapture is in Ryan's office which also again only accepts Ryan's DNA. And considering the time the games are set in I doubt Atlas or anyone in that matter has a computer that rivals the hacking capabilities of modern computers. In fact the hacks don't even give the best results otherwise hacking vending machines would automatically make every item free instead of cheaper.

+Elena Garcia Constants and variables. She will always die.
0:39 cant handle it boys im going cry mode
She looks so happy in the last picture. I know it's just a game but why did she have to die? Why couldn't she have a normal life?
Why did she have to die? Dude that was really just her choice, she chose to save Sally, and in doing so sacrificed herself knowing Sally would be fine. She would've lived if the big daddy didn't kill her and booker, or if atlas wasn't so damned corrupt.
Man. What really hit me was when the big daddy started crying as well or making those sounds. I grew up with bioshock and it still remains one of the best games ever made.
God dammit :c I cry when I watch this
What an incredible way to link Bioshock Infinite to Bioshock 1, absolutely mind blowing.
Only video game character that got me to care for them. Only character to make me cry for them. All these years later, simply remembering her makes me sad.
Beautiful vid. It feels like it's telling about the life-that-could've been for family Dewitt (Booker, Elizabeth, Jack and Sally)
But Jack is Ryan. Jack Ryan no Dewitt
I mean extended 'Dewitt'. Coz Jack's dad totally treated his son like trash, I thought Jack would be better off joining the Dewitts (likely as Booker's son-in-law :D)
+Cielosta yep and I wish there were more people on the jack/elizabeth ship ;^;
you can see the life leave her eyes and face
it's beautiful
These songs were always so sad, but this game series was my fiances favorite.
Now that she passed away, they make me a blubbery mess. They remind me of pain, but also of normalcy.
Holy shit man. I hope you are at peace. I'm sorry you lost her.
Makes me cry every time
i got slamed in the the feels
I like to believe she went to her booker in the dream paris together, to find him there waiting for her and the beginning of the game also is their end forever happily. It's the only way I can sleep at night after replaying it
The sad reality is, both Booker and Elizabeth are dead.. 😓
"From the day we all bought Bioshock: Infinite, the day we pressed start. The day we entered the lighthouse. Were the days where true memories, were about to be made."
-Luke Vandegrift
Elizabeth still had a vision about Jack saved the kids and gave them a future that she never could had given them, before she died.
this makes me cry every time
Bioshock is not just a game, it is art.
I'll I just believe in the plot that booker and Elizabeth had a happy ending 😢
arnold j. santos me to
thank you so much for this video. the music sync up perfectly together!
Still cry every time
La Vie En Rose in Bioshock infinite evokes almost the same emotions as Room of Angel in Silent Hill
the first minute has me in tears, this game is the best, always will be a part of my life
I cried the first time
All she ever wanted was to go to Paris. It's so sad man i teared up I'll always love this game and never forget it 😔
Damn it Levine, you made me cry already :'(
I just finished burial at sea a few days ago and damn I still feel the emotions. I want to believe Liz to survive the events, but I want her to be justified in her actions and her fate.
Best ending is the "1999" one were you hear Anna cry "and" it was all a dream.
My heart shattered here.
Apres 6ans toujours un chef d'oeuvres 🤩👏
And now I'm crying
I want to talk to someone about this amazing story so much. But I have no friends that play/appreciate this kind of art
I'll talk with you.
Great job!!!
I remember this part, it made me cry. It started off with a guy sent to a city, then it ended with our dying protagonist in the city of the deep blue sea.
A never ending cycle of possibilities with a father and his daughter.
Elizabeth deserved better that's all i have to say
When this dlc came out i waited 3 years to play it simply because i didn't want the story to end. When i beat it and got to this scene i remember turning off the xbox and realizing that its over. I have yet to play the game again and probably never will simply because the game was that great.
Elizabeth is not dead.....being there is an infinite amount of worlds, there MUST be one where she is happy with her Father and still ends up finding her powers again. The Lutece's could still find a way to create Tears....nothing is keeping that from happening.
Donald Violette too bad that universe isn't the game we experienced. In our universe, she's dead...
Not necessarily, being that she's aware of her existences across dimensions, and they of her, truly they're all one in the same at that point therefore she is still alive within them all that still do or would exist.
Don't kill my dreams lol
OUR Elizabeth is gone
You don't know this for certain, there is literally no way to prove so. No matter what spin you put on it, with an explanation that of time travel and crossing dimensions...then yea, no way to prove it either way lol also the fact it's a video game hahahah =P
Un gran final para una gran saga
Step 1:Trying to not cry
Step 2:Tears in your eyes
Step 3:Memories with Elizabeth starts appearing in your brain
Step 4:Cry a lot
jeez... just finished the game and well... that moment with sally singing hit me like a truck... felt so bad for her... yet so happy that Elizabeth got to know in her final moments, that sally would be saved... but still, didnt stop me from shedding a tear...
“ video games aren’t art”
I will slap them with the cover of all three games
Something unique is that not all games get unhappy endings. To me, this ending felt like the time Booker died, but instead of it being Booker, it was you.
It never fails to get me a little teary-eyed that she sings to Elisabeth as she's dying 🥺
The Little Sister that sings to Elizabeth is named Sally :3
If you're feeling down about Elizabeth, Google "vita-chamber theory". You're Welcome :)
Thank you! ☺️
@@UbinTimor tbf. Its always the possibility of bullshitting Elizabeth back to life. I think that was pretty much the point of having the Vita chamber be there of all places. Say the twins or even Jack did somwthing after Bioshock 1.
God Dammit i'm Crying Again...
Just did a Bioshock marathon playing all games now I went to listen to this song and I have never felt so much pain in my heart listening to music and it hurts so much
Damn, some of these photos sorta hit
The saddest thing to me is that aside from maybe sally nobody will know who Elizabeth was. To everyone else she’s just another victim in rapture.
I love you bioshock
Everyone who played the 2nd episode and that heard this beautiful piece of music felt the exact same feeling, and it is masterfully Well done.Even though the series is now over (in ken point of view) I will never get tired of playing this beautiful game. Thank you Ken Levine and irrational games for making this series possible.
Those booker and Elizabeth art are so cute
Happy 10th anniversary for bioshock infinite🎉
Press F to pay respect to Bioshock...
It’s coming back!
i cry the first time i played this dlc....it holds a special place in my heart and i....wished it ended differently. bioshock you will always be in our hearts with your plasmids, vigors and your storyline will always leave us in awe. i bet in another timeline booker dewit and Elizabeth are off having adventures and dancing to music
goodbye, bioshock
This ending trully was.... like its perfect. They better not make another and ruin it
It is art !Bioshock is best game i have ever played before!
In the end, it didn't change anything, it only gave the world a heavy restart, making it all for nothing.
Critical Hit right in the feels
Fancy meeting you here😉
No one does this song better than Edith Piaf!
who still play this game 2020 you're a pure legend gamer like me
This is just 😢...Perfect 😭😭😭
Damn, no other game makes me sad by simply remembering its existency. I thought I am getting over with this game but when I heard the music I know I am wrong. Until 2021 I don't even think any game is as powerful as bioshock infinite.
Bioshock is the only game to give me feels again
Who is here 2024 just finished my first lets play... this game broke me ahhhh the ending!!!!
3:35 I really love this picture. It totally speaks BIOSHOCK.
i cried two hours after ending the DLC
