Snowshoeing is a great way to experience the outdoors in the colder times of year. This video is for anyone looking to try out the sport for the first time, or those just needing some reminders.
Always remember to stay warm, bring water, and let someone know where you are going!
omg the ducks towards the end ! My heart ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I have those exact snow shoes, just bought them second hand. I love them, though I found they are not really made for deep, deep powder like we just had here now. For my use though, they are great, as I make tracks that I walk in over and over again. And they are easier to manouver and lighter than the long ones that are for deeper snow. I used to have those long ones with aluminum frames before, but I like these better.
I'm totally new to snowshoeing, thanks
Easy to follow video and no mansplaining thank you very much
I'm going for the first time this weekend! Thanks for the tips. :)
Great tutorial! - viewer from Hawaii who now lives in Michigan
Thanks! Your tips at the end about how to reverse properly were really helpful.

Where are good places to go?
The ball of your foot must be at the pivot point of the binding and be sure to put the excess strap into the provided clip so you don't trip on it nor it gets snagged. The cleats are called crampons. Body weight including any clothing and gear normally determines the size snowshoe you want to use.
