I have only collected pre decimal for 30 years so still a bit of a newbie. So much to learn on the subject of pre decimals, nothing like the ease of finding information on decimals unless you venture into some of the territory coins.
Just been through the Celebrations tin I have that's full to the brim of old pennies. Took a few days! Found three 1911 pennies and one was a hollow neck! Thank you so much for the info! Can't wait to see more in the series! =)
This variety also occurs on the half penny and shilling of 1911.... The kings head appears to be in slightly higher relief .. only found one 1911 penny with the hollow neck ....
I have a 1911 hollow neck but the coin is so well used most of George's head looks smooth and the back of the coin has alot of wear to its one of my favourite coins for that reason its a hundred years old and to imagine were its been and maybe rubbed for luck . Im not selling but how much does that affect the price .

Hi there. No, sorry it's only the 1911 with the hollow neck that's worth looking for. The hollow neck on other dates is common.
