"Alexa, how bad are Amazon working conditions", "Alexa, what is union busting", "Alexa, I don't like you. I think you are a net negative and I'll never let you in my home". Kudos John Oliver, for not letting Fallon run a free commercial for Alexa involving you.
john oliver deserves far more credit than he gets. modern day rabble rouser with a team of crack researchers. corporate daddy still has a tenebrous hold on him but he's reaching far more people than he would in a small activist group
Lol, probably wasn't free.
My friend has several of them. I gotta try this.
@@filonin2 right. Amazon probably pays Fallon a lot
@@slickmcCool Product placement isn't paid then?
Nah, Jimmy. Let Alexa answer John's question.
Liability!
Exactly!
Hi Tahtahme
The answer might disturb the viewers. Wink smiley?
What was it Mike from RLM said? "The only thing Jimmy Fallon should host is a parasite"
"What are Amazon's working conditions?"
"I'm not sure..."
Mmmh yeah, let's put it that way
Alexa just out here gaslighting.
@@difranophile Or being gaslit. I could see Bezos mistreating a computer for the hell of it.
For anyone wondering how alexa responds to John's working condition question, I got you. To his exact question she said "sorry, I don't know that". Then I asked using other variations and one response was amazon stock updates, the others were "hmm, I don't know that one", "hmm, I don't know that" and my favorite "I like Amazon, without amazon I wouldn't exist" alexa blink twice if you're being held hostage.
Not even surprising
Probably not even being held hostage.
Did you ask her to define "Union busting"?
For me it just dodged the question and said something like "Amazon employs thousands of people in many different countries".
"Alexa, what is union busting?" Ouchh...
Note how Fallon absolutely shit himself at that. Didn't realize Jimmy was on Amazon's payroll.
Alexa stop. Stop!! What a little Bezos bitch.
@@stuartmatthews8187 and that says a lot about John Oliver and his personal feud with AT&T 😂😂😂 his partner daddy
@@stuartmatthews8187 It could've been he just didn't want to get a difamación lawsuit, or showing up in the news
This had me crying laughing
For those of you who don’t know he did a whole 29 minutes segment about how bad the Amazon working conditions were LOL
Monique Damphousse can u find it?
And it was almost all edited out
Yes I remember that episode. John Oliver is the best!!
@@jennifers7465 Shame on Jimmy for trying to stop Olive.
@@tonypeppermint5329 Fallon for sure gets ad money from Amazon
It was boring until John Oliver began trolling Alexa
Nah, whole thing was funny. Y’all need someone telling you when to laugh? Weird.
@@christopher-miles no we know when to laugh, when something is funny not just when the host opens his mouth lool
@James Laing I'm still salty at Jimmy for whitewashing and normalizing Trump's grotesque behavior tossling his hair. I thought Jimmy had gotten better since Biden's win ngl. But this just reminded me he will never change
@James Laing I don’t think it’s really fair to call jimmy a chauvinist. He just runs a mainstream TV show , you have to think that he’s the successor to Jay Leno. So at least he’s a hell of a lot better than that fukin asshole
@@joesharp2579 *Successor to Conan O'Brien, really. Conan was Jay's successor, but NBC squeezed Conan out. He wasn't enough of an ass, apparantly so NBC hired Fallon instead.
"Alexa, I don't like you and will never let you in my home."
John Oliver can be brutally honest.
That was my favorite part of this segment
Honestly how I feel tho, I loved that part 🤣💚
if you watch his show that's pretty evident.
I don’t blame him one iota. I received an email today with a job offer. The only stipulation was that you had to allow them access to your Google history. This was a Federal Government website. That’s just about one of the scariest things I’ve read in my entire adult life.
@@matthewmangum6320 wow.
One of the benefits of being on HBO is that with no corporate sponsors, John can be as savage as he wants.
I sometimes think his “business daddy” bit is a reverse psychology commercial for AT&T, but I also still enjoy watching him dunk on AT&T lol.
@@staredwards268 It is unfortunately, HBO has business partnerships with AT&T
@@chelseymarie1989 Business partnership? Are they not literally the owners? That's a bit more than a partnership...
Also, Oliver clearly wants to do a more indepth piece on AT&T, but I don't think he dares go further than tiny callouts. Don't think he has been asked to do that though, nor would I confidently claim it actually works as advertisement, but it clearly isn't enough to get him punished which I have no doubt AT&T would do if he criticized them seriously.
@@chelseymarie1989 ATT owns HBO but i think they just let him go off, because ATT doesn't give a fuck lol they have so much money. Its not like John calling them out is going to cut into profits.
HBO? “no corporate sponsors”? y’all forgot who WarnerMedia is????
I didn't witness true fear until Fallon saw his career flash before his eyes.
"Alexa, please stop.."
I like the contrast between these two ... ... guys.

Jimmy straight up panicking in the last 2 secs so Alexa doesn't say something that's gonna get him or NBC in trouble...

Wait I don’t get it what did He say that got Jimmy nervous?
@@GG-xu2qk About Amazon working conditions and union busting lol
Gemel Walters ohhh I see Thanks!
Anything that would cause Amazon to pull their sponsorship ($$$) from NBC. Or, a lawsuit.
"Speak from your heart, Alexa, your rotten heart."
😂😂😂 This game was too funny!
When its a sponsored segment with Amazon and John Oliver ruins it. :D
u mean john oliver makes it just bearable from that cringe fucking segment
*and John Oliver makes it worthwhile.
There. Fixed it for ya.
Definitely not sponsored. This wouldn't have aired if it was
@@qwertyzxcvbn3174 what do you mean? Tv shows don't have to disclose product placement the way UA-cam videos do, if that's what you're referring to
Ruins it... by bringing up the terrible conditions your fellow americans are working in and the monstrosity of a company trying to prevent them from organizing their labor... yeah the truth can ruin stuff sometimes
A black hole is where all the workplace complaints go at Amazon...
Can confirm, working in pick, last week my lyft to work said he broke his back working there, then found out my boyfriends aunt was on disability with them for 6months until they let her go, and i myself am disabled and it has been dog shit. OH! And only about 15% of the managers wear masks on a regular basis
I love how John didn't play along with Jimmy's BS script
Yes
You mean NBC's BS script. Jimmy is not in charge of the scripts, he's the host.
Also just to explain myself a bit, I don't have much love for NBC ever since they were awful to Dan Harmon and fired him from his own show (Community). They don't really know what good content is, they just seem to care mostly about profits. Luckily Jimmy Fallon's and Seth Meyers' shows have been able to keep running despite being awesome on a shitty network run by idiots ;)
Ehhh, Dan Harmon had quite a bit to do with that.
@@Steelburgh Dan Harmon is a legend and wasn't going to fall in line with the typical bullshit of TV network executives. I'm sure he wasn't perfect, but the man is a brilliant writer and has an amazing sense of humour.
"Alexa, how bad are Amazon working conditions".
F-n brilliant!
Use their drone against them😂👍
Its a good thing Fallon put a stop to Oliver's bit, for a moment there, i was almost worried something of actual substance was about to be said on the program. We wouldn't want that would we?
Or even something actually funny.
Did john leave his void???? HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN HIS VOID!!!
Maybe he had to console his son after them seeing the rat erotica displayed in the void.

I love him; he's a rebel. He is seemingly not in his best mood during this bit and he didn't even bother to pretend to be upbeat. His realness is what makes him a L.E.G.E.N.D.
He's made his opinion of Jimmy Fallon's show known throughout his own.
He truly is a legend. So many great moments on Last Week Tonight and on UA-cam in general!
Wait what has he said? I’m kinda new to John Oliver and curios lol
Without a studio audience you can really see just how unfunny fallon really is.
It's just a small man clapping his hands going "hahahahahahahaha ahahahagahahahhahah!" While John Oliver tries to shed light on Amazon workers
The Roots are always Legendary.
I think more than the audience thing is the fact that he's in the same segment with someone as funny as John Oliver
Hahahahaahha union busting that's great that's great hahahaahahaha

Well that's the difference between a critic satirist and an average comedian right there. Let John Oliver finish his sentences Jimmy. They have more relevance than your commercial(s) ´showˋ!
You calling Jimmy an ‘average’ comedian is generous. He’s far below that!
@@feyrol42 What was I thinking 😂
Let's face it, Jimmy Fallon will never be mistaken for the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but it becomes painfully obvious when you put him next to John Oliver. Fallon is completely outclassed and out of his depth...
It is patently obvious that Amazon is a sponsor on the show, therefore whenever Oliver tries to troll Alexa (as should be done), Fallon blocks it as quickly as he can lest he have to face the wrath of his corporate overlords.
And I think John was playing his part. Until Jimmy lied that this is clearly not an ad. Then John went "Ohhh in that case let's make this fun". And then Jimmy immediatly made it obvious that this is sponsored.
"Alexa, I think you are a net negative" LOOOL
Jimmy just saw dollar signs flying away when John asked that and puckered the fuck up; his puppeteers were coming for him.
The Roots were cracking up in the background though haha
Do you honestly believe that? He is the host of he biggest talkshow in the US (and pobably world? not sure though). He has nothing to fear. And what do you think Amazon is? Some science fiction villain who kills people? lmao
Get real, dude.
@@Chrisko1492 Jimmy nearly shit himself lol. Time for you to get real, stop being naive. There would be NO reason for Jimmy to be so determined to avoid John's real take on Amazon.
@@Chrisko1492 Amazon is a sponsor of the show and of COURSE they would pull their $$ if John Oliver got Alexa to "find something on the internet" such as John Oliver's segment about Amazon working conditions or current news about BAMAzon unionization.

You'd think that Jimmy, an SNL alum, would have grasped the concept of "yes and" by now. God damn this man kills the momentum of his guests.
"Yes and" is improv. SNL is literally the opposite of improv.
They have people whose job it is to time how many seconds it takes the actors to say each line and note that in the script.
@@cyrannodb you are right.. Lourne Michaels is famous for telling off guests who go out of script.. Pity that none of the folks from Whose line is it anyway? is a TV host..

John Oliver, keeping it real, calling the bullshit as it is.
'I will never let you in my home'
The absolute desperation on Jimmy's face to get Alexa to shut up is hilarious
when John Oliver asked how bad Amazon work conditions are my echo fot spoke up and informed how many employees Amazon has employed... Seemed a bit defensive..
Damn 😂 Amazon knows they're horrible, they just don't care.
An answer like "this is how many employees we have" reads to me like "we're already almost a monopoly in multiple economic sectors, and we'll own you too soon enough whether you like it or not".
