Now getting too pricey for the military on a regular basis. I wore a luminox field watch, and then a rolex for most of my career. But I wished I had seen these. I have one now and I love it. And they are rugged. The G-shocks are rugged too, but anyone would prefer a GSAR or Nav if they could have one.

The ironic thing about Marathon being contracted with the DoD and this model having an NSN, is that nearly nobody in the service wears a GSAR. We all wear G-Shocks 😂 it's actually pretty frowned upon to order one of these in most commands.
It's a military tailored watch that nearly nobody in the military wears.
UPDATE: Hilariously, no less than 3 hours after posting this comment, I run into a pilot onbase Norfolk, VA sporting one of these bad boys. BUT, he did buy it with his own money.

I just asked a watch group for recommendations on solid watches around or above $1k and someone recommended these. I said I always thought these were a Watchgang brand. He then told me they’re highly thought of inthe military and I then told him I must not be paying attention, I’ve been in 16 years and have never seen anyone with one or heard anyone talk of them.

@Philip Henderson LOL. If you're in the Military too, then you know the only way these are thought of are,
"Let's order those fancy dive watches on GSA and try to convince our CO not to take em away from us"
I once knew a young PO3 that tried to route an order request through me with GSARs. When I asked why, he told me "Because I need good time keeping!". I just pointed at his G-Shock.

The Amazon reviews on these watches are not that complimentary. There are many saying the Tritium tubes becoming dislodged. From what I can tell, the watches are sold by Marathon, so they aren't fakes. That being said, the UA-cam reviews are the mostly opposite.
