I just got the XTerra TR260 at the end of November, so I’ve had it for almost 6 weeks.
It’s basically the same as the TR150 but with an auto incline and Bluetooth.
Today I just got at E5 error message. I looked it up and the manual said to check the console/controller connection.
    What?
I can’t imagine that the error code refers to the connections between the console and the rest of the treadmill that is buried in the right upright, which would require taking the console and upright apart. But those connections were really super tight; I had to push them pretty hard to connect them.
I did some digging and I think it may be the connection between the motor and the motor control board under the motor cover.
Anyway, I appreciate your video on how to open up the cover.
FYI, I power cycled the treadmill and the error cleared.
    Hoping it’s a fluke.
I will do the vacuuming both under and inside the treadmill. Maybe some dust is interfering with the connection.
Have you encountered this error code? And if so, how did you fix it?
    Thanks!

It looks like motor replacement down the line won't be too difficult. I'm assuming Xterra sells replacement motors and belts.

Thank you for this video. I've had mines for 2 years. I had to align the belt but now it seems to "slip, or jerk" when I jog on it. Any advice? I really want to keep this one. Thank you.

Thanks for watching, I think there is a way to tighten the belt, I will take a look at the manual tomorrow if I have time and see what it says.

@@ToddsGarage thank you. I was worried about realigning the belt instead of tightening it. I wanted to tighten it without it going to the left or the right. I think I found a video that talks about doing a "full revolution" using both allen wrenches. Only turning ¼ each time to tighten. So far so good. I want to thank you again for your time and help!

I'm surprised that's belt driven. I just assumed most treadmills were direct driven on a shaft. I can see that belt becoming an issue later on.

This is a piece of trash, don't buy it, I bought a new one, had 90 days warranty in parts, I used it about 15 times, the display gave up on the fourth month, the technician told me this is not worth paying $350 to fix this piece of cheap equipment that is supposed to last about 4 months, big regret!!

@@ToddsGarage I contacted customer care twice and we still could not get the treadmill to revert "KM - Kilometers" back to "ML - Miles". In fact we couldn't even get to the "Calibration" mode which is were options to make this switch is supposed to be available.
Steps from customer rep to get to calibration mode - While keeping the "Speed UP" and "Start" buttons pressed, remove the "Red" key and continue to hold down the "Speed UP" and "Start" buttons for 10-20 seconds and while it's still pressed down, insert the "Red" key back to its position.
