Isle of Lismore, Scotland - 'The Great Garden'

We visit the Isle of Lismore, a 50 minute Calmac ferry ride from Oban on the west coast of Scotland. We tell something of the history of Lismore, then walk to the Heritage Centre, St Moluag's Church and Tirefour Broch.

Interesting commentary thankyou have visited we just walked along the lane from the Ferry up to Heritage Center and indulged in the Cafe have a selection of photos I took of the ruined crofts on the way

Ah brought back a memory.I remember travelling back to Oban on the last ferry, about 18hr, in a February and Venus was blazing away in the sky reflecting on the water.There is a Lismore in Ireland too and the famous travel writer,Dervla Murphy, hailed from there.
