On July 20, 2012, a mass shooting occurred inside of a movie theatre in affluent Aurora, Colorado. A (WHITE) gunman, dressed in tactical clothing, set off tear gas grenades and shot into the audience with multiple firearms, killing 12 people and injuring 70 others. The sole suspect, James Holmes, was (ARRESTED) outside the cinema minutes later.
Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old African-American from Cleveland, was SHOT AND KILLED, for AIMING a toy pellet gun towards pedestrians in a nearby playground.
CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE WHITE PPL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also when whites goes on killing sprees, people will say that he's a good kid but he has psychologically problems....but a black person just carrying a gun is a thug, hoodlum, goon or a criminal..

Ronald Austin Mr. Austin, don't forget to add that when a black individual does a crime as you describe, they say that he/she is just acting according to his nature.
That, as I know of, was never applied to the action of a white individual committing the same action.

Parker Family Id have to watch the video again but it appeared as if the cops followed no kind of procedure really. and ive had escalation of force training. if they go word somebody had a gun, regardless of age, why did the pull so close up? lemme see, if I was a good, I wouldnt of gotten near the suspect, I would of made my presence known, stayed a safe distance away, and used that loudspeaker and said hey asshole put your gun down before we blow u away. they knew what they were doing, they rolled up on him n shot him. if anything he coulda had his hands in his pockets and been taking them up to put his hands up. cant tell whats what from the vid though. kids are dumb but not that dumb. they didn him wrong

    Here's a story for ya:
When I was 11 (now 22) me and my friend had stayed up all night playing Socom Navy Seals (great game lol)
By 6 in the morning we were sugared up and amped. So we took fake guns/empty paintball guns and ran around a school area (not our school, we were on break), not realizing what we were doing.
In less than 20 mins the entire school was surrounded by swat team and officers as we were looking out our window. After the cops found out it was us, they took our toy guns and told us what we had caused.
Moral of the story. When your a kid, you do stupid kid stuff not realizing what your doing. This kid was just being.... A kid, and was shot dead for his ignorance. Probably didn't realize what he was doing.

You can give every excuse in the book, but at the end of the day, that boy shouldn't have been killed! Even the person that called 911 said that it could be a toy gun,so the cop should have took that in consideration before he shot Tamir in cold blood. A'lot of you give excuses saying "Tamir should have known better" he was only a kid! We forget as adults that we've all made mistakes as kids, especially me at 12,but that's the part of maturing as you get older, and learning from your mistakes. This story pisses me off because I was in a similar situation as Tamir, but I was a little younger than him at the time. I'm 27 y/o,and in the mid 90's we use to play with cap guns. One day I was at a friends house,at this particular time my mom was at work, and me and my friend was playing with cap guns on the sidewalk, and one of the neighbors called the the cops complaining about the noise, and that we had guns. A cop pulls up and walks up to us casually, and ask us " if we're the ones making noise with guns",and we said "Yes," he asked if he can see the guns,we pulled them out,he takes my friends gun, pulls the trigger,it made a faint pop,and he starts busting out laughing because the guns weren't even loud. The cop talked to my friends mom, then talked to us,and he said "If you guys are going to play with guns that look realistic, try to play in your yard,or have your parents watch you." He was real koo! He didn't pull out a gun on us,he didn't ask if we're criminals,he knew we're kids that didn't know better, and handle the situation as such. Crazy thing is it was getting dark, and he asked me if my parents were at home, and I told him they're at work, but they should be home pretty soon.Dude offered to take me home, and asked if I wanted him to stay until they get home,I said that's ok,he gave me a dap, then drove off. I will never forget that day,and it pisses me off because the cop could of handled the situation wayyyy better than he did. Tamir was by himself,he wasn't in a gang or with a group of people,he didn't look "Threatening" there's nothing wrong with take precaution, but come on,this kid in no right to have his life taken, and the cop needs to be held accountable for his actions!

In 2007, me (white) and my friend Matt (black) were playing with airsoft guns in an empty parking lot in Clayton, one of the richest parts of Saint Louis. 20 minutes in, 2 police cars stormed the garage, and pulled shotguns on us. We stopped, put our hands up, and tried to explain ourselves. They asked for my gun, and I handed it to them, no problems. When Matt tried to give them his gun, they shoved the shotguns in his face and told him they'd "blow his fucking brains out" if he reached for his gun, and then asked him to give them the gun. Keep in mind we both did the same thing: reach into our pocket for a toy gun, but their reaction was drastically different, probably based on our races.

why dont they do it in rich neighborhoods? because in rich neighborhoods parents dont let their kids run around outside or by a park with a replica gun. because kids in rich neighborhoods, both black and white kids, are smart enough to know not to resist or fight with cops. thats it.

Vi Lu You are ignoring the fact that in other countries such as the UK, this simply would not and doesnt not happen. The child did not need to be shot on sight. The american system is so corrupted that people actually think killing in that manner is justified. The odds of the police being in danger were astronomically low, but they are just trained to kill on sight when there is a perceived threat. Its sad and it paves to way for things like this to happen. The america police murder hundreds of people yearly

As an officer anywhere you have to expect the worst. Lets say that kid just acted like it was fake. How should police know? At that point, if you watched the video it looks to me like he tryed reaching for the gun. When that happens its not cops vs. public it turns into man vs. man. Even if hes a child hes just as capable to murder. At that point you cant take chances, its either kill orbe killed. These police men are trying to make a living and go back to their families.

  • @lukivah
    @lukivah 10 років тому

In my opinion, the major difference is the repercussions a police officer might face. A police officer can stop and frisk 20 poor kids in a poor neighborhood and he might only get 5-6 hits. The same police officer in a middle-class or rich neighborhood can stop and frisk 20 people as well and he might get 5-6 hits, but the chances of one of those 20 people being the son of a friend of the mayor, or the daughter of a well established criminal attorney, are much higher.
If you stop somebody who looks homeless in a poor neighborhood, chances are they ARE homeless. If you do the same thing in a middle-class or rich neighborhood you may very well be stopping a millionaire who walks around unshaven and unkempt and likes to dress down to not appear rich.
Just one of the factors that goes into this, IN MY OPINION.

I like his interview it was very correct and well informed from his perspective. But the real issue is who you are, what you look like, and where you come from. All those key components that relate to africans all have devinity from god in it, guaranteed. When you realize that and incorporate it into this evil society the truth will unveil itself to you. Even with this interview Immortal Technique who's probably of a Latino ethnicity from his skin tone and dialect and what he's speaking is the truth and even Vlad agrees. But if you look at a Lord Jamar interview who speaks this same honesty regarding topics like this you won't see Vlad complying to his answers, as much likes on the videos, or a diversity of respectful comments below. Why is this because he's black and this world, country, and society denounces african people but will tolerate them in most cases regarding the hue of their skin.

Alright, coming from some white kid:
Hearing this shit really pisses me off. This is actually the first time hearing this specific story, but the events like Michael Brown and etc. this is completely unacceptable. He mentions how people have forgotten that they came to this country too, but I think most people forget (or possibly are too ignorant to understand) that this fucking country has had black slaves longer than we've even been a country. What makes people think that one type of human is better than any other? I don't believe in races. I believe in one race, the human race. And nothing gives anyone the right to kill anyone no matter the color and believe that they can get away with it just because of the fact that they are a different color. This country's judicial system needs to get their shit together or there's gonna be a lot more angry black folks (and this one white kid) that are willing to do something about the problem and not just sit back and watch people getting their life taken for nothing.

Yes its tragic that a 12 year old got shot by the police. But he didn't have the plastic tip of his gun. Yeah the officers reacted way too quick but honestly put yourself in the shoes of the cop. Dispatch didn't tell the cops the gun was probably fake and he reached for his waist when the cops rolled up. I'd be pretty scared if I was that cop. A twelve year old can pull a trigger too. I just think these things are always too one sided. Cops are human, he got scared and reacted.

The whole notion of bail seems inherently fucked to me.
In what mindset can paying for freedom make sense? Essentially, the only people who can pay bail are... the born rich, who don't need to commit crimes for money, so are essentially using their wealth to fund criminal habits, or... Those who have accumulated wealth by committing crime consistently. Both of those people will be able to cover bail, the only people that WON'T be able to, are the honest poor.
And in some instances, won't those honest poor be motivated to commit crime to be able to get some quick cash any meet bail!?
It's basically saying you're fine to commit a crime as long as you can fund the punishment - which is presumably why you have celebrities repeatedly taking class A drugs, and mowing people down behind the wheel and still being free to walk the streets.

I don't know Ohio gun laws, but had this been a regular citizen who had shot Tamir Rice due to self defense, we would've all said the person should be charged with manslaughter. They're cops so the rules change of course.
People are ignoring the fact that the person who called the whole thing in was outside and literally sitting a short distance away from Tamir Rice when he reported, if this was a person with a legitimate gun, wouldn't his account have sounded like he was scared, or wouldn't he have ran away lest he get shot? He was more annoyed that frightened. If the caller, from afar, could reasonably see that the gun was probably fake and that it was a child, why is it that cops who are trained to deal with stressful environments were unable to see either at close range?
Looking at it, you can just google cops and "water guns" and you'll find out that cops have a long history of killing people with toy guns of all varieties. I even remember hearing these stories as a kid and never taking my super soaker out of my backyard. The fact is that trigger happy cops will shoot you because they are trigger happy. They can confuse a wallet as a gun, an inhaler as a gun, a phone as a gun etc. It doesn't matter, they are trigger happy, they are stressed out and as a citizen you're the one who is supposed to make them feel secure, especially if you live in a dangerous neighborhood.

Reading comments that would put the blame on any 12 year old child of any race are heartbreaking. Do you really think a child understood the danger from police for having a toy.... you really think white kids in upper class neighborhoods don't play with toy guns look up the game "assassin" played in the burbs by middle and high schoolers (who should have more understanding of the danger if in fact there were any danger to them from police.) In fact yesterday in the news was a story about high

Of all the fucked up killings lately, this overreaction was most justified. At least the cop had some reason to be scared, but there was a time when cops took cover and waited until they are fired apon, like at hostage situation.

okay, lets stick to the facts.
...the cops were being cops, and the kid was being a KID.
yes, the cops are wrong for shooting an innocent boy on the spot. but they were doing their JOB (as cops). As for the boy, Carrying a gun (fake or not) it should not be pointed at peoples faces or at ANYONE!!
...also, the cops didn't care to LISTEN CAREFULLY when they received a call from the person who reported- which means they were trained improperly, & also means that they simply don't give a fuck. it doesn't matter the skin color. its the principle of the situation .

i can agree that class plays an important part in policing but i haven't yet once in my entire life ,(and i am very old), seen an unarmed 12 year old or any age for that matter killed while unarmed and playing in the park when he was white,,,,,or seen an unarmed white teen shot for running from the police ever,,,,and never ever seen a white youth demonized when he even did wrong like the columbine killer he were described in the media repeatedly as a youth who was isolated and troubled, an outcast social but even when a black teen is killed the wagons are circled and every minor infraction like smoking weed is plastered across the media and he is described as a huge treat and powerful and dangerous and animalistic and if even one of you deny this truth you are either wearing blinders or your just as evil as the slave masters whom sold new born black infants as alligator bait and there will arrive a day od reflection in your life that will reveal to you how wicked your heart truly is
