Giving the ways Jay could have lost his memory during the merge I'd be incredibly disappointed if they made the reason behind his amnesia being a bang on the head and not something connected to the current plotline and characters

Regarding the theory about the source dragons representing specific elements, I believe it is more than a theory. Look at Dragon's Rising season 2, episode 3 when Lloyd and the source dragons have their "meeting," the source dragon with an Earth-looking symbol says (and I quote) "He wields an element. Who among us claims him?" Afterwards, the source dragon with the green symbol says he is one of hers. This interaction all but confirms that the source dragons have a connection to the elements the ninja and other masters use.
It could’ve been like he was just getting a bit weaker until he lost his memory after the merge
I think it's worth considering that among the ninja, Jay was the only one who wasn't on the Bounty with the team. Perhaps him getting caught in the literal eye of the Merge may be the cause, but idk.
Also, we've seen Jay lose his sense of reason within days to a week at best in S9, so him losing his memories as a result of something silly wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Also I think that Jay will betray Lord Ras if he joins him and then he will be with Nya but he needs to get his memory back so that way he can remember who he is
Because Nya is worried about Jay and I want her to save Jay
I like this theory. It makes sense, and when Jay recovers his memories, it's not just a click and BOOM! He's normal again, but as the source dragon recovers, Jay could regain his memories one by one.
I definitely think this theory is a possibility, I just hope we see what happened perhaps in a flashback what exactly happened to Jay and his Titan Mech post merge. 👀🤞
Knowing them depending on how long he goes rogue for it could happen because again this is Jay one of the only Ninja to not have something happen to him because Kai was nearly corrupted by chens staff and Zane was corrupted by vex and nya by the water and Cole by becoming a ghost and Lloyd by losing his golden power

What if the administration or some higher up saw Jay unconscious and erased his memories or something, knowing he's a ninja or to simply take him in as a new member.
Or what if it's somehow linked to the past seasons? Like, for example in s6 with the whole erased time-line thing and since he was the only one to remember with nya, it somehow messed something with him in the merge and portals since it also has something similliar to do with timeliness? Or from tournament of elements, when he got blown up in the mech and it gave him not that serious damage but the merge did something to him, what with him getting tossed and all.
My theory is pretty much the same theory to the second theory of yours but I think these are great ideas🙂

I just figured he hit his head really hard with flying around in the merge haha, it’d be very much a jay thing to do that.

Wow that’s actually a good theory 🤗! I can imagine him having troubles to control his mech after the merge and then 💥BOOM💥he crashes with the mech to the ground and waking up with no memories.

Cool theory but there is one Problem with it. If Jay lost His memorys because of Imperium draining the Power of the Energy source Dragon shouldn't Jay have lost His memorys before the merge? The source Dragon was captured before the merge after all and I doubt Beatrix would wait until the merge to darin His energy
Maybe it took effect on Jay once they were on the same Land? Since the merged realms fused their not seperated from eachother by a realm

We also need to remember that when Jay’s power was activated by Wu’s ghost and it was yellow lightning not blue, and also the symbol for the energy dragon is also like yellow lightning. But everything else in your theory lines up.⚡️🌩️

I always thought that jay lost his memories from having too much memories of losing his friends, so during the merge it somehow got to him and made his memories go bye
Honestly I’m still like on the side of the Merge happening because of killing the Overlord too many times upsetting the balance and causing the merge to happen and the Source Dragons could have easily stopped it but allowed it to happen because they don’t involve themselves in mortal affairs
Or they just say that, like motion did. Life and energy (more so energy) was against the idea of if they DIDN’T help with a mortal affair. Idk if that makes sense
Then again the overlord could’ve appeared over and over but since he technically is immortal, it would make a lot of sense being balance related

Same. Jay is easily my Favorite Ninja in I'm curious on what Happens with Jay in dragons rising. He seems to Play a rather important role in Dragons rising and I'm really exited to See Jay as a Villain.

I think were all forgetting a major fact about The Administration and that is in season 1 they mentioned that The Administration is part of the realm know as the Kingodm Of Madness now due to this fact I believe Jay after the Merge landed into the Kingdom of Madness and was wandering there trying to get back to the other Ninja but due to he couldn't find a way out his mind started going mad and the realm itself affected his mind after many years being stuck that it made him forget everything about him except his powers and then he stumbled into The Administration and without any knowledge of who he is he decided to join this group so he would have someplace that he belong to and had a home due to he had no othet place to go
This is probably and very likely what happened, idk why some people just look into things too much but yeah I agree with your theory

Not necessarily because jay actually mentions that he’s only ever know the administration as if he woke up in the administration without his memory, and so it’s basically all he knows

In regards to jay's role in the tournament, if the sets are anything to go by, I believe it'll be Kai who he faces (whoever runs the tournament would have brought Kai back from never space with the promise of freeing him it he wins) and so Kai would let jay beat him as he doesn't want to fight but would try and get through to jay and would break through partially so that jay partially remembers the ninja. Kai would see this and forefits the match, sentencing himself back to never space on the chance that the ninja could save jay. Lord Ras would then rebrainwash jay and he'll fight nya who would fully breakthrough to him and save him. Pretty similar to Bucky from captain America winter soldier
Heres my theory: After the merge, Roz found Jay unconscious and brought him back to a plack unknown to the ninja. When Jay woke up, he was in a room with spirals around him, with other people inside, but with blindfolds on. When Jay tried to look away, one of them grabbed him and forced him to look. After a while of staring, he forgot who he was and who the ninja were, which might explain why he didn't remember any of them. Maybe this will get disproven, but who knows.
I personally don't believe there's anything really behind it. Imo, I think it has to do with being trapped inside the realm of madness for 5 years as the people in the queue we see have no memory of why they are there as they just know there is a reason to it and their parents did it who presumably forgot why they did it so I think the realm just slowly drives you mad and you start to loose your memory

When it comes to solving his amnesia I hope it’s not solved as if it were temporary, where all the memories come flooding back after one moment. If Jay got injured in the merge it’s at least been like 3 years since the injury so regaining memories should take a couple of episodes at least because he’s been living a separate life for too long to have one memory flood back all. Seems like dragon rising wants to take their time with stuff so seems like they will head the long term route.

Maybe Jay crashed landed his Titan Mech and met Ras being separated and they got into a fight and Ras hit him so hard he got amnesia and before Ras could finish Jay the Administration showed up and took him to the administration and Jay now with memory loss kind of sweet talked his way into saying he’s an agent himself and he got lost and stuff and the administration probably did a lot of paperwork and stuff and boom pop pow he’s in the administration 😂
It would also make sense that Ras caused Jay to lose his memories because there’s really no reason Ras needs Jay unless he’s incountered him before and I’m gonna assume Ras meets jay again forces him to wear a mask and shatters the goodness in him being evil and idk maybe S3 is finally saving Jay and bringing him back to the light side
Or Ras uses Jay as a Sacrifice for the Forbidden 5 and one of them inhabits his body
Nice but I think it he was walk to try and find the other ninja then one of the administration agents came up to jay and could have found him useful but the only problem was he had elemental powers so they erased his memory, hoping he will never discover them

I don’t agree with this theory only because I feel like Dora might also might fall under the source of energy along with jay so I think Jay being the only one in a mech might have got tossed around and hurt his head in the mech and then the administration found him

So does that mean when the former elemental master of smoke, Ash died a relative became the new master of smoke which is Cinder. This means that Cinder had to be a good person before the merge but he forgot his memory after the merge and if he was really evil he would have killed Ash before the merge
Personally i feel like , in the merge part 1 they showed us the ninjas before they got separated but jay wasnt on the bounty,he was using a mech suit so maybe when the merge like officially happened he was in the eye of the merge so maybe when the realms joined together jay was hit with the blast and he lost his memory

What I think what happened is
Jay was in the suit flying saving people but when it went boom the suit could malfunction and he lost control so he crashed he hit his head and passed out then he was rescued by the administration. Jay was hurt and with no memory but they knew he was the lightning ninja so they kept him for season 2 or 3 Jay could remember and try to escape but he got got then the administration could use his lightning to power stuff. The other ninja has think a plan to rescue him.

The amount of things the writers have just made up which we didn’t know before are just.. like Lloyd had green eyes in flashbacks, what’s her name, the skeleton woman meeting Wu. There are just so many other things messed up in the timeline.

Maybe the yellow color has some connection. And this theory is 60% true as we hear one of the source dragons saying to llyod hes one of mine. What does that line mean truly?

Could riyu somehow be the Grey and yellow source dragon
And maybe he is connected to elemental powers like wu's creation power
And due to his young age, causes Wu to turn into the spirit
Which could be remaining energy of his power due to aging backwards into nothing
And that could explain why Riyu aged so quickly within what seems to be only months after season 1

I have questions, about which Elemental masters are connected to which Source Dragons, like the master of metal could possibly be Strength or others like speed and etc...
Not to mention that we only know 4 of the Source dragons, 3 more are unconfirmed, they could be harmony or some other aspects

Imagine during the source tournament jay and nya fight and nya realizes its jay(assuming he’s masked up like the minifigure) but Jay eliminates her without hesitation
Hey one thing, the source dragons being the “source of elemental powers” is probably true but what I think is source dragons are the source of elements of the world like “motion” or “strength”
It's all so confusing at this stage, and it's driving me nuts. Too many possibilities. I can think of a ton of different reasons as to how Jay may have lost his memory, and why it looks like he ends up being on the side of the baddies. Too many unanswered questions with this, and other things. I'm still confused why the source dragon of motion is fire...? Fire is energy, literally. Fire is the sun, energy, the source of all life. Quite confusing. But anyway, anyone also remember that right before the merge, Sora said she wished she was not there, in Imperium, and then boom, the merge happened? Also, that one lone Djinn was hiding out, still alive after Djinnjago was destroyed? I feel like all this stuff must be connected somehow. They never revealed what Kai saw in those visions when they faced their worst fears either. Cole still hasn't revealed what he experienced on his lone quest. How the hell did Zane end up locked up in that, whatever it was? No explanation still for the weird fact that all these similar monasteries have cropped up all over, or the portals connecting them. The one in Mysterium has the SAME damage on the wall that Cole, and Jay put there. And none of them trip out over that, and try to figure it out? lol.
I think every Source Dragon is the source of at least 3 elemental powers. Motion could be fire, smoke and speed. Energy could be lightning, sound and heat. The thing is Wyldfyre should be affected also. We could swap one of the elements, but Idk which one
Near the end of tournament of elements when all the masters are summoning there dragons they shout the name of there element and we can hear Lloyd shout energy so I don't think it has to do with the energy source dragon but maybe the administrator.
My theory was since so many things were flying around during the merge, Jay just happen to get hit really hard by something and impact caused huge amnesia.
My second theory was that maybe he was fine after the merge but being in the realm of madness something happened to him that caused the amnesia.
Have you ever noticed in season 11 episode 28 when Krag smelt wolf's and Nya said she thinks he smells something and if you look at Jay you see him lift up his arm and smells it? Like the moment I saw that scene I laughed at it and showed half me family 😂
It's a pretty cool theory to be honest and would make some sense. Though, I think that the only other Elemental Master that we know of that might be affected by the Energy Source Dragon not being able to do it's job right would be Griffin Turner, Master of Speed. It makes sense, to me at least, for Poison to be connected to the Life (green) Source Dragon, since it kinda has a nature aesthetic and Poison is part of nature and Light could be connected to either Motion or the gold and silver Source Dragons. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
There are moments in the series, Jay may recover his memory to see a flashback with images from the previous seasons of Ninjago as well as Wilfilm or Widbrain and I hope you put the scenes with Nya from the Seabound season that would be a good theory

And yes, Lloyd yelled "energy" while summoning his dragon, but it was the only time he used this term.

I have a theory(ies) as well.
1. Remember Ash from the Tournament of Elements? All the Elemental Masters are still alive! Ash hasn’t been seen at all.
2. If Cinder is the new master of smoke, then does that mean that Ash is KO’d? Bcz if so, then I think that the capturing of the Source dragon of energy affected Ash and made him oof. Proof: Tox and (I think) Pale man are still in alive and in the sets. We also saw the Elemental masters in season 8-9 again! Skylar in season 16 once more! So just asking, could put all this in a vid, pls?

@@rafaelrivera7594 We don't know that. We know little about the Administration. Jay's story in Dragons Rising is very MCU Winter Soldier. One scene has to be Nya fighting Jay but doesn't know it's Jay. During the fight his hood comes off revealing Jay.

So when the Motion Dragon is taken by Ras, would Kai feel the effect? If this is true I hope we see all the Ninja have links to the Source Dragons not just Lloyd. And the other Elemental Masters. I think Tox would be more connected to the Power Source Dragon as Toxins are connected to the Earth but Light is Energy so Mr. Pale and Jay being effected some way would be cool. Same with Gravis as Gravity is another form of Energy.

I think about your theory of "Backup plan" would have some sense weil Ras didnt succseed in bringing back all of the F5 and maybe he recruited Jay because maybe the previous Elemental Master of Lightning to be more specifically Jay's mother turned evil and she join the F5.
