Thanks for watching!!!
Outside of our Engineering College
We had like 5-6 canteens ( Excluding the one which was inside the campus )
All the canteen owners know our syllabus better than us
They know what we regularly eat, regularly drink, the brand of cigerattes we smoke.
They know more about our faculty than us.
They know who beat up whom for teasing some one else's lover.
They just know everything
I am missing those days..
Cheers to Indian Colleges !
That is so true
SubhanZombie true man.
So true!!!
SubhanZombie so true
I always miss those days
Achara is Indian by heart, she understood the last part..
No she's asian she understands the culture

Watching this video again after two years....... And now you can really see Achara and Jaby were getting to know each other. what they were and have become now..... Proud of you two !!!!!!
you didn't get inside jokes ... only an indian engineering student can understand it best...
Achara is a pure soul. She needs to be protected from all the malice in this world.
Jaby this is a phenomenon in India that happens almost with everybody. The small eateries/ bars and cigerette stalls around the campus become like second home during college. The food no matter how cheap or junk is usually loved by all. The owners and workers at these places usually become friends with all students and always know whats going around college. These places are like stress busters, escapes and hang out places so students are often left with very fond memories of these places. And yes many on their last day in college cry or feel sad when they have to leave them.I too cried 10 years ago when I realized on the last day that I will never be coming back to these places the same way again. And I will choose these same cheap eateries any day hands down over all the expensive French, Italian, Indian and American restaurants I dine in today.
Achara is so smart, she gets everything almost acurate!
Sometimes I think she's Indian from inside.
she is asian thats why
this is one of the most relatable things in India. I'm in law school and our uni has this shady bar across the street that is almost considered to be part of the college bc we'd literally go there like 5 times a week so you know all the employees. Also, that smoke shop next to it, that's exactly what every shady bar in India has. The English subtitles are not half as funny and definitely don't do justice to how witty the references are
Tum daaru peeti ho?
lol are you talking about christ college in bangalore?
@@advaitpatil4843 hahahah yes
@@sagarikasuresh wow crazy guess, cheers to Avon.
@@advaitpatil4843 bang on lmao, was referring to Avon
I studied Engineering and for 4 years me n my buds had a regular shady bar just like in the video.. the feels are real!!!!
Sangeet Subedi not an engineering student but have been to these bars in past. definitely you make friends to regular fellow students or visitors. when broke during studies guys use to visit these shady bars to get liquor cheap and a cheap place to drink. every shady bar has thousands of stories to tell.
Yeah covid fucked my batch
It's about engineering students when they live in hostels sometimes in far off villages; there isn't enough money to booze and not enough options so they tend to visit such small bars where actually the tables are stained and you get peanuts and cockroaches around etc. and getting a placement meaning you getting selected for a job through the colg campus
This video brings back so many memories ..I remember back in 2016 I came across jaby channel and at that time I was in my second year of mbbs and now I have graduated ..feel so old tbh😂
third part was the best but you didn't get the jokes.
The last part was just a common thing which happens with Hostellers in India!!!! They go to cheap bars due to pocket money issue....... Also the type of send-off they gave him is kinda spoof of the marriages while sending the bride to her groom's house....
this is quality content right here. absolutely unique and captivating. bravo!
God Achara is so bang on everytime. Looks, class, humour and intelligence all bundled in one. I wish you could just be one of my many friends. It would be fun.
Good edit of Lata Mangeshkar's song and hatsoff to the singer who managed to sing in her style.
Original song:- Kabhi Khusi kabhi gam
Just half a mile away from my college, we used to have a shady bar like this, just a bit cleaner. Within 4 years, it expanded in size and now its not even recognizable. Memories around them is what make them special. I still remember how I used to save money for months and come there with a friend.
Here I just saw a lot of cultural diversity & differences between American and Asian people. Achara hats off and Niaomi, jaby is completely unknown.
Basically in india , parents provide financial support till graduation and job. they stay in hostels. college students cant afford macD , subway they mostly rely on canteens and bond grows between canteen workers and students.
Achara always gets the inside jokes and references better than anyone else !
These dive bars, are probably where loads of people have the most fun. Its where most kids start drinking with their friends, its where college kids spend most of their time. More than charming I would say it gives you a sense of nostalgia.
You did not understand the last part because there was a Bollywood movie reference. You haven't watched that movie yet..
True that, this is how it feels to leave the place you lived for 5 years of your life which you think was worst but will remember em the most for whole ur life. That’s what they tried to show here. The friends, usual shops or bars you went to.. and people you meet daily. Achara is right on that.
Both the pretty ladies were spot in with their analysis. These bars become like family to thousands in India. You meet various characters and it's a new experience every day in these bars.
why they are crying at 5:20 its a funny scene.. i think they didnt get it.. only hostel boys can understand..
achara called it right and its like hostel and college students studying away from home like in another state these type of joints are like the only hangout spot of it for all buddy's out together
Well, sorry for the super late comment but such dive bars actually bring back memories during the last few days as Achara pointed out. In Indian engineering colleges, people go through hell in terms of study pressure, peer pressure, making a living, etc. Initially, such places are just visited to blow off steam during a stressful day but later when your friends join in memories are made, trips are planned, pranks discussed, tears shed over various issues as the video pointed out about his break up and when you realize it's your last day there it all comes back.
Aib was the first to give us content like this before tvf, timeliners, filtercopy
Reach to AIB harrassment thru the ages. Just released yesterday. Fresh video.
then recommend it after some more days
Naomi nailed it! Most students in india can't afford fancy places so they all have a favorite "bar" or "dhaba(rough cheap food joint" or college canteen. They are not so well maintained and every indian student fondly remembers that place where they bond over junk food , cheap alchohol and suspect quality. But they remember it for the rest of the lives.
Naomi is like a living don't try to laugh challenge
The last part was actually the funniest. I was in splits. Achaara understood it the best. Cheap alcohol and shady bars! I should try it too!!
As students in India, when we patronise a shop/bar we become very close to the tenders. That's just how we are. This depicted in the video, is true for any college goer in India. The bar is generally very cheap (in every sense) and since nobody ever joins college to study, most of the allowances we get are carefully spent in such local bars. Achara has it figured (she's also so cute! ^.^).
Revisiting this video. Jaby, Achara and everyone check out 11:30-11:32. Well, it speaks for itself.
love the way achara understands so much. like she says, it not about how good the bar is. its abt the memories and experiences students form with a certain place as they frequent it during graduation.
about the dirty dingy bar- students usually can afford only such places as the good ones are just too expensive. every student has a place like this. atleast in india where the division of class is very high, and per ca-pita-very low. not something you guys wld be familiar with in the usa.
When Are They Gonna Do "Kenny Sebastian" and "EIC:Outrage"? Do It Already!!!
He needs permission to do that. Or else COPYRIGHT STRIKE!!!
top comment
You don't think EIC is licensed? If not then why did Jaby ask TVF and AIB whether he can react to their videos?
Okay. I did not know that. Thanks for the info Hououin Kyouma. Is that your real name?
+Toxic Why Is The 1st Letter Of Every Word In Caps & "and" Is Not ? Make It Right!!!
The last part is tribute to engineering life we all go to these dive bars near engineering colleges. The last day of engineering student is depicted here who is having farewell at his regular bar.
I loved it when Achara said "bitch" 😂😂
Where
it's a very personal experience in india... You become friends with everyone there, and leaving these places is very emotional.
i really miss my engineering college..(IIT KGP)
i read first year and came back due to corona ..
its starting soon..i hope to go back soon
Engineering in India is not a course...
It's an emotional journey.
We bond with so many people around the college campus.
The local cigarette vendor, the chai wala, the local alcohol shop, the canteens, the photocopy shops...
This is where we spend most of our Engineering life😹.
No wonder movies like 3 Idiots are such great hits
Watching this again and again, just because of Achara's laugh. God bless you
This video is way too Indian for you, jaby... :/
Aaah man.. That's quite real.. As Achara got it, they do have that rough, to the ground, nostalgic typo in them.. U miss these days too much. The point is, you develop a connection with the staff and the regular people hanging around there.. Hope you could enjoy such a life Jaby.
Till this day that third part is hilariously relatable.
wow..Achara gets the essence of these videos so perfectlyy..impressive
Well, This is something every college student in India has experienced, cuz we were always short on money, and these bars are usually a stone's throw away from the college.. And the bar's name usually ends in "Krupa", like Guru Krupa or Sai Krupa (Krupa means blessing). So over the duration of college, we develop a good relationship with the waiters and owners of these bars. This is quite an apt satire on those memories!!
Amazed how Achara gets it every single time.
I was waiting for this for months :D
Atlasstt! people have been asking this for a long time
Does Jaby say "Hi"?
frst cmmnt? too long to type
Gaurav Singh you can always edit your comment 😝
Usha Kiran oh...thts my bad..😊
Usha Kiran jaby says bye
I say hi
achara saying bitcch but still sounds polite is the cutest thing ever
Achara gets the inside joke everytime and she's good at guessing the premise too..... She's good at guessing the subtle Traditional n cultural nuances in the videos more than jaby..... She's very smart....
3rd part is just a stereotype of how girls went to their in laws leaving their parents behind, so that's the pun right there!.
Jaby, the emotional part sort of resembled emotional father before daughter's marriage/ melodramatic Bolly movies/ which depicted the scene when Kunal was leaving the shady bar for good
Achara then and Now 💛
And if jaby achara view this now with subtitles...🤣🤣🤣 Laugh at every moment
for engineers here its the most important place...the only constant in those super chaotic 4 years//...every college has that 1 dhaba{cheap place for food n drinks}..that is also the place most of us start smoking n drinking for the first time...special bond
the 3rd part is like very emotional scene for a student leaving a place where is spend his 4 years.. its like spoof to romantic and emotional drama movies like "dil wale dulhaniya le jyenge" and "kabhi kushi kabhi gum" also last song is also spoof of the same movie its done in very sarcastic way and exaggerated if you see those movie it make much sense to u
dialogue also convert to make it related to bar and restaurant
OH MY GOD, I SO wish i could have been there to give you guys some context on ALL the ridiculous references...
Good lord Achara is as pretty now as she was 5years ago
It's gonna be hard for you guys to get the 3rd act... The satire is pretty spot on if you've lived all your life in India... Plus an emotional Bollywood song used as a parody to add effect... It's pretty brilliant :)
actually 3rd part was the best
modification of that song was mindblowing
Third part is like a college student going to a shady bar bcz it's cheap .It's normally 4 years .Achara was bang on about the relationship happening there .
This was hilarious but only an Indian will get the jokes. This was not a good recommendation for Jaby. Naomi must have found it strange and boring lol.
lel
Achara is so adorable when laughs freely
love u achara. I loved the way u laughed during the rap order
Finally back from the cyclone blackout using neighbours wifi for internat 😜😄
3:57 onwards Achara's reaction made my day :D
It's been 5 years, but I regularly come back to this video at least once a year to watch this part again.
Last part is based on engineering students. 4 years of stay. 1st year is where you start with all and then 4th year you leave after getting a job. The depiction was just like a kid leaving his family to step into the world. Engineering has millions of jokes on it in India.
we want to see HONEST JABY KOAY REACTIONS or something like behind the scenes 😉😆😆😆
u get it wrong bro...….. actually they did drama exactly copy of what happens bride leaves of their home to go to their husband home in indian culture...….. such as throwing cashew behind( throwing rice in indian hindu wedding)…. moreover the parody song of the iconic emotional song (KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM) was just so hilarious...… and those cheap pun jokes... hahaha.... in that situation those emotional background music were just superb.....
no d emotions were potrayed of really emulating a karan johars emotional scene turned in to a college emotional funny scene
Achara smile uff ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
jaby do all the 3 parts !!!! they are amazing !!!
The last part is similar/acted-similar in a way traditional Indian/hindu families giveaway their daughter after marriage.
achara is so on point.
it's just when u don't have cash ur only place to drink, smoke and eat on credit is near ur college. "udhari" means credit wch kids do much often because college kids as it is is always low on cash. 😂
most colleges in india are in remote places and every college has atleast a single bar with which the students get familiarized because there is no other bar nearby.
The last one is actually better. As an Indian we can relate to it. It's funny but at the mean time it's emotional too
The 3rd part was exaggerated..but intentionly. Obviously, it had more of Indian humors keeping you guys a lil left out despite the subtitles. As an Indian, I loved the sarcasm in it.
that achara's reaction, she is prettiest when she smiles 😘😘
look at achara laughing.. she seems to be totally enjoying it.
achara is so indian by heart i just loveeee herrr ❤️❤️
You actually will never get the inside Indian jokes as you are American but I really like all your videos and genuine reactions
enginners hit like if you can totally relate specially to second phase of video
good bars are pretty expensive
so we students end up goin to these road side cheap restaurant because we aren't earning
it may not be hygienic but super friendly
after a week or 2 u end up knowing every employee of that restaurant
N those are the really "fun years" of our life
@jabykoay - These are dodgy bars where you can buy your own bottles, sit and drink. Its more like an attachment to a liquor store than a bar. Usually good for students and poor people.
Jaby, I guess you should also cover the next 2 videos in this series. AIB had released 3 videos concurrently for Honest Bars series. Part 2 and part 3 are equally funny.
I would pay to watch a full film about this.
jaby There Was Karan Johar Movie Song In This Video ........ Don't Worry He will Not Give a Strike 😂
O GOD ACHARA, YOU R STUNNING
Boss I stayed in bar for 4 years studied as well but I can’t forget Th e bar
OMG! That was brutally hilarious! Complete exaggeration and over-action. It was a complete exaggeration of a farewell to a college student in that small hotel or restraurant they've visited during those college days.
hell you all were not catching the inside jokes😹😹😹
Indians move across cities to study. And with the frustrations of studies and home sickness and breakups and all the other stress these shady bars are the respite. Cheap alcohol but absolute fun. These are the moments that made college life wonderful. And yes you couldnt get a lot of it because a lot of it is intrinsic to Indian student lives. Lost in translation ... a prime example.
Achara Kirk is smart and intelligent. Absolutely no doubt about it.
achara .. the best smile .. like really, her smile makes me smile every time
The last part can be felt by most Indian engineering students :p
We all have that special shop or "thek" we get overly familiar with haha
Jaby, Do watch part 2 and 3 of honest bars and restaurants. ..
Hahahaha!!! Kabhi kushi kabhi gham! One of the first Hindi movies I've ever watched.
Finally u did after so much request
