The matte is a tad bit warmer than the original and I love it! I wore it yesterday in humid ass NOLA and it wore beautifully and did not transfer on the MASK! I am so happy with it!
I'm going to the beach & I just noticed that Sephora and Kohl's are a thing now & your girl has a Kohl's card & I went ham and ordered a lot of repurchases and I just ordered this foundation and I am BEYOND EXCITED to wear this foundation.
I agree that natural finish looks the best. Unfortunately, juat doesn't last on my oily skin. And the color was a bit warm, but worked after the rest of the makeup was applied.
@@CamilliaYvette I reckon you could get the same look by using a liquid highlighter under the foundation. I do it 9lon days when I know I'm going to need to powder more or when I wear double wear
Very good review. I could tell the difference in the formulas right away. Even though the matte foundation is a litter warmer, it looked great after all products were applied. Even at the end of the day the matte side did not darken. I think it’s a good fit. I like both, but I like the wear of the matte best.
When the matte formula dropped, I straight away pulled out the original to see if I’d even consider buying it, because I remember Loving the original so much, like why mess with perfection! Well, right away I could see that the shade is off! I can’t believe it, I’ve wore it so many times and felt it was a perfect match. Early on, getting a foundation with the right undertone and shade was a struggle! And I’ve only in the last year become more confident in choosing the right shade for me. So this could be what happened with this shade.
I know this video is old, but I wanted to know your thoughts about the shade difference. Did you stick with Brulee or change shades. I purchased warm sand but...I feel it's more my winter shade. I want to try Brulee for summer...but not if it's pulls too orange. Just wanted your opinion as to how it wears...Did it oxidize even more orange or did it dry down to a decent match for you. Thanks in advance.
I have both, and I like both formulas. Love the matte foundation finish but its much warmer on my skin, which you can definitely see the orange. This is bad for me, because of Ms. Rona I didn't get my tan, so it really shows. Love how it held up didn't have to blot until 8 hours later. Really good formula.

Wow I’m impressed with the foundation. I’ve seen mixed reviews on it but it’s definitely better suited for those with oily skin. Would you keep the same shade or go to a shade lighter? It did look orange but blended nicely with the rest of your makeup. Also did you experience any breakouts? I know for me, coconut oil can cause breakouts. Overall looks amazing. I did guess right too. Thanks for sharing!

Hey CC, So I’ve watched you and Fayy Lanea and you both have oily skin, I also watched Andrea Renee who has combo skin. It looked Beautiful on all of you. The shades do seem to be more warmer than the original. I have dry skin and I luv the original Born This Way. The only time I would probably wear the matte one would be this time of year (of course using the right primer). I do enjoy some matte/ soft matte foundations tho.
Good one!!! Idk if I can choose! The both wear pretty similar ---- Too Faced has a bit more coverage though! And both keep me matte throughout the day!
It works really really well on oily skin...I am an extreme grease ball not combo but oily and I really liked that it kept me matte but on me all my pores were emphasized big time...

I’m not sure how it is in the states but in Canada they won’t allow us to get samples or even swatch in stores because of Covid. Not sure when that will change. It could be different where you are though!
PINEAPPLES 🍍 Every review I've seen on this foundation has the same claim regarding the color looking more orange than the original formula. So going to probably go with a lighter shade or at least a more neutral tone in an effort to balance it out. Love that highlighter! Just might find its way into my cart! Now if Pat McGrath follows with a matte formula of her foundation.........I'll just leave that right there.

I like the shade when the rest of my makeup was applied. Im going to keep it. And no breakouts for me. I'm really liking everything about it.
