He was sold by his parents as a child, abused by his owners, then he became a vampire and had a wish for human blood, when he finally meets someone who loves him back, Cassandra, she dies in front of him and he is not able to stop it. That is the last thing he saw before waking up in XXI century and the first person he saw was Lizzie, a girl who reminds him of Cassandra. With all that baggage, he is not in his right mind and his perception of a romantic relationship hasn't evolved with the times. He needs therapy and somebody who can understand his current situation. I say that Hope should call her uncle Kol or Marcel, they probably would know how to help and teach Sebastian how the modern world works, and we could get back characters of The Originals.
Nicely said. I saw few people saying he is sick and don't ship Sizzy anymore.. I ship them even more. And Lizzy just doesn't understand why he forced her to drink blood.. So to speak. Because him seeing Casaandra die wasn't 800 years later, it was more few days earlier, because he was "in a coma", plus as you said he was abused, and I think he mostly killed the crew which abused him, and needed to learn how to be a vampire. I feel so bad for him😭😍
Yes, definitely. Right now Lizzie feels like a replacement. But to be fair, for Sebastian he has only been alive a few months after Cassandra was ripped to pieces in front of him. So it will probably take some time. I mean it too Damon, what, 170 years to get over Kathrine? and she didn't even really love him.

theory cassandra was the founder of the gemini coven and there leader , and was a very powerful syphoner witch how could also generate magic from herself like witch plus, but after her coven found out about her relationship with a vamp and being responacble for the death of the colony of Roanoke the coven cursed her descendants to only have the ability to syphon, generations later the coven invented the merge as a way of maintaining strength like how human kai merged with jo and have both natural magic and a syphoned ability, lizzie probably shares a very similar look to Cassandra or is even her doppelgänger, in later seasons I think Cassandra will be resurrected by Josie as an attempt to break the gemini curse and prevent the merge where we will see a love triangle form between the three like Katherine Elena and Damon.

People think Sebastian is crazy for what he did but his trauma of losing his girlfriend made him like this. Plus it doesn't seem like he was going to force her to Kill herself. It seems like he just fed her Vamp blood because he knew there was a possibility she might die. He knew the others were trying to kill them and at least if she had Vamp blood in her she can be safe... The thing that's wrong about this that he didnt give her an option. Some rather die than become vampires
I think at first he was planning on killing her, but upond seeing how she didn't want it, he would just leave it up to fate. Like if she happened to die, then she would have vampire blood in her system. Also, its basically what Damon did to Elena, and their relationship still became great. Yes, it wasn't the best thing Sebastian has done, kinda of crazy, but I still ship them. I'm okay with a little toxicness in this universe in relationships, because its not real and they all do horrible things. Damon and Elena were a lot toxic, but their chemistry was just amazing and so were their love story.
@@TKDDLJ09 Actually, in Damon and Elena's case, Elena went to the hospital with an injury and that doctor used Damon's blood to heal her without her or Damon knowing about it. It was not until Elena died in that crash that the doctor actually revealed what she did. Damon never meant for it to happen.

I love the concept of Sebastian's character, but he becomes his own fears by beliving he is not enough for Lizzy. He is enough he is strong, sensitive with a lot of bagedge and bad experiences but love makes you do the best thing, which is being not selfish. And he sees other girl not the one which is by him, this is sad. Loving and being in past, not seeing future neighter hope is a dark place. He is truly tragic

She somehow magically desiccated sebastian, yet despite dying and very likely not being able to bind it to a celestial event, the only desiccation spell known to exist (which would require using a human heart and therefore exposing the very person she was using it to protect) remained active for centuries. Shouldn't be possible, unless it wasn't actually done with the dark magic spell, but instead... Of course, it's been a while since that happened, but if she is still alive, she's extremely dangerous. She used her discovery of sebastian's murder spree to make herself feel better about causing a full blown massacre, and screwed him over without hesitation when her plan was threatened. 😈🔥☠
I actually have a theory on that what if she died with vampire blood in her system. When Sebastian first woke up he didn’t remember much so what if he doesn’t remember that he spiked her (just like he did Lizzie) because he was scared she was going to get killed. She could possibly hate him for turning her which could be a reason why she left him desiccated.

@@daidai23 that was different. The spell davina broke just protected the mikaelsons (individually) from death because every vampire that could be traced back to them dies as well. The sire bond is when a new vampire feels a significant amount of gratitude for the one who turned them, and then is completely under their control. It can happen with any vampire, not just the mikaelsons
I love your video and how you reorganised the scenes to show more of Sebastian's perspective. I get that this relationship is pretty toxic, I get that if Lizzie was your friend in real life you'd tell her to run for the hills. But who is watching the TVDU for healthy relationships? Nearly every single character has murdered at least one person (maybe the Legacies characters are a bit more innocent but it is early days!) Personally I enjoy the TVDU for the complicated dangerous drama not to see two well adjusted caring people fall in love. Anyway end of my rant. I really loved your video. The music choice was especially good. It was emotional without overpowering the scenes.
I'd literally like to write what happened from his point of view, well, to explain it actually but people won't understand. I happen to have read and see and love characters like him and I totally understand his reasons even though they weren't right. And so in my newest video I added the two scenes where he saved lizzie before the same thing happens to her like cassandra and the other that mentions she died in front of him. He just wanted to protect her. Yes, his way wasn't the right way but no one really seems to care about what he lived and how he feels about that. They only know to blame him. Honestly, his action were normal thinking he lost his love in front of his eyes and couldn't do anything to protect her and now that he has the chance to do that he did. What's worth to mention is that he could easily kill her but he didn't instead he explained her why he did such a thing to her. The fact that he confused their names is because he didn't had the chance to move on from cassandra's death of course since he was desiccated for 400+ and when he woke up he only focused on lizzie and started developing feelings for her and also the fact that she reminds him of cassandra it's a big deal to him. People can do the worst things for the greatest good sometimes. And as we saw she had the accident and it's not sure if she's dead but one thing sure is that his blood will heal her in that case. As for him, he needs to deal with his demons and try to fix his fears so he can be with lizzie and love her unconditionally. I think that's the right moment to give him the development of his character. Your video gave all the points. It was nice.
I think he realized the dangers Lizzie faced being in the prison world. He knew Kai and the others would be waiting to get their hands on Alaric, Josie, and Lizzie. He wanted to save Lizzie. I think the fear of losing her brought back traumatic memories of losing his former lover, which is why he said her name. We have to remember, he was desiccated in a box, forced to forget because of malivore. When the memories resurfaced, I'm sure they overwhelmed him and felt like they had happened just yesterday instead of hundreds of years ago. Yes, what he did was selfish, but he thought he was doing what was best for her. If he wanted to hurt her or had ill intentions, he would've snapped her neck the minute she finished drinking the wine. At the end of the day, these are just fictional characters and I really don't care if people get upset that I still like Sebastian and still ship them. Every TVDU character is horribly flawed and makes horrible mistakes. Damon mentally and physically abused Caroline, killed Elena's brother, forced Elena to drink his blood, compelled girls so that he could sleep with them and feed off them, yet he's a fan favorite (and one of my favorites). And guess who else did awful things? Stefan. Caroline. Klaus. Elijah. Enzo. Elena. Rebekah. The list goes on and on. lol. People need to stop taking these shows so serious and let shippers ship who they want and love the characters they want. Every character is messed up and EVERY SINGLE RELATIONSHIP is toxic. lol.

@@AmberKateD1995 there are plenty of shows, agents of shield for example, in which once the toxicity was discovered, the relationship was pretty much over. No matter how much she claims to want him gone, lizzie just can't help herself, despite it being months after the psychic communication drama. However, I did find it interesting that josie was the possessive person in her relationship with landon earlier in the season. While also toxic, it was refreshing to see it go against the way such relationships are normally portrayed.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't ship Sebastian and Lizzie. I get the appeal of the ship, and usually I don't mind toxic ships, but I just think Sebastian is using Lizzie. Maybe Legacies are going down the doppelgänger route with Cassandra and Lizzie - which would probably be boring. Or maybe Cassandra just resembles Lizzie or something. Anyway, I think either Caroline or MG will help Lizzie learn control, while Sebastian will try and convince her to give-in to her thirst for blood. Cassandra will probably return either as a vampire or a heretic, and that'll give Sebastian another plot line. Either way, I think Sebastian and Lizzie are over (for now at least. maybe Lizzie forgives him in a future season or something).
I ship them but it for their chemistry. It's not like I want Lizzie to end up with Sebastian because they're really toxic and Sebastian is definitely not over Cassandra. It's good that he made it this long before the inevitable breakdown. Basically, I just think lizzie needs to understand that before doing anything about sebastian.

@@karleejo7604 maybe the writing could have been a little better, but I think that lizzie accidentally being killed by her own sister would be a great storyline. In regards to her possible injuries, I shouldn't have said they could happen very easily. One or both of those is almost certain to happen under those circumstances. Even if she does miraculously survive, I think at that point lizzie would be infinitely more against being a vampire than she was before she found out about sebastian feeding it to her. The actress is quite keen on it too, so it would make more sense to do it now.

although in part Sebastian still thinks of Cassandra you love Lizzy and he knew he was taking risks so that's why he acted on impulse to be able to save Lizzy knowing that he could come back (a bit like Damon did with Elena in 2x20) but this desperate gesture was not made in bad faith out of selfishness but out of fear of losing someone you love so much that you can't lose so I'm sorry to say it but Sebastian did well (but only if he knew in advance that Lizzy was taking risks otherwise he wouldn't have had to let her choose as Stefan would have done) I see her and think so if Lizzy's accident is serious I then hope that she becomes a vampire and even if confused to have heard sembastian call her by the name of Cassandra she can understand that she did it for her to save her life. in this universe of The Vampire DIaries, The Originals and Legacies the only thing that I will never understand because some characters prefer to die rather than have the option of keeping alive as vampires (certainly they will be forever damned to drink human blood but at least I will live if I could have this option I would gladly take it as Bella in Twilight prefers this sentence but at least she will always be with Edward)
The thing is that I still ship them, yes what he did was wrong but he was acting totally different from the last episodes like I can’t explain it properly but he was acting different and I could actually see it in his eyes that he was trying to protect her and maybe kai got to him before they came and tried to munipulate him to hurting Lizzie but he didn’t want to so that’s probably why he gave her his blood and when he said Cassandra maybe Lizzie is a dopleganger and cause he was so shocked and scared he said Cassandras name cause every other time he would say Elizabeth all the time and you could see that he loved her for her not Cassandra see that’s why I’m confused and still having hope for them as there was something off with him in that episode :) (PS no hate please just my opinion) 😊
I am getting a Damon, Katherine, Elena Vibe. Sebastian is acting a lot like Damon did while he was looking for his lost love Katherine but meets Elena and is totally taken by her. Damon made a lot of bad drastic decisions to save those he cared for. I see the same in Sebastian.
The whole time he was talking in 2x12, I got eerie Klaus and Caroline vibes from them. Especially the scene where he was saying everything in the prison world could be hers. I also get a glimpse of Damon, too, because of the whole Cassandra thing. Weird. But I kinda ship it. Lol.

@@TKDDLJ09 Actually, in Damon and Elena's case, Elena went to the hospital with an injury and that doctor used Damon's blood to heal her without her or Damon knowing about it. It was not until Elena died in that crash that the doctor actually revealed what she did. Damon never meant for it to happen.

I thought surely Sebastian knew that there were those people who could hurt Lizzie or kill her so he kept in the dark telling Lizzy that there was no one but in reality he did it just for fear of losing Lizzy who he is starting to love and he is afraid of losing her (then surely it is understood that he is still a little confused and still thinks of Cassandra but perhaps because of the shock or because Lizzy looks like Cassandra and therefore he is afraid of losing her more because he has these 2 loves in conflict I believe that over time Sebastian can put Cassndra aside and totally love Lizzy as Damon did even if yes for sure Lizzy maybe she will feel truly loved in the sense that she feels mata only because she is ugule in Cassandra but who knows maybe also Lizzy will be able to overcome this and I think they can love each other honestly) boh I sincerely say that at this point since Lizzy has made an accident she will become a vampire or rather I would like her to even if Sebastia could run the risk of being hated by her at first but then maybe Lizzy capita (although though remember that as long as a human is in transaction to become a vampire he could go back with black magic as Bonnie felt with Elen 4x01a there is that option there) so I am asking myself a question would I like Lizzy to become a vampire? or can it become human?

I love the concept of Sebastian's character, but he becomes his own fears by beliving he is not enough for Lizzy. The sire connection started with the originals that spell is broken. I dont think they can be sires any longer

The sire bond is when a new vampire feels a significant amount of gratitude for the one who turned them, and then is completely under their control. It can happen with any vampire, not just the mikaelsons

I love your video and how you reorganised the scenes to show more of Sebastian's perspective.
I get that this relationship is pretty toxic, I get that if Lizzie was your friend in real life you'd tell her to run for the hills.
But who is watching the TVDU for healthy relationships? Nearly every single character has murdered at least one person (maybe the Legacies characters are a bit more innocent but it is early days!)
Personally I enjoy the TVDU for the complicated dangerous drama not to see two well adjusted caring people fall in love.
Anyway end of my rant. I really loved your video. The music choice was especially good. It was emotional without overpowering the scenes.

I'd literally like to write what happened from his point of view, well, to explain it actually but people won't understand. I happen to have read and see and love characters like him and I totally understand his reasons even though they weren't right. And so in my newest video I added the two scenes where he saved lizzie before the same thing happens to her like cassandra and the other that mentions she died in front of him. He just wanted to protect her. Yes, his way wasn't the right way but no one really seems to care about what he lived and how he feels about that. They only know to blame him. Honestly, his action were normal thinking he lost his love in front of his eyes and couldn't do anything to protect her and now that he has the chance to do that he did. What's worth to mention is that he could easily kill her but he didn't instead he explained her why he did such a thing to her. The fact that he confused their names is because he didn't had the chance to move on from cassandra's death of course since he was desiccated for 400+ and when he woke up he only focused on lizzie and started developing feelings for her and also the fact that she reminds him of cassandra it's a big deal to him. People can do the worst things for the greatest good sometimes. And as we saw she had the accident and it's not sure if she's dead but one thing sure is that his blood will heal her in that case. As for him, he needs to deal with his demons and try to fix his fears so he can be with lizzie and love her unconditionally. I think that's the right moment to give him the development of his character. Your video gave all the points. It was nice.

I think he realized the dangers Lizzie faced being in the prison world. He knew Kai and the others would be waiting to get their hands on Alaric, Josie, and Lizzie. He wanted to save Lizzie. I think the fear of losing her brought back traumatic memories of losing his former lover, which is why he said her name. We have to remember, he was desiccated in a box, forced to forget because of malivore. When the memories resurfaced, I'm sure they overwhelmed him and felt like they had happened just yesterday instead of hundreds of years ago. Yes, what he did was selfish, but he thought he was doing what was best for her. If he wanted to hurt her or had ill intentions, he would've snapped her neck the minute she finished drinking the wine.
At the end of the day, these are just fictional characters and I really don't care if people get upset that I still like Sebastian and still ship them. Every TVDU character is horribly flawed and makes horrible mistakes. Damon mentally and physically abused Caroline, killed Elena's brother, forced Elena to drink his blood, compelled girls so that he could sleep with them and feed off them, yet he's a fan favorite (and one of my favorites). And guess who else did awful things? Stefan. Caroline. Klaus. Elijah. Enzo. Elena. Rebekah. The list goes on and on. lol. People need to stop taking these shows so serious and let shippers ship who they want and love the characters they want. Every character is messed up and EVERY SINGLE RELATIONSHIP is toxic. lol.

@@AmberKateD1995 there are plenty of shows, agents of shield for example, in which once the toxicity was discovered, the relationship was pretty much over. No matter how much she claims to want him gone, lizzie just can't help herself, despite it being months after the psychic communication drama.
However, I did find it interesting that josie was the possessive person in her relationship with landon earlier in the season. While also toxic, it was refreshing to see it go against the way such relationships are normally portrayed.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't ship Sebastian and Lizzie. I get the appeal of the ship, and usually I don't mind toxic ships, but I just think Sebastian is using Lizzie. Maybe Legacies are going down the doppelgänger route with Cassandra and Lizzie - which would probably be boring. Or maybe Cassandra just resembles Lizzie or something. Anyway, I think either Caroline or MG will help Lizzie learn control, while Sebastian will try and convince her to give-in to her thirst for blood. Cassandra will probably return either as a vampire or a heretic, and that'll give Sebastian another plot line. Either way, I think Sebastian and Lizzie are over (for now at least. maybe Lizzie forgives him in a future season or something).

@@karleejo7604 maybe the writing could have been a little better, but I think that lizzie accidentally being killed by her own sister would be a great storyline. In regards to her possible injuries, I shouldn't have said they could happen very easily. One or both of those is almost certain to happen under those circumstances. Even if she does miraculously survive, I think at that point lizzie would be infinitely more against being a vampire than she was before she found out about sebastian feeding it to her. The actress is quite keen on it too, so it would make more sense to do it now.

I really wanted to see who Cassandra was
although in part Sebastian still thinks of Cassandra you love Lizzy and he knew he was taking risks so that's why he acted on impulse to be able to save Lizzy knowing that he could come back (a bit like Damon did with Elena in 2x20) but this desperate gesture was not made in bad faith out of selfishness but out of fear of losing someone you love so much that you can't lose so I'm sorry to say it but Sebastian did well (but only if he knew in advance that Lizzy was taking risks otherwise he wouldn't have had to let her choose as Stefan would have done) I see her and think so if Lizzy's accident is serious I then hope that she becomes a vampire and even if confused to have heard sembastian call her by the name of Cassandra she can understand that she did it for her to save her life.
in this universe of The Vampire DIaries, The Originals and Legacies the only thing that I will never understand because some characters prefer to die rather than have the option of keeping alive as vampires (certainly they will be forever damned to drink human blood but at least I will live if I could have this option I would gladly take it as Bella in Twilight prefers this sentence but at least she will always be with Edward)
