According to Cagematch, there have only been 9593 WWE shows (TV shows and PPVs) which is still 5000+ less than what John guessed.
Crazy thing is that number is also probably counting live events too
@@RhinoGore38 Nup that was just the shows that aired on TV or PPV, if you were to count every single event there have been 25440 which is insane. To put this into perspective, Mexican promotion CMLL (founded 1933) has been around 20 years longer than WWE (founded 1953) yet has had over 14000 less events (11813!)

The Manhattan Center has two ballrooms. The smaller one upstairs is the Grand Ballroom, where they taped Raw. ECW and Ring of Honor ran downstairs in the Hammerstein.

I knew the gauntlet match because I was at that episode of Raw, and it was the most epic start to Raw ever. No talking, just 2 straight hours of wrestling

I think we need to agree that the only reason most of us like any given theme for Raw is that it was around when we were growing up with the show. Because most of the time I see people talking about best themes (or honestly wrestling in general), it's when they were younger. Obviously not saying you can't like something else for a different reason but nostalgia hits hard. I grew up with "Thorn in your eye" which is probably a terrible theme objectively (what even are the lyrics?) but just got me hyped every time. "Across the Nation" is another real good one.
Not true, the theme songs are just getting objectively worse and more generic.
If I recall, WWE stopped using commercial songs pretty much across the board except for some OG theme songs.
Now it's all written and created pretty much specifically by and for WWE. Less royalties and rights they have to dick around with.
You'd think they could make the songs MORE iconic that way but 🤷

I was 9 when RAW premiered in 1993. I turned 10 that July. I didn’t start watching wrestling full time until 2007 though. Before 2007, I would watch it off and on.
My favorite RAW theme song is To Be Loved by Papa Roach.
Number 2 is: Across The Nation.
Number 3: Burn It To The Ground by Nickelback.
Number 4: Enemies by: Shinedown.
Also I remember when RAW went to 3 hours at RAW 1000. I remember it cause that had the wedding segment between Daniel Bryan and AJ Lee.

Technically John was correct about his ECW comment. ECW One Night Stand 2005 and 2006 were held in the Hammerstein Ballroom, which is in the Manhattan Center.

Or, for our hockey brethren, Rangers play at MSG and the Islanders did play at Barclay's for a while before moving back up to Nassau.

I was at the RAW 25 show in the Barclays Center. Great venue except for hockey. It was rough years when the Islanders played there.

There were a few technicalitities for MITB cash ins over the years on Raw. RVD challenged Cena using the briefcase for the One Night Stand match on Raw in 06, Strowman I think did the same thing in 18 challenging Roman for Hell in a Cell and then Asuka being handed the belt being inside the briefcase cause Becky vacated due to pregnancy in 2020. Overall I came with the conclusion of 8-10 times so not far off

They may consider it the highest viewed segment, but it isn't Undertaker vs Steve Austin in June 1999 ( i believe the night after King of the King) is the#1 most watched Raw segment and there are a few others above This is Your Life. Vince Russo is the one who claims it is the most watched segment. Non wrestling wise, may be correct.
