@@RhinoGore38 Nup that was just the shows that aired on TV or PPV, if you were to count every single event there have been 25440 which is insane. To put this into perspective, Mexican promotion CMLL (founded 1933) has been around 20 years longer than WWE (founded 1953) yet has had over 14000 less events (11813!)
The Manhattan Center has two ballrooms. The smaller one upstairs is the Grand Ballroom, where they taped Raw. ECW and Ring of Honor ran downstairs in the Hammerstein.
i’m surprised dante didn’t say “to be loved” was on his gym playlist lol!! loved this quiz this one was fun love you guys 💜 also love how dante didn’t even fix rey and he just left him laying down 😂😂
I knew the gauntlet match because I was at that episode of Raw, and it was the most epic start to Raw ever. No talking, just 2 straight hours of wrestling
I think we need to agree that the only reason most of us like any given theme for Raw is that it was around when we were growing up with the show. Because most of the time I see people talking about best themes (or honestly wrestling in general), it's when they were younger. Obviously not saying you can't like something else for a different reason but nostalgia hits hard. I grew up with "Thorn in your eye" which is probably a terrible theme objectively (what even are the lyrics?) but just got me hyped every time. "Across the Nation" is another real good one.
If I recall, WWE stopped using commercial songs pretty much across the board except for some OG theme songs. Now it's all written and created pretty much specifically by and for WWE. Less royalties and rights they have to dick around with. You'd think they could make the songs MORE iconic that way but 🤷
For those curious about the MITB cash-ins: -CM Punk (on Edge) -The Miz (on Randy Orton) -Dolph Ziggler (on Alberto del Rio) - John Cena (on CM Punk) -Damien Sandow (on John Cena) -Nikki ASH (on Charlotte Flair) - Big E (on Bobby Lashley) -Austin Theory (on Seth Rollins) Technicality- Asuka (awarded title by Becky Lynch)
I had 5 and completely forgot to count Cena, Theory, and Nikki plus I thought Sandow cashed in on a PPV but I had the rest including the technicality 😭
Rock, this is your life is always given the credit for being the highest rated segment in Raw history, but the highest rated moment in Raw history is actually Stone Cold vs. Undertaker for the WWF title.
Across the nation lyrics. - I'll get the guns, the drugs For my generation I'll take the fall The saints, across the nation Yeah it's the sex, the Gods, the fakes, the frauds They're messing with me Come on, come on, come on Let's get it on Move to the music Play that fucking music Move it to the music yeah (Let's get it on) Move to my music Play that fucking music Live through my music yeah
Saved by a double or nothing wager I finish with 10. I guessed Barclays then couldn't remember if that was in New York 😂 glad I didn't change 😀 thanks for another great quiz 😀
Interested to see what sorta questions there will be on this one. 30 years of history to work with. My knowledge from like 2001 to modern day should be fine, but before that I might be scratching my head
Technically John was correct about his ECW comment. ECW One Night Stand 2005 and 2006 were held in the Hammerstein Ballroom, which is in the Manhattan Center.
18 Quizzes •Dante 11 wins •John 5 win •2 Ties •Dante has a 61win % against John •John has a 28win % against Dante •11% chance of a tie ( 2 ties/ 18quizzes)
9:00 Tears in my eyes from laughing. The confidence of John getting it on the dot, to the priceless reaction of dante when seeing 15k combined with john's embarassed look 😂😂
I missed four of the first five questions. Still ended with nine points going into the last question, bet it all to see if I could beat Dante and John, and I failed miserably...lol. Another good quiz and a great video.
i was there live in Greeneville, SC for the This is your Life Alexa Bliss segment and it was even worse live. It just seemed to go on and on. Crowd got restless and booed
Good quiz, missed 4. I was 9 when RAW premiered in 1993. I turned 10 that July. I didn’t start watching wrestling full time until 2007 though. Before 2007, I would watch it off and on. My favorite RAW theme song is To Be Loved by Papa Roach. Number 2 is: Across The Nation. Number 3: Burn It To The Ground by Nickelback. Number 4: Enemies by: Shinedown. Also I remember when RAW went to 3 hours at RAW 1000. I remember it cause that had the wedding segment between Daniel Bryan and AJ Lee.
The song you were humming ithink was from 2009-12 its called burn it to the ground by nickleback.i could be wrong though. Love the videos and im glad your back.
17:20 ecw one night stand was indeed at the hammerstien ballroom in nyc. Donte was thinking of was the 2300 arena in Philadelphia where ecw held the majority of its shows in the 90s
There were a few technicalitities for MITB cash ins over the years on Raw. RVD challenged Cena using the briefcase for the One Night Stand match on Raw in 06, Strowman I think did the same thing in 18 challenging Roman for Hell in a Cell and then Asuka being handed the belt being inside the briefcase cause Becky vacated due to pregnancy in 2020. Overall I came with the conclusion of 8-10 times so not far off
Funny thing about the This is Your Life segment. They may consider it the highest viewed segment, but it isn't Undertaker vs Steve Austin in June 1999 ( i believe the night after King of the King) is the#1 most watched Raw segment and there are a few others above This is Your Life. Vince Russo is the one who claims it is the most watched segment. Non wrestling wise, may be correct.
Oh wow I got really close by doing the math in my head on the Raw episodes question. I said 1544 and it was 1541. I just wasn't sure how many episodes to subtract between when Raw 30 happens and December 10th lol.
All cash-ins in order: CM Punk 2008, The Miz 2010, John Cena 2012, Dolph Ziggler 2013, Damien Sandow 2013, by way of Becky Lynch being pregnant Asuka 2020, Nikki A.S.H. 2021, Big E 2021, and Austin Theory 2022. And only three were failures. (Cena, Sandow and Theory).
The best was Legendary by Skillet a Christian band lol jk that's a good song but my favorite was the one where it shows the wrestlers in a warehouse and Austin is at the end walking towards the camera and flames shooting up behind him
1. Shawn Michaels 2. Across the Nation 3. 2011 4. Austin's Beer Truck 5. Bliss/Bayley 6. Jerry Lawler 7. Gauntlet Match (Love this Match) 8. 1500 9. 1992 10. Undertaker 11. Undertaker 12. Punk vs Cena 13. 4 14. Live Sex Celebration 15. Mike Tyson 16. Barclays Center (I don't think that's in New York, but oh well.) Score: 10 out of 16
Honestly, one of the best moments in Raw history is also one of the (based on extenuating circumstances) worst in wrestling history. The night after Owen died, they did a 'Raw is Owen' special, and rightfully so, is one of the most watched WWE / F shows of all time.
According to Cagematch, there have only been 9593 WWE shows (TV shows and PPVs) which is still 5000+ less than what John guessed.
Crazy thing is that number is also probably counting live events too

Poor John. His reaction knowing how dumb his answer was. 15000 episodes of raw had me dying
He tried to save face by basically saying at least they both had a number 15, which is saying, "at least we both know what 3x5 is"
ECW One Night Stand was actually in NYC and not in Philly. It was in the Manhattan Center, at the Hammerstein Ballroom
I thought i was the only one who caught that
I’m assuming the “technicality” cash in was when Asuka was given the championship in the briefcase by Becky when Becky was leaving to have her kid?
Ah, good point
Yes that’s correct. All the others were a typical Cash In or Cashed in for a future match at a later date.
I only count 8 then
No, it was 2006 RVD came out on Raw and announced to Cena he’d be cashing in the MITB at One Night Stand… I actually got to see that live😁
@@coltondunagan That doesn't make sense, that means he cashed in at ECW not Raw
Their reactions to the Rey Mysterio figure knocking over the drink twice had me rolling ☠️☠️☠️😭
"To Be Loved" is also my favorite Raw theme song.
The Manhattan Center has two ballrooms. The smaller one upstairs is the Grand Ballroom, where they taped Raw. ECW and Ring of Honor ran downstairs in the Hammerstein.
Do they look the same?
Very similar, just different sizes
Like the banners in the background. Hope to see more additions to the 'set'.
Those ring skirts are a nice touch.
i’m surprised dante didn’t say “to be loved” was on his gym playlist lol!! loved this quiz this one was fun love you guys 💜 also love how dante didn’t even fix rey and he just left him laying down 😂😂
When the coffee spilled and John and Dante went “OOHH” 🤣🤣🤣
john cracks me up every episode. his jokes are just so funny for no reason
19:17 - Even Rey was annoyed!
2003-2006 RAW theme song is actually at the top of my gym playlist 😂❤
I need to do one of these quizzes with you guys this looks like an absolute blast
I knew the gauntlet match because I was at that episode of Raw, and it was the most epic start to Raw ever. No talking, just 2 straight hours of wrestling
Amazing quiz and as a Nets fan/ Brooklyn native/ person who went to that 25th anniversary event it was hilarious watching y’all squirm 😅

Not true, the theme songs are just getting objectively worse and more generic.
If I recall, WWE stopped using commercial songs pretty much across the board except for some OG theme songs.

You'd think they could make the songs MORE iconic that way but 🤷
Last comment. ECW one night stand was at the Hammerstein ballroom in New York. That was the first PPV I ever purchased.
At one point there was over 800 people in premiere club chat! Mad fun playing with everyone live
For those curious about the MITB cash-ins:
-CM Punk (on Edge)

got correct:
CM Punk (on Edge)
-Dolph Ziggler (on Alberto del Rio)
- John Cena (on CM Punk)
- Austin Theory (on Seth Rollins)
and said 5 cash-ins
Found you from tiktok specifically the 619 and Jeff Hardy Obama vid.... I'm subscribed now. I love it here

The Raw theme song that kept popping in my head was "Bodies"

In celebration of Raw XXX, what are the favorite Raw matches in the SCW community? Mine is Michaels vs Cena in the hour long match!
I totally nailed the first 5, I guessed 2012 somehow, and it was all down hill from there.
The most watched segment in Raw history is actually Austin vs Taker in 99 with 9.5 millions
segment, not match
Bro I laughed so hard at “I put 2004”
The double drink spill was on point.

16:34 NICE!!!
I am SUCH a child sometimes! Laughing helps though so I don't give a "DAMN!"
Across The Nation started from 2002-2007 then the best song intro in recent years which was Enemies by Shinedown.
I honestly liked burn it down to the ground tonight more. Attended that playing live once. Whatta song
Raw Cash Ins (I think)
CM Punk
The Miz
Dolph Ziggler
John Cena
Damien Sandow
Big E
Austin Theory
Nikki Cross
Asuka
I was at the RAW 25 show in the Barclays Center. Great venue except for hockey. It was rough years when the Islanders played there.

To clear up confusion, New York Knicks play at MSG in Manhattan and Brooklyn Nets play at Barclay's in Brooklyn.
Or, for our hockey brethren, Rangers play at MSG and the Islanders did play at Barclay's for a while before moving back up to Nassau.
Love u guys content

Needed this
For at least the first year, RAW was held exclusively at The Manhattan Center. Then they started taking the show on the road.
Hammerstein Ballroom (which is where they held ECW One Night Stand) actually is in New York

To put that 15000 episodes in scale... I did a list of all WWF/WWE on Peacock up to Day 1 1/1/2022... and it was only 5434 things.
The most watched match was Austin vs Taker in 1999. I believe it did over 10 million viewers
The highest rated segment is This Is Your Life Mankind and Rock
