    I've made almost an identical rig! haha. Love the stand for your multiview (I also have the same screen). By the way the HDMIs your using are probably fiber which is why they are one-way only. I use a few of the same, just not as chunky as yours.

    That looks like a great setup. I'm going to have to make one of those for myself. One note: HDMI cables are not directional, and they can't go over 25ft reliably. What you likely have is an optical HDMI cable. It transmits picture over a fiber optical cable and has electro-optical converters in the plugs on the ends. These types of cables are usually reliable out to 100m.

    Howdy! Really digging the setup. Cant wrap my head around how you're running audio. Q: So when I get to my gig and need to plugin to vocal mics for the talent - They get plugged into the Redco rack? If so how do you leverage the rest of the (denon) racks inputs if you only have 4 XLR inputs in the Redco

    Great video I will say you are own borrowed time with those long HDMI runs they WILL fail. I have bought the most expensive ones including "fiber" and have replaced all of them eventually, instead consider using use SDI converters and never replace an sdi cable for the life of the cable.

    I re-watched your video a bit. I think budget and especially weight are to be considered. There is no best or ultimate setup. It always depends on what it is going to be used for. Rolling a case on little wheels is not what I like to do. especially with equipment that had the fragile hdmi connectors and fragile usb-c or mini connectors. So I made my case as light as possible with still everything in.

    Your setup looks great! I made one very similar for myself about a year and half ago, and I'm pretty proud of it, but yours is next level. Major difference with mine is that I rack mounted a mini pc for my control center, a Decimator D-Mon Quad to convert 4 of the HMDIs into SDI, and POE switch to use Dante gear and be able to plug in. I use the same type of monitor as you, and I am going to replace my router with a wifi router that combines a cellular modem with it. Still, yours looks better, and I love it.

    If you do go with an inverter, invest in a pure sine wave inverter. In my experience I have found that some new electronic devices will not work with a modified sine wave power supply. Pure sine wave inverters are more expensive than modified sine wave inverters, on average a good pure sine wave inverter will run you around $1 per watt that it can provide. I have a Samlex 120W pure sine wave inverter that I paid $130 for and it has worked every device I have plugged in to it.

    • @computerjantje
      @computerjantje 3 роки тому +2

      100ft hdmi cable is IMPOSSIBLE and yet they are sold and very very sometimes work with very forgiving equipment and a amplifier. However HDMI only works in general for a max 0f 10 meters reliable. Please note that HDMI is a consumer connection. Not a professional connection. However there are cables that change the hdmi to an optical signal inside the hdmi connectors and transport the signal that way over the fiber optic cable. They are called "optical hdmi cable" Please keep in mind optical hdmi cable convert the singal. This causes some delay. Also optical cable are known to be fragile. Si I would recommend to use hdmi to sdi (and back) converters. That way your transport goes over sdi cable which is robust and the professional standard of transporting video signal over longer cable. Explaining this technical is too much for one comment :)

      @@computerjantje Sorry, I missed that part as UA-cam collapsed your reply. So SDI has less or no delay for conversion?

    • @computerjantje
      @computerjantje 3 роки тому

      @@luketoh1 Yes no delay when converting hdmi-sdi --> sdi to hdmi. I use Black Magic converters. Usually I use two camera's which have their own 50 meter sdi cable including converts on both sides. And two camera's with hdmi cables with a max of 10 meters (usually shorter). There is no noticeable delay difference between the 4 camera's. With my camera's and the Atem mini I have to set 5 frames of sound delay when I feed sound directly into the Atem. This means that I have 7 frames (on a 50 frps feed) delay of video compared to direct sound. But I guess this differs per camera brand and type.
