Perfect ambient track for a dark forest like Duskwood. The quest with Mor'Ladim in this zone was excellent. Morgan Ladimore fought the war under Uther for years, only to come back to his family's graves. He took his life and would rise as a wrathful undead, his rage unleashed upon innocent noob players passing near Raven Hill cemetary !
As soon as you enter this corrupted forrest of evil and darkness, you feel like something or someone is watching you. Something terrible happend here. A history of evil and violence. The town folks told you to always follow the road, for what lies out there is unknown. One thing is certain, and that is it's going to get you - if you don't run fast. Behind every bush, every tree, every hilltop. Eyes. Staring at you - watching every move you make.
I remember first hearing this music when I started WoW two years ago in Tirisfal Glades, very fitting music for that zone, it strengthened the feeling that those dead trees had armlike branches reaching out to grab you. Creepy...
It's kind of creepy, i remember the first time i played WoW, it was in tirisfal. I looked behind me and saw some UD rogue, following me, and he ran behind a tree when he saw me looking at him. He followed me for a long long time, when i was walking i tilted camera to see behind me so he wouldn't know i was looking, and i could see him come scuttling out from the tree / bush he was hiding in and keep following. Especially when i stopped to kill mobs, was weird. He was quite a distance away.
yeah, even though it was just a game, when I was playing in Duskwood at night with no one in the house and most of the lights of the house all off seldom one light right behind me because "other people in this house are trying to sleep", I always feel like I'm gonna get jumped by something... In fact, I can actually recall jumping around and bursting into sweat every time my house made a noise under said situation.
The mysteries of Duskwood will always be some of my favorite memories. Darkshire and that random Dragon in the middle, ah... very creepy, but awesome place.
ohhh man i still know my first char a level 6 undead warlock(2008 the day they owned the most imo :P) i was in tirisfal and i went into the farm with the zombie-gnolls and i went inside what looked like a stable and i scared the hell out of myself due that when i went around the corner there were a gnoll and a quest mob i needed and i died :P

Felwood forest... farming Timbermaw Hold rep. I cannot recall but Mooncloth dropped of the Satyrs here ya? Or was that only Azshara Crater which I definitely remember.
I remember in vannila wow,i was walking about REALLY late at night,no one around and i was doing a quest when suddenly about 4 zombies ganked me,i literally fell off my chair
When WOTLK was just about to come out, remember the cockoroaches that infected you with the plague? I wanted to become a zombie, flee to duskwood, and try to summon all the undead at that one graveyard to all follow me and raid the elwynn forest and then SW. That plan nearly worked, until the npc's wouldn't follow me with that "follow" command.
The Day music sounds more like you are in a spooky forest whit graves and spirits around you everywhere, but it doesnt sound threatening.. its just spooky but it still aint sounds like zombies are going to come and chase you, its more like you have entered a creepy forest on the day, and the spirits wants you to go, they are just warning you, cause at night, the dead will rise and haunt you untill you are dead.
I remember asking a guy when i was lvling a mage in deathknell if he started recently. He told me he just started playing so i made a prank... I logged my lvl 38 rogue who was in Tirisfall Glades after a Scarlet Monastery. I went to deathknell,i let the guards kill me and then i ressurected inside Deathknell. then i followed this guy and when he had the spider quest in the mine i went in there waiting. He probably still remembers when i showed up with the skull over char lvl and scared him. :D
Day 37. Still looking for a way out of the forest. I'm convinced that the spiders are still following me, but I need to take a break. Perhaps if I get some sleep, I'll{the rest of this page is covered with blood and webbing.}
