I was at the taping. Some of the cheers for some girls are very um... generous and clearly edited . Scarlet got a huge cheer. Plastique got a big cheer and standing ovation. Nina got an even bigger crowd reaction that went into "Nina, Nina, Nina" chant for a few minutes. Then duh, Vanjie got the same treatment. I believe no one realises how Genius Shuga was. Juan Diego was asked by the Bishop Zumárraga to provide proof that Our Lady of Guadalupe had actually appeared before him. Being a frosty winter season and in the middle of a barren hill, roses were made to miraculously appear, so Juan Diego took them to the Bishop back in Mexico City. So as to not hurt the roses, he put them folded in his tilma and when he wanted to reveal them to the Bishop, he would let go and let all the flowers fall. There, the image of Our Lady was revealed imprinted on the garment. And that is precisely what Shuga showed.

Fun fact: Plastique is actually wearing the prestigious but fake Mikimoto Crown of the Miss Universe in her headpiece. Although upside down. The Miss Universe pageant has been prolific with the gay community in Asia in the past 10 years. Specifically huge in the Philippines (winning 2 crowns this decade), Thailand, and Indonesia (both countries with multiple placements aswell). Vietnam however has made it to the Top 5 in Miss Universe last year and Miss Vietnam was highly a favorite and became huge in Vietnam. I love how Plastique is giving it to us gays! YAAS QUEEN!

I believe no one realises how Genius Shuga was.
Juan Diego was asked by the Bishop Zumárraga to provide proof that Our Lady of Guadalupe had actually appeared before him. Being a frosty winter season and in the middle of a barren hill, roses were made to miraculously appear, so Juan Diego took them to the Bishop back in Mexico City. So as to not hurt the roses, he put them folded in his tilma and when he wanted to reveal them to the Bishop, he would let go and let all the flowers fall. There, the image of Our Lady was revealed imprinted on the garment.
And that is precisely what Shuga showed.
This editing is questionable. Why the hell do we need 6 close and far away shots of the audience when the focus should be on the queens walking. We’re not watching to see every billy bob and sally may in the audience

For those who don't know Shugas outfit is inspired by a religious legend of Mexico, the Guadalupana, it says Mary the Virgin told a poor man to go a hill when he got there there was nothing but the Virgin told him to go again but this time there were roses all over the hill and he collected them, when he got back to his town he wanted to show everyone the roses so when he flipped open his clothes like Shugas there was a painting of the Virgin Mary made by the stained roses
