Baalor had a really insightful comment about shovel. While on the surface you'd think that a relic should be more powerful than an upgrade, that's not actually what shovel offers you. Shovel makes you choose between a *random* relic vs your *best* upgrade. Your best cards should be a lot better than the average card in your deck (otherwise you just die) and the average relic is a lot worse than the best relics in the game. That perspective shift alone helped me intuit the numbers behind why shovel feels bad in practice while on paper it seems like it should be better.
Along side that some people not being able (or care) to identify their best upgrade will make digging feel better, because they are closer to random relic vs random upgrade
@@SabGamingWoodyard-if7dp fusion hammer, sure. If you have dripper, you'll just be upgrading at rest sites anyway. Girya and peace pipe also fulfil the same role of giving you other rest site options.
Just lost a run where I had two Impervious+ and a Panic Button in my deck and drew none of them (or any block cards really) on turns 2/3 while the Spire Sword/Shield swung for 61 and 56. This has nothing to do with this run. I'm just upset.
@@xXBamboostick3Xx since sts is so complex it's basically guaranteed that an improvement could be made in a run that got to Act4Elite. That doesn't justify you phrasing it in a meanish way imo.
@@xXBamboostick3Xx 25 card deck, 3 Shrug it off but no other draw. If memory serves though, it wasn't for a lack of trying. I noticed I was missing draw in, like, A2 and just wasn't getting anything to help on that front.
I also love thousand cuts. The level of big brain I feel when I play using it to completely avoid overkill on a jaw worm before I die in act 2 because I am bad at the game is unparalleled.
as fun as the crazy powerful ez win runs are, there’s something I absolutely love about a deck that limps its way to heart then somehow wins. it’s such a pleasant surprise when that happens.
The odd thing about shovel is that the better you are at the game, the less power it has since you can better identify what upgrades are best. When you are just starting shovel seems strong since random relic>random upgrade, but once you get good at identifying your win cons specific upgrade>random relic.
masterclass run right there. Ive yet to get an intangible run to work and this stacking worked great. doesnt hurt to pick up a catalyst at the end for damage - a little luck never hurts. But yeah, wow that was super good
It took me weeks to finally come up with a path to discovering the nature and origin of "Ogbomosho to you". First off, when you hear it, you have no idea what English letters even come close to making those particular sounds. So you can't even guess at typing it in to a search engine. Second, 'Jorbs' is too close to 'Jobs' so every search engine tries to auto correct for you. Nothing recognizes 'Jorbs' as the proper search term. After many tries over many weeks, I stumbled upon the search term 'jorbs new subscriber saying' which did in fact lead to the proper Reddit thread, 'What does Jorbs say when someone subcribes to him?' [sic] Note, that it is also not always immediately obvious that he is saying this phrase in response to someone subscribing to ... something. So yeah. It was perplexing and really, really hard to learn more about.
15:49 that's exactly how I feel every time I play Silent, I struggle and get nothing going while also getting terrible rewards and RNG and I ragequit and pick Defect and win first try (I'm a new player with 30~ hours not an ascension 20 veteran)
You definately saw way less card draw than in my runs, but you also skipped a Reflex in the Act 2 Orari (spelling?) rewards so.. beggars can't be choosers :P
This guys videos pop up maybe once a year and every time I'm so shocked that he's still playing this same game and so many people watch it. What. The. Fuck.
nice people engage in and respect social contracts with each other (pay for each others' healthcare, fight for each others' housing and other rights, respect each others' desire to individually express who they are), and warn each other about people who break social contracts (fight to ban medical care for some people, say that some members of society are lesser than others, etc.).
Conservative opinions are not just "opposing viewpoints", they are most of the time explicitly about wanting people to suffer ever worse, because it would just be not fair if they don't starve or freeze to death. There's no reason to tolerate them!
Whats the average cuts A thousand Cuts cuts if a thousand cuts cuts floor 1?
Approximately a thousand cuts .

Shovel in my experience is best when you get a coffee dripper or fusion hammer, makes the sting of nothing to do at rest sites better

That's rough.
No other draw cards in your deck / your deck was too big? Sounds like your own fault

It’s good to see UA-cam jorbs hitting so many shovels
That last take :D I thought you end it with, "as long as they are not Claw adoring" but yours was even better!

We literally upgraded a Beta Apparition on Silent before the champ when beta Apparition shows silent being invul to a champ’s attack, lol, meta

Overthinking to much and makes me sleepy . U are good at the game but 4 min to make a move is to much ...
I'm assuming the conservative comment was a joke.
It must be, since not tolerating opposing viewpoints is not something nice people do. :)
Conservatives tend to be the most intolerant people though. I usually try to be nice to everyone but I draw the line at racists and transphobes.
I don't think what he said was too far from the truth lol
Nice people do not, in fact, tolerate all opposing viewpoints. That would include, for most nice people, a lot of very evil viewpoints.
