Beautiful gun! I have one exactly like yours that I purchased in 1992 for about $300. I don't think I will ever get rid of it. It's one of those things I plan on passing down. Until then I'll shoot it once every couple of years, just because it's such a pleasure to shoot.
Got the same gun same year but there is some playing on the cylender even when the trigger is pulled I bough it on a gun shop where they said was fired tested , unliked my python is locked hard no movement at all
This will be useless info - the reason colts cylinder release pulls backwards is that it’s the same thumb movement as opening a loading gate on the opposite side in a SAA
purchased mine with the 6" barrel new in 1989. Of all the guns I have owned, I doubt this one will ever be sold. I love it!
I have a 1998 (last year of production) Colt King Cobra Enhanced Version with 6 inch Barrel. I feel lucky to have one.

Awesome, I’ve got one that’s a 1988 4” barrel. Barely shot... until now. 😈
Compared to the new 2019 king cobra I just bought one and I bought the python

Every time you dry fire that revolver, an angel cries.if you do that often enough on this particular model, you will cause damage

I dont like the cylinder release.
