These are the only two Bisch fragrances that I struggle with. TA reads very animalistic on my skin. I get a dirty, almost dog park smell and the cumin becomes an aggressive topnote. It's better on fabric. Tilia is the most revolting smell I've ever encountered. It feels like it tickles my nose hairs and crawls up my sinuses to drip concentrated, closing linden honey. It's the only fragrance I've been asked to remove. A full bottle will not be joining its Barois siblings on my shelf! 😢
The bubble gummy-ness you describe is sooo accurate. I get so much cumin when I spray on clothes…on skin I get the succulence and bubble gummy ness you describe and less cumin.
Bois is one of my biggest compliment getters. Oddly, I tried it with Chloe Nomade and it smelled like the very same woods held a mysterious rose garden.
As soon as I saw “Tilia”, I wondered if it would be about linden blossom. Tilia is the Latin genus for Linden trees (Tilia Americana & Tilia Cordata). The blooms smell incredible and slightly citrus-y. One of my favorite blooms of the year, along with ceanothus & acacia. Ironically, the lindens are blooming here in Portland, OR right now. Thanks for your great reviews.
Took a visit to Beverly Hills Perfumery today to treat myself to a Father’s Day Fragrance and ended buying Tilia. An Absolute love at first sniff. Smells nothing like Ganymede (which I own) but they also seem to have the same signature. Looking forward to wearing this one a lot this summer.
I have both! And I’m obsessed with them! A little more with Tilia actually, the minerality with the flowers is so special and it just garners compliments everytime I use it, and it’s gentler in terms of scent cloud than Tubereuse Astrale, which I think people appreciate. Mr. Bisch is on a spree for sure!
Finally a review of TILIA!!! ❤❤ waited for this review. Loved to hear your opinion. Personally I got a full bottle of TILIA. Love this scent , especially the drydown. I get honey at the beginning but it goes away pretty fast, and the dry down is gorgeous. Agree with you on the Linden blossom, wanted more of it.
You are the most reliable perfume reviewer on the net... 'cause you like the same things I like. After all, it all boils down to that. You review what you like, and we follow those who review what we like.
I have the Tuberouse Astrale, and is amazingly good, a lots of compliments ❤😅 I have also the Oud Maracuja by Crivelli, but remain on the Quentin Bisch fragrance, I love also the Encelade
I tried Tubereuse Astrale at a local store here in Northern VA (Arielle Shoshanna boutique) and went next door to Madewell to shop for jeans. Multiple people stopped me to ask what I was wearing. Bewitching scent; opening to me was the Red Hot juicy fruit gum but oh soo pretty after 10 minutes. Has just the right amount of sweet and animalic for me.
Tubereuse Astrale is a cumin cinnamon bomb in the opening! Then the grape bubblegum tuberose wraps around it and the deep dry down is the sexiest thing I’ve worn in a long time!!
I purchased Tuberose Astrale as soon as it launched and have been loving it. I think there is a note for everyone that sparks the brain and heart together. You just want to keep breathing it in. Love your reviews. My perfume collection is out of control but I love everyone of them.
Tilia is commonly called lime tree in the UK, where we tend to say Lime tree and Linden blossom, referring to the same plant. Think European translations are similar, not sure if that’s the case elsewhere. That may cause confusion re notes.
Just want to mention, sorry if off-topic, but I'm writing from Munich airport. Bought Aesop Ouranon just now. It's on my hand and I can NOT stop sniffing it. Transcendent. It does what I hoped Jovoy La Liturgie des Heures was going to do but what I got from LLdH was, unfortunately, Lysol Pine. Ouranon gets the resinous incense hauntingly right. And as it dries down it's getting only better. However, oud-rose is wafting around me too because at the Hermes shop the saleslady gave me a ribbon with a healthy squirt of Oud Alezan, which is now tied to the handle of my carry-on. It blew my socks off, but the price tag---not today. My first real sniff of an oud-rose fragrance. I DO like it. VERY much. I know you're bored with it, but it's new to me. I'm now pondering a curious experiment, layering a bit of Diptyque Kyoto (is that right, with the rose and beet?) with my sample of Oud Ancien, just to see what happens....
Tilia is the genus of the species, in spanish is known simply as Tila, I'm curious about the fragrance but all my attention is over Tubereuse Astrale, I JUST NEED IT!!! Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!
I'm loving Tilia ! Got a 2ml drained it and immediately bought a bottle. Totally wearable for a man. It shares ALOT of similarities with his other creation Liquide Gold by Liquides Imaginaires. A very underrated fragrance. For me it's a 10. Tilia isn't as good but it's still awesome!
I bought Tuberose Astral from Selfridges after I tested a bunch of others. I thought was really unique and sexy. I even got a compliment from someone in another shop. I do have to say that although it is amazing I find it hard ti find the right occasion to wear it. Its not easy for a guy to pull off tuberose even when is done like this.
Super review!❤ I did not like Tuberose Astral on first impression. But your review makes me want to go back and smell it again. I am even more curious about Tilia. I'll definitely try that one.
I recently bought Tuberose Australe and love it. It’s a beautiful perfume! I smelled Tilia briefly at Neimans, but didn’t have time to really pay attention to it. I did like it right away on the card, but haven’t sprayed on me.
I did try Tubereuse Astrale when it first launched. I don't remember how it smells. To be fair I did try one of two other fragrances the same day, so I got a bit of a meshing of fragrances. I'll try it again on its own.
The comment from a viewer about cumin!? Oh brother! Im looking forward to testing the tuberose one. Sounds Devine. Q B is brilliant Thanks ☘️ great reviews 💚
Cannot agree more about Tilia. It was a disappointment. The note of linden blossoms is practically absent, muffled by some off-putting mineral odour. And, even though it is too sweet and faint to my nose, Tilleul is far superior to Tilia. The best linden fragrances I have tried are the one by D'Orsay and Highgrove Bouquet by Penhaligon's
I agree, Tilleul is wonderfully natural ( I have the first version of Tilleul D'Orsay, which is very fresh and green), so there's no point in comparing it, because all Bisch's products, no matter what he put into them, have the same headache-inducing, ambroxan base.
Very disapointed with Tilia, as like you I love so much the linden blossom smell in the air in june. Nothing delicate here, I smell a uber concentrated fabric softener "spring flowers". The delicate tilleul is nowhere to be found...
Whoever said that comment about cumin must be check his nasal abilities with a doctor because that’s just beyond stapid and I suggest him to go and check UA-camrs making reviews about Lattafa fragrances, that’s your field buddy!

Ummmmm you meant *** BEST. LOL
You mean the Bischiest?
Quentin is the best! He’s so good I could blind buy and never be disappointed.
Quentin Bisch and Dominic Ropion my favorite perfumers. Great video thanks. Bois Imperial still gets me a ton of compliments.

I tested TUBEREUSE ASTRALE i must say i love it.
Oh this guy is my favourite perfumer😊😊😊😊 I like the most Tilia and Ganymede❤❤❤ all year round fragrances.

Tilia is hands down my 2024 summer signature scent! I better go get a backup bottle as I know after this video, it will start to sell out!
Bet it smells beautiful on you! 😊
I am budgeting for this...i fell in love
Tubereuse Astrale is a cumin cinnamon bomb in the opening! Then the grape bubblegum tuberose wraps around it and the deep dry down is the sexiest thing I’ve worn in a long time!!
Quentin Bish is my favorite ❤i have more than 10 fragrances from him definitely my favorite
my absolute favorite perfumer

I am obsessed with TA!
Quentin Bisch is my favorite Perfumer ❤️👏🏼👏🏼 Ganymede and B683 my favorite. Tilia is Famale oriented.
Good choice!
Experimentum Crucis in the winter is gorgeous especially its surprising evolution

He made that new Issey Miyake too! Excited to try it out

I think I’m gonna do an overview of that house. They are under under L’Oreal now.
@@ThePerfumeGuy That would be great! I was really entranced by their selection.
These sound really pretty. I've been curious about Tilia, good to hear your thoughts. (Also love that shirt, Sebastian!)
Great video!!! I own both :).
Hoping you'll review guidance 46 extrait!:)
Can't wait for that release:).
Just left Harrods and I am glad you have these covered. I smelled both amongst several others and was in love
I hope you got to try my own collaboration fragrance at Harrods?

Great reviews! I miss French Lime Blossom from Jo Malone.

I guess the Marc Antoine Barrois release is a designer version and the Maison Crivelli is the niche, as it should be!
I Already try tuberose Astral but for me is more fem it reminded me carnal Flower frederic malle
I love this perfumer. I bought blindly Ganimed and Tilia and I don’t really like it. Every other perfumes I’m obsessed ❤❤❤❤ thank you for your review

How's performance of Tilia for tou Sébastien?
I've tried Ganymede but didn't like it. 🌹

Tillia is a sweeter Lafayette St from Bond to me.
Great job

Are men can pull up tubéreuse astral ??
Yes I think they can!! :)

Try the other then see how nuclear it is compared to Tilia!
