Oh man!! This is the most exciting tutorial about simulation and deformation i've ever seen. Amazing thanks a Lot for share this. So is i do the same Workflow for each part of the car separately for example the Doors of the car it would more realistic like in your other video. adding particles and more rígid body setting and so on, i'll get the almost the same result like You got?
Glad to hear that thank you:) However is not "only" that : the other parts require a different approach and techniques combined togheter. weird, it can be for mutiple reasons.... but potentially is because you have to lower the geometry of both car and deform mesh. Do multiple tests basing on your pc
@@RaffoVFXI think the car was a bit geo heavy, so I turned down precision in the mesh deform to 4 instead of 5, and it seemed to work. Thanks for answering anyway, and thanks for the great tutorial.
I have the same problem here. My computer only let me bind at precision value 2. The car body is not reflecting the drastic warps that he had in the video. How would I decrease the geometry at that step? or would I have to redo the whole tutorial again? @RaffoVFX
@@RaffoVFX Would that be through the decimate modifier? Cause I have 3317944 face count for the body, and when I try to reduce it, it freezes blender :(
Great video! I'm running into an issue where if I press the ball on the car, it becomes jittery rather than a smooth deformation like in the video. What do you think is the issue? I tried tweaking the distance for the ball brush and worked smoothly at a distance but if I wanted to get close like in the video it would continue jittering again.
Hey raffo, thanks for this tutorial, its really helpful but i cant afford the patreon because im a kid so can you explain how did you do the glass breaking?
applying all transform is not good, since it will put the origin outside the object. You should apply only scale and rotation and set origin to the center like shown in the video.
This is simply amazingg!! Thank you so much, have been needing this recently. Subbing to your patreon too! Could you also guide me with proper settings for exporting all this animation to either alemic or FBX so I can import it in Unreal Engine along with all the animation and deformation?
thank you:) Unfortunatly I am not particularly skilled in exports to UE since I dont use it. But just for curiosity I tried exporting the alembic file and reimport it in Blender and it works perfectly, all except the glass particles (probably need some options activation in the export panel)
mmmh thats a nice question...if Im not wrong, weighted normals require autosmooth active, right? if yes, then you cant use them. But I need to invesigate more
Hello! Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question: I'm interested in the part where you can make a sphere collide with another object. Do you know which physics settings this rigging addon uses?
bro youre the only person that creates a realistic car crash physics in youtube🤯, i wanna buy your patreon but before that i want to ask something, is there anything else i need to buy or get an addon besides the RBC?
Hi! You have my same cpu :) I made all possible stress tests and well, with that specs dont worry that its gonna be realtime even with 250.000 vertices and 2 cars in the same scene. But what really makes the difference in the realtime performance is really the total amount of vertices of the "deform mesh", for which I would make my best to stay max at 4000 vertices for the car body, plus other 800 vertices for each door. GPU will be valid for the render mostly.
