Thanks for the part 2 Priya. Your vlogs are very informative and you keeps us hooked throughout. That man was speaking alot of sence. I hope your feeling better now. ❤❤❤❤
Found you through @IvainTures. Great stories regarding Indians/Asians in Kenya. Growing up in Kenya I always wondered "who are these people", because we rarely intermingled. The closest I would get to them was while shopping in their vast businesses...and that was just in passing coz they rarely talked to you unless if you worked in their business. Glad to see things have changed a bit and that Asians are now officially another Kenyan "tribe".
Hi Priya good that you meet "The Travelling Miss" she's also a very straight forward girl like you. Please bring her to India and you together explore Northeast India(Nagaland State) please stay safe and keep uploading 👍👍👍
Poor guys. They are neither Indians nor are treated as kenyans in kenya even though born and bought up there after taken over there as indentured labourers to work in sugarcane fields. They have to keep telling the people there that they love kenya, they only want to live in kenya etc etc. I am just happy that they are all educated on their own merit and have confidence in themselves that they can live anywhere in the world. Most of Indian origin ugandans after idi amin went to UK as some of them had british-India passports and others were also given asylum there in UK. Indian origin people in south africa always face attacks whenever there is some turmoil in that country I have heard.
stop playing victim, two members of parliament, supreme court judge of indian origin.....etc .they thrive in kenya coz they had different skills and services to offer,eg textiles, metal and food industry.also had a headstart at independence from british.
@@vicandew8014 ultimately they are left on their own in east and south african countries by those who took them right. Of course they fulfill their moral obligation of giving asylum when something happens like it happened in uganda and fiji. But these people have to keep proving that they love kenya and want to continue to live in kenya. That's sad.

Do native Africans want to adapt to the religion of the Indians, take their names, eat their foods etc.? I doubt it. That kenyan lady has a lot of misgivings about Kenyan indians. Bad employers are everywhere, actually indigenous kenyans are worse. House girls being overworked and less pay. A lot of those girls get less than 100usd per month. I have worked with indians and they were the best. Every society has good and bad people.
This man is so knowledgeable. He loves Kenya and appreciates the life he has.

Cheap labor brought lot of Indians to Jamaica during the British rules!
Not only to Jamaica. All over Britain’s numerous Dominions. Trinidad, Belize, Guyana, S. Africa, Uganda, Malaysia and Singapore! And many more.
It's not cheap labour. It may be "skilled" labour of that time. British didn't worry about money that time because they basically looting everyone 😂
Gandhi did not go Kenya! He went to South Africa! You should go there It has the largest number of people of Indiam origin outside of India.
