I really have wanted to cover something by nekobolo for the longest time because I have so many favorites of his. This one in particular has always just struck me closely in ways I won’t go on about right now haha. The lyrics were easier than usual for that reason!
If you aren’t familiar with nekobolo or his singing personality sasanomaly, I definitely would describe his music as very personal. Often times it comes across as just relaxing music until you notice the lyrics and start sobbing uncontrollably. He’s definitely in a genre of his own within Vocaloid as he steers away from the “anime”-ness and more toward the natural. Intensely human for Vocaloid music. Anyway, I love every album and he’s a great singer himself so I’d recommend checking them out!

Every year, I come back to this song. This song is one of the few that speaks to me and continues to do so. I remember when I first heard this song, it made me cry. It's so beautiful yet so sad. I'm so glad I downloaded this song before it was unavailable anywhere for free. I love it so much.

Nekobolo has been my favourite producer for a long time, and I find his songs very touching and powerful. Some of them are relatable, too. Songs like that help me to get through bad times, you know.

I've listened to this so many times before but this one time where I actually get to hear the words, I start to cry because I understand all of it.
I cried when before I understood. But now I cry more
I remember when I used to heavily relate to this song when I was younger. Struggling through mental health, depression, my first friend group being unreliable with my feelings, and being silenced. However, I came back to this song now, after years, and cried over how lonely it sounded, rather than how relatable it felt. The first step I took towards my happiness was the realization that I really am so small in the grand scheme of things. We are all complex in our own ways, but individually we are simple beings born of chance. When I realized that, my loneliness practically melted away because I realized that my biggest problems felt like they were more in my head.
I learned to open myself up, and become unapologetically vulnerable to those I wanted to be close to me. The human experience is incredibly lonely if you don't make the effort to go out of your comfort zone to connect with others. We live such short lives to be insecure about ourselves, when in reality nobody actually gives a shit about what your insecurities are since they're already focused on theirs.
Be unapologetically yourself, let people see you for who you are, and you will eventually find the people you are meant to be with and trust. Yes, it'll hurt, and it's scary as well.
But I promise, it is worth it when you finally find the people you feel at home with. Life is too short to be scared all the time, we all deserve to feel less alone in the grand scheme of things, on this little floating space rock.

Nekobolo's ways of writing music and lyrics is very human. It's realistic about human feelings and the real world. Away from the exaggerated emotions you can get from other vocaloid songs.

When I was moving across the country this song came up on my Sound Cloud. At first I was just looking for something to distract me from the long drive but then I heard Juby's cover of this and it really hit me hard. If I wasn't driving I would have started crying because I really connected to the lyrics and the things I'm still currently experiencing. After the first time I had this on repeat for about 14 hours as I drove and never got tired of it.
