The Bluecoats are one of many talented groups from DCI (Drum Corps International), which is a large group of marching bands that compete with amazing talent and skill. You should totally check out more DCI stuff.
Bluecoats are one of the top world class drum corps (for all intents and purposes they’re a marching band that only utilizes front facing bell brass instruments known as a Drum and Bugle Corps) in DCI. They Won the world class championship in 2016 and their 2017 season their show had a few TYS songs as well as some frank zappa. TYS and Bluecoats formed a relationship then and this was recorded the following year while the Bluecoats were on tour. (DCI corps will learn and practice their shows 12+ hours a day for a month then go on tour competing from June - August).
Also the outfits from thank your scientist are inspired by the Bluecoats as corps will rehearse 12 hours a day on non show days throughout the summer spending most of it in the south and Midwest. Hot weather means minimal clothing.
Thank You Scientist is so damn good!!!! One of the most talented band in the prog rock scene... Please check Anchor live at studio version!!! Another great performance 😁👍 Thank you for the reaction!! Greetings from Chile!!
TYS puts on such a sick live show, saw them in ‘15 when Claudio from Coheed & Cambria signed them on his label. check out ‘My Famed Disappearing Act’ 🤘🏻🔥🍻
I almost only listen to death metal and deathcore, all the time, but i had listen all mf albums from Thank You Scientist and it's like my favourite band hahaha
My name is pronounced as it is spelled except the "s" at the end is silent. Nee-ko-la it's the french version of Nicholas. Thank You Scientist is IMHO the most underrated band out there. Their music is awesome and they are amazing live. Amazing reaction guys.
The name of the Band is genial !! Look at the rythm around 4'30" . It reminds me of some "prog" Bands . Actually this music is well crafted (Reference to you GuyZ ; expecially this verb used by Jon and overall SUZI) . Jon prepared comment has pointed the accent in the best direction . Listen at around 7'05" this use of bass drum seems simple but in reality is pretty refined . One kick and endurance strenghtness . Thank you amico Jon for all the references to Us followerZ
