According to Teddy Riley's assistant, all of those recordings of BlackStreet, Guy, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson Etcetera, got auctioned off. Teddy couldn't, or forgot to pay the storage unit bill. That's where all those master recordings were at. I'm almost positive Joe Stone Street has a lead vocal version of "loves in need", because he's on the background vocals, of the Blackstreet retail. He had a similar voice to Stevie Wonder, so it only makes sense that he would sing a cover of that song.

Thank you for posting this. I have a copy of Blackstreet’s 1st album on cassette BEFORE it’s commercial release. There is a version of “Joy” with Michael Jackson singing the part of the hook of “I Can’t Help It” during the hook of “Joy”.
Today is a historic day for New Jack Swing. Oh my God this voice!!! So powerful! How could this bomb have been sleeping in the vaults for 30 years??!! I remember in 1993, I dreamed so much of a Blackstreet album with Joe Stonestreet as lead singer at the time of CB4 🙏
It was gonna happen but Joseph had a "drug problem". If Teddy Caught his employees even smoking weed, which is tame by today's standards. He would fire you on the spot. We got three released songs by Joseph, via Blackstreet. Baby be mine, loves in need, happy home. My educated guess is he sung Lead on these songs, but was replaced at the last minute. But, you can still hear his vocals in the chorus backgrounds. His vocals are very unique, and they stand out.
Sadly,money makes the world go round and that’s probably why this dope album Never seen the Light of day Teddy Riley is more than a Genius and i wish that he will live forever and give us timeless quality music RIP Joseph Stonestreet the only real lead singer from Blackstreet
