@@robbiesumantri Yep. People have this tendency to shoot color harmony and such, a leftover from when the street legends of yesteryear first had access to color film. I've seen those old approaches really hold back some great photographers. As painters have always known about graphic read: Values > Colors !
Given the opportunity, maybe I'd opt for an M2, 4 or 6, a zeiss 35 1.4 (or a summilux i'm not racist LOL) and a metric ton of fuji acros i'd never get to fully shoot before I died.
I’m happy we get both options. There are more people who are not willing to deal with film than film shooters but want the best quality black and white full frame photos
@gobgobcachoo HP5 for me dude.. I see where you’re coming from and I love that there are options for people who don’t want to shoot film. I know many senior photographers who refuse to go back to film photography
The m11m really becomes magical in post production
Crazy shadow recovery, unforgiving in highlights
Totally agree. Ive had mine since last year. It took me some time to find the best way to shoot with it. Which for me is to shoot for the edit.
Likewise… I still can’t get over how much I need to underexpose though
Seeing in B/W puts a new spin on everything. My favorite camera by far!
That's the trick of the Leica monochrome bodies- the OVF. So *we* have to see in BW instead of an EVF to show reality in BW. Pretty brilliant setup.
Learning to focus on luminosity is really helpful when shooting in colour as well..

I really learnt a lot observing colour and luminosity relations..
With m11m, it can literally allow you to always zone focusing at f/8-f/11 in any light conditions with high enough shutter speed.
Yes, pretty much… It’s a bit mental

to be fair, the LLL 50mm 1.2 is a chonk of a lens, and I think it still feels heavy on an m2 or m-a.
It’s the distribution of weight that gets to you… even a little bit of counterweight from the brass helps
I’m trying sooo hard to not get one…
Do it!!!!
Easy for me..I can't afford it lol.
I could buy so many bricks of tri-x to feed my M6 with for the rest of my life.
