I had this issue with a Dell Lattitude laptop. I had to replace the battery and the new one was not recognized. I followed your steps. Reseating the cable and blowing with compressed air resolved the issue. Thank a million times!
The first step actually helped! Thank you so much bro 💜
Thank you very much the 2nd step with the hard reset worked perfectly.
ah fix method 3 actually fixed my sister's laptop, thanks man!
Great video. Each possible fix described with enough detail to perform them but without extra chat. I tried cleaning contacts and a hard reset first without success. I proceeded to the next option of reinstalling drivers and it worked! Thanks for the excellent video!
After uninstalling the battery drivers, I couldn't restart on the battery alone cos the laptop has to be plugged to power the laptop. I use Elitebook 8470p
@@EasyTechs my battery is not holding any power so the laptop has to be plugged directly to work
Thank you! For me it worked like this:
1) Unplug the adapter wire from laptop
2) Remove battery
3) Press and hold power button (when battery is removed)
4) Blow the battery connectors (both on battery and laptop)
5) Insert the battery, press and hold power button....and then my laptop eventually started working and showed battery!
Great! Now all I need is to be able to remove the battery conector from my pc.
Oh wait! I had to get it melted into my potato pc bc it not work. GREAT!
I remove the charger, and the laptop turns off. I cleaned it out on both ends, put it back in, and im still getting the same problem. No charger, no power. This interferes with games as well. I run Valorant, and my computer just locks itself. Help?
Thank you so much! You really helped a lot! This was a life saver really....had urgent work and your first fix saved my life! Thank you!!

Worked for me by taking out the battery and power source and pressing the power button for a minute. Thank you very much!

You saved my life.😇.Thank you❤️
If you notice swelling under the notebook's keypad (especially if you have an ultrathin notebook) it means that the battery is breaking up. It can lead to destroying your computer, or creating a fire, if not replaced immediately. This happened to me recently. It is why the software did not recognize the battery any longer.
With the newest batteries, they run hot (like within your mobile phone). So, pay extra attention to this new reality.
Thanks mate! My laptop's trackpad is bulging out. I'll replace the battery ASAP.
I'm so sad when I faced this problem I thought I'm gonna die if my father's see my laptop but when I'm trying to bring my laptop to default I found your video and and done the first step and yaa....it worked for me thank you so much ❤️🙏🏻
WATCHED OVER 30+ VIDEOS ON HOW TO FIX YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT GOT MINE WORKING THANK YOU SO MUCH DUDE!!!! LIKED & SUBED!!! - EDIT I thought I was going to have to buy a new laptop thanks again!!!
@Vincent Trinh your work won't be saved in case if you accedentally unplug the cable. Could be frustrating if you lose all your work
Thanks for this useful video.. This helps to solve my problem. I purchased brand new battery for my old Dell Studio laptop but it was not detected by windows. So I tried your method by air cleaning the contact area of the battery and then I used (Nigrin) which is contact spray for electricals .. AND THEN ....YES , windows detected the battery and start to charge :) ... Many thanks bro
Thanks man you saved my money .I just follow your first tip and after that my battery is working.
You are a life saver.
I tried the second one and it worked thank you very much❤❤
Thank you so much for this video tutorial it helps me fix my laptop
I’ve had no battery detected any time when the plug gets unplugged it turns off and I can’t check if the battery is defective or not because it’s one of those laptops were you can’t remove it there’s no parts to take out your battery. I tried uninstalling it on device manager however there’s three programs in the “Microsoft composite battery” it will not let me uninstall that one I can uninstall the “Microsoft AC adapter” as well as the “Microsoft ACPI”. But it will not let me uninstall the third one. What do I do in this case?
Fantastic video! I haven't yet tried the methods, but your instruction is very clear, concise, and easy to understand and follow.
This video has really helped.
Nothing to give you but thanks alot 💓💓
It worked with my toshiba aftermarket battery. I replaced my aging battery that couldnt hold a charge for s**t. 2 days into the new battery and it would not provid power to the laptop despite showing its percentage and charging to full it would just shutdown immediately after unplugging the AC adapter. After watching this video the culprit was a software problem, had to uninstall the microsoft battery drivers. It fixed the problem. Thanks for the video!
Thanks a lot
It was very helpful
IT WORKED! Thanks a lot!!! I will follow and like!

My battery is empty. I could do what you suggested with an empty battery. My AC charger does work though, but I can't updated the bios without at least 10% battery.

Thx sm the last one worked
Hi EasyTech.
My Laptop comes up with the battery (without ac adapter) and it's still showing "battery detected". My pc is acer aspire v5. The battery icon is showing like the charger is connected with the read mark. Even though the charger is not connected.
I tried to update the BIOS but the one I downloaded requires that a battery is detected before it can complete the installation.
Thanks man this was a fix
Thank you so much 😊

3:32 what function keys need to click in BIOS settings to default to restart the laptop?
I walked through all of the steps through downloading and installing updated bios drivers. Upon restarting, the red X went away. I’m now waiting for the battery to charge. I hope this is a final resolution. Thank you!
seems not working for me :( when i installed the new bios driver it says i should plugged in the battery and ac adapter. i have already plugged it in and thats basically my problem since te laptop didnt recognozed it. im going crazy of this. pls help. ps. this is a new battery i bought. :(
You just got yourself another subscriber😀
Till 24 hrs ago I could run my laptop without AC adapter for some time. The problem was that it always used to show a 100% power, ie: never really showing the actual capacity left. And it would lock and shut down (hibernate) randomly. Even when plugged in. Now it shows me "No battery is detected" and shuts off at the instant of AC adapter removal.
I already have Windows 10, and my battery is internally fixed.
Tried all of the fixes shown here; none of them seem to work for my laptop. The local technician says it might be a motherboard issue. What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance
Thanks very much mate, you sorted my issue - which I think was due to my new battery not locked in correctly.
it works! thank you. keep making more content plz
hey friend,
I'm having this issue.
Recently, I've tried to upgrade RAM and clean thermal paste. so before that I've removed internal battery connection.. and after I finished all things, I tried to turn pc on battery-only; and it does not respond anymore.. but it turned on with AC cable plugged in.
And after it's on, I can remove the cable and it still on.
What I mentioned is that the battery is not recognized on either BIOS, and also on Windows.
Could I try with Bios driver roolback.
Please provide me with any help.
Solveed with power off button pressed thanks a lot!!!!!!! I can return the other battery that I bought in replacement ahah
