Phase 6A of Bus Connects has finally arrived today, seeing out routes 46A, 46E, 63, 63A, 84, 84A, 84X, 143, 144, 145, 155, 184 and 185. The 46A obviously grabbing major attention from enthusiasts, media and the general public as it's a true Dublin icon. Even if you're not a bus geek, you'll surely know the 46A and unfortunately, it's become history after being a part of Dublin for almost 100 years - gone but not forgotten!
The new routes are as follows: L1, L2, L3, L12, L14, L15, L26, L27, X1, X2, E1, E2 & 19. Here I've filmed the L27 as it was a quiet journey and a good driver to go with it. This has replaced the section of the 63 between Dun Laoghaire and Leperodstown Valley and sees buses in both directions now serving Ballyogan in both directions. Interestingly, the 63A which saw buses going via Foxrock once a day each direction has not seen a replacement service, leaving Foxrock unserved with no bus service.
